Luxana was a forest dweller that was an example of how her job in Dura was the same as the job she had now. While in Dura she took care of artifacts and treasures, she collects weapons, armor, and trinkets in her new life.
It wasn't even insignificant items that she keeps, but ones that have high quality and have been through refinements that sent it to its most powerful form. Alden was impressed by how much she took care of the items and kept them in their most pristine condition.
"You cannot become an adventurer without a proper weapon. I see that the one you have now is old and has barely any power."
Alden took his sword and its scabbard that he tied to his back. It was given to him by Lana, but he didn't know what its actual purpose was to him when he did not need any kind of weapon to cast his skill.
He took a look at the old sword with the wooden scabbard. It looked like it didn't have the greatest time in the world after being used for so many years and just wants to retire. Its condition was nowhere near good and it could do more harm than good because of how it was.
He raised the sword and found it more broken than it was before. It belonged to an adventurer who tried to invade the forest but died because of starvation, and Alden only took it because he thought Lana gave him proper items.
"I have to speak to her when I get back."
He sighed. His weapon was taken from him by Luxana. She raised it and scrunched her face.
"Rusty, dusty, and overall sad. This weapon would not do, great one. You have to have a cool eye-catching weapon so everyone would know that they're messing with the wrong person."
Alden laughed and shook his head.
"I do not need flashy weapons to showcase my abilities. All I have to do is strike them with my power and they shall kneel before me."
Luxana sighed and shook her head in disagreement. Alden saw this and was confused. He was a powerful diety of the largest forest in the world. He has powers way beyond human comprehension. So, why was Luxana seem to be disagreeing with him.
"You don't know anything, great one. This world has long since evolved. You may have the power, but the people now have the means to overpower you through hax and techniques."
"But I have an overwhelming power that can annihilate them. It's not a hard task if you know what to do."
Luxana disagreed by shaking her head. She proceeded to talk how a lot ot humans could properly utilize their skills to create means in defeating foes that are more powerful than them.
Alden laughed. He glanced at Luxana, eyes glowing a bright green tint. She gasped and covered her mouth with her hands when she felt the ground move, shaking lightly.
"You cannot possibly thinking about summoning a golem? And in the middle of the city!"
Alden laughed, raising his hands to the side and allowing his power to seep through the ground.
"Oh, I am thinking about it. And I'm just going to show them how this little power of mine can cause massive destruction."
A loud explosion echoed throughout the city. People gasped and a stampede of panicked citizens erupted. This caused the screams to get louder and for more people to run.
"You got blinded by your pride! You're going to really regret this!"
Luxana didn't hesitate to run outside. She saw crowds of people run away from where she was, but it was too late for her. There was a large shadow looming from her shack.
When she looked up, she saw a large wooden golem. It was looking directly at her with marble eyes that had a familiar light green tint. Luxana was about to return to her shack to ignore the golem when a shadow front nowhere appeared.
The caped shadow brandished their sword and struck the golem right on its neck. When the blade pierced the wooden flesh, the figure slammed its feet on the right shoulder and spun midair.
The force from its spin created a powerful strike, causing a gust of wind enforced with magic to cut the neck of the golem. Without even letting the head of the golem drop, the figure then jumped right above the giant creature.
"Final Strike!"
The figure screamed as they raised their sword above their head before slashing it forward. The blade was charged with an immense amount of magic, allowing it to cause a massive crescent-shaped attack that cut the golem in half.
Luxana could only watch as the figure annihilate the golem without even breaking a sweat. The events happened too fast that it didn't immediately registered in her mind.
Meanwhile, Alden was watching through the window of the shack. He was staring at the figure before it took its cape off, revealing a tall beautiful woman.
She had dark blue hair that she tied to a high ponytail while wearing a men's suit that suited her body perfectly. She had eyes that were blue as the deep oceans and lips as plump as the fresh cherries.
Alden was shocked at how quick his golem was defeated. He was sure that humans would've struggled for days before they could defeat such monster, but this human did it in seconds.
"Are you okay, miss? Are you hurt anywhere?"
The woman asked Luxana. She draped the cape she took off earlier over Luxana and smiled at her.
"I'm fine. Thank you for saving me."
Alden had too commend how Luxana acted. He could never imagine how she managed to maintain her character of an innocent young girl. Her posture and acting was so spot on, it could almost fool Alden himself.
"You're fine now. You can go home. I'll take care of this."
Luxana nodded and hurried to the other direction of where the shack was. Alden knew that she had to mislead the woman so she was going to take a longer path home to avoid the woman's radar.
Alden continued to watch as Diana arrived at the scene. He remembered that she was an important figure and holds some power. This could mean that the woman who destroyed his golem was also like Diana, a strong and powerful adventurer.
"There's been quite a huge mess here in Fastes. Who was even brave enough to create a high-level golem and manifest it here where we just arrived?"
Diana scoffed after hearing what the other woman said. She looked around and collected debris from the fight. There were some tree branches that fell from the tree and it did nothing escape Diana.
"I'll look into this, Roxy. Tomorrow, I'll find out which adventurer did this. This wood is even rare. How could they produce such wood?"
Diana said while she continuously collected more sticks from the golem. She saw that some sticks that should be from different trees and from different age were not possible. The woman golem was made from a single source which was unique because golems should be made from different parts.
"Golems are created from combining materias of an affinity to create a sentient, yet non-living servant. If a mineral golem was created, it would be possible to create an outer diamond shell with different mineral composition inside."
Diana spoke, causing Roxy to follow her train of thought.
"It was hard to create one specific material golem because the magic inside should bounce to another another to create a system for its enitre existence. It was much like how a human body can be just made of flesh. We have to have bones, other tissues, and even enzymes."
Roxy and Diana rushed to where the golem was cut, revealing a single material all throughout its body. They laughed at each other and shook their heads in confusion.
"It's only a single material golem? In this scale?"
Roxy could only scoff in disbelief as she watched the giant that she destroyed.
"Whoever did this must be crazy powerful."
