"Primordial Descent!" With a swing of the person's hand, a meteor as large as a continent came crashing down onto the enemy nation's 10 million strong army.
While the pressure exerted from the massive falling object made the weaker soldiers and magicians explode into blood mist; the stronger paladins and magic knights died by having their bones and organs crushed.
Soon, even the S-rankers and SS-rankers followed their comrades to the afterlife.
As for the enemy nation's SSS-rank Hero, he could only stare at the giant meteor with eyes filled with regret. His hotheadedness had actually provoked a monster he was powerless against.
If he had known the terrifying prowess of his opponents beforehand, he wouldn't have urged his father-in-law, his Majesty to declare war on his rival's country. Even an SSS-rank Hero like him was powerless before such monstrous might.
But just right before the SSS-rank Hero was squashed to death, the Hero suddenly lifted his sword before pointing it to the massive object and shouted, "Tch, Lee Jian, this SSS-rank hero shall not die a dog's death like this! Goddess's Anger!"
The golden aura that initially enveloped Lee Jian's entire body converged towards the tip of the hero's holy sword before it turned into a beam of white golden light that shot towards the giant meteor in an attempt to destroy it.
On the other side of the battlefield, the person who had casted Primordial Descent before, suddenly smiled in satisfaction as if he had already predicted Lee Jian's last ditch attempt.
With a snap of his fingers, the massive meteor he had initially brought down from space broke into millions of flaming rocks that rained down towards the remaining soldiers while the hero's beam of light passed through nothing but air.
"What the?" Lee Jian felt that his three world views had been overturned as his last ditch attempt had been completely countered by his opponent with ease.
"Monster! That man is a monster!" Lee Jian cursed as he was pierced by those flaming rocks and died a dog's death.
10 minutes later…
"And….that's the last of them! As expected of the continent's strongest X-ranker! Your Primordial Descent and Demon God Tears are truly worthy of their names, Guildmaster Han!" A skinny young man praised the man beside him after confirming the death of the remaining enemy soldiers.
"I was expecting a better response from the so-called Hero of the West, Lee Jian. To think that the strongest of the four heroes of the continent only amounted to this much, what a let down…" After saying so, the man casted flight magic before flying back towards the capital, leaving the skinny young man behind.
'Haiz, Guildmaster Han….you didn't even give the Hero of the West a chance to show himself off before that. Did you expect that the hero Lee Jian was like your disciples? Did you think Lee Jian was capable of repelling asteroids with his mental strength, or having a barbecue on the surface of the Sun?? No, of course not! Although he was capable of moving mountains and upending streams with his bare hands, he was still very much grounded to the planet. Teacher, you however had already decimated entire planets and stars by yourself. Well, this is the sheer gap between X-rank and SSS-rank beings anyways." The skinny young man bitterly laughed before he too tore a hole in space and teleported back to the frontline city, Yosai.
The frontline city of Boln, Yōsai was a famous fortress city built in between tall mountains and deep ridges that stretch for tens of thousands of miles long.
The frontline city of Yosai was famous for its impregnable defense and strategic location that every invader must pass through this city first before they could access the rest of the Kingdom of Boln.
It was a real pain in the neck for military strategists and yet, this was only the first blockade of the kingdom.
Not to mention, there were several guilds of various professions situated inside the city walls standing as the city guardians as well.
There were merchant guilds, adventurer guilds, craftsmen guilds, and many other guilds that complimented each other everyday.
Furthermore, each of the guilds' guild masters were all SS-rank and SSS-rank professionals in their respective field.
For example, the guild master of the Iron Crafters guild was an SSS-rank Blacksmith capable of creating magnitude 7 earthquakes every time he hammers out a piece of metal.
Besides him, there was also the guild master of Flora's Garden guild, an SS-rank Florist famous for gaining the blessing of the Goddess of Flowers, Flora and thus becoming the Saintess of Flowers after that.
Her divine magic to make anything into a flower field was so beautifully destructive that the government assigned her to the frontlines as a condition for allowing her to create her own guild. The fortress city of Yosai was truly a place filled with dragons!
Out of these several types of guilds, there exists one mysterious guild called School.
The guild master of School is said to be an X-rank Teacher with knowledge surpassing even that of X-rank Scholars and Sages found around the world. Even Boln's X-rank Royal Sage has admitted that School's rumored guild master was a once in a lifetime genius.
With his mysterious teaching techniques and support skills, this mysterious X-rank has taught and trained hundreds of Boln's SSS-rank powerhouses as well as its current military.
According to Yosai's own army, the guild master of School has never once shown its face since he was first invited to train them.
Besides that, the soldiers of Yosai can confirm that School's guild master was in fact male and was only in his 40s.
As for whether the dude was married or not, not even Yosai's own lord was willing to disclose that since School was the fortress city's backbone.
It was also the guild master of School's own request to only release surface level information to the public.
Exposing more than requested might just cost them the whole country after all.
3 days have passed after the last battle, the citizens of Yosai continued their everyday lives as a young man with black hair and green eyes was arguing something in a cubicle.
"What do you mean you're retiring?!" The young man asked.
The person he was arguing with was a middle aged man who shrugged his shoulders before answering the young man.
"I'm retiring. That's it. I've already completed most of my life goals since I've walked this path to become the world's greatest teacher."
"But, teach!"
"Yun Tian, enough!"
"But…"
"I've already made up my mind. I'm done." The middle aged man sighed before he placed both hands onto the young man's shoulders.
"Listen to me, Yun Tian. When I'm gone, make sure you water the plants and feed the gremlins for me, kay? As your teacher, I feel proud that I have taught and trained you to the best of my abilities."
"Uhm, teach…Why does your farewell speech sound like you're going to die??"
Ignoring Yun Tian's words, the middle aged man continued to speak. "As your master, I feel relieved that I can pass my life's work to you."
"But teach, I am not teachers' material. My class is Sword Saint. If I inherit the school, will the other teachers even accept me??" Yun Tian asked.
"Of course they will! Because a) back when they were still my disciples, each one of them turned me down the moment I tried to make them the next principal of this school. b) I've already talked this issue out with all of them in the previous teachers' meeting and they agreed. So, have fun and don't come looking for me. Bye!"
With that, the middle aged man teleported away without waiting for his disciple, Yun Tian's reply.
"Teacher!!!!!!"
