  "Ember wanted the pack to like her for herself," Ethan remarked getting up from the counter and heading for the door. "Not because she was related to even by marriage, or her aunt's mating."

Stopping in the doorway, he merely turned his head. "I'm going back to the hospital. Excuse me."

  He didn't leave eyes going to Tony who nodded his head without a word, and then Ethan was gone.

  A second later, the sound of a car could be heard driving away from the house, and Mike a given a searching look.

"He cares about her," Tony explained with a soft sigh. "He just hasn't realized that she could be so much more although I think his wolf has already come to his conclusion."

Tala frowned sitting forward. "You don't think…"

  "I'm not sure," Tony admitted reaching out to grab her hand, and seeing the confused look on Mike's face, explained. "You know Ethan came back from a mission when he heard Ember was hurt."
