Chương 77: Hockey

Marie's pov

My eyes were fixed on the half-moon that formed in the night sky. I swallowed hard at the sight of the moon, I inhaled deeply as I listened to the sweet melodious tunes of the breeze dancing with the leaves. It almost felt like reconnecting with nature.

The sudden cries of my daughter were all I needed to snap me back to reality.

I gaze at her as she wailed in a desperate search for attention, the same attention I seek from my mate that I may never obtain as I was one of those unfortunate wolves who were rejected even before they could taste love for themselves but I was done being that sorry ass mate of alpha's who didn't care if I and my child dies or see the light another day.

With that thought, I stood on my feet and reached out for my daughter. I laid her on my arms, my gaze pierced into her tender skin.

"I will be your lover and you will be my peace," I muttered with tears running down my cheek, and I kissed her tender forehead.
