--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A blue glow appeared in Feng's eyes, before he looked down at his chest where a blue fireball was.

Currently a dark, black spot tainted the spotless blue fireball.

Feng extended his hand, and the energy in his soul moved. It quickly surrounded the dark spot completely, before trying to pull it out of his soul. A sting of pain made Feng narrow his eyes, but he didn't stop and continued dragging the dark energy.

A few seconds later, the dark energy was finally removed from Feng's soul and confined within an aura of his soul energy. The dark energy struggled as it desperately tried to return to Feng's soul, only to be pulled further away by the blue aura. After a few moments, the dark energy collapsed and turned into mist after no longer having a soul to attach to. Feng's soul energy guided the dark mist out of Feng, where it was snuffed out by the pure mana inside the War God's Temple.

Seeing the dark mist disappear, Feng put the matter of the soul curse to the back of his mind. However, he didn't immediately go on to buy stuff from the War God's Temple's treasury, instead he switched his gaze to the two new items inside of his bag that he picked up from the Atrocity.

After the Atrocity was killed, unnoticed by Feng, two items had dropped from its corpse. Feng had immediately landed on the ground and started resting after killing the Atrocity, not paying any attention to the Atrocity's corpse, thinking it was like the rest of the monsters in the Twelve Trials' trials. Afterwards, he was distracted by the Merit Points, and then the system notification about the Evil God cursing him.

Only as he was about to step through the golden door and leave the Twelve Trials did Feng catch a glimpse of the items from the corner of his eye. When he realized that he had almost left some precious items dropped by the Atrocity inside of the trial ground, Feng sweated bullets and quickly stuffed the items inside of his bag before leaving.

Now that he had finished dealing with receiving the Purple Stigmata from Kratos as well as the soul curse left behind by Aza, he finally had the chance to check what other gifts the bastard left for him.

Feng took out the first item from his bag, which was a pitch-black heart that pumped every once in a while, releasing an evil aura along with Divine Might, and inspected it using Observing Eyes.

However, all the information came back as Unknown. Realizing that Observing Eyes weren't able to identify the black heart, Feng decided to test out his newly gained Eyes of Truth. Within a second of using the Eyes of Truth, all the information that originally appeared as Unknown was revealed to Feng.

[Atrocity's Heart]

A heart originating from a royal Atrocity that was taken and modified by a certain Evil God to be used as a conduit in order to create the perfect Atrocity. If one awakens the hidden power and inheritance inside of this heart, one will gain the powers of Atrocities and have the potential to rival Primordial Gods.

"A Legacy item?" Feng was surprised when he saw the black heart's information. It was beyond his expectations that the Atrocity would drop an item that contained the Atrocity race's Legacy. Although Feng knew that there were players who submitted to Aza and became his followers and they could receive the Atrocity's Legacy, players usually had to pay a high price for it and they would only get low level Legacies.

But not only did Feng get it without becoming Aza's follower and only killed an Atrocity for it, it was also a Top tier Peak Legacy.

Depending on the origin and how far they could take you, Peak Legacies were divided into grades. Basic Peak Legacies originated from Tier 5 beings, usually the more powerful ones with unique abilities or skills; these were the most common Peak Legacies and are the ones around 90% of people with Peak Legacies had. Intermediate Peak Legacies originated from Gods, beings who were on the same level as Gods as well some Tier 5 beings who had strength comparable to Gods; the rest of the people who had Peak Legacies usually had these. Advanced Peak Legacies originated from Ancient Gods, beings on the same level as Ancient Gods and some powerful Gods who had strength comparable to Ancient Gods; even in the Greater God's Domain, any clues about Ancient Gods were scarce and highly sought after, so a Legacy belonging to Ancient Gods or beings with similar strength were incredibly valuable. The top Apex experts of the Greater God's Domain's various powers usually had these Legacies.

And then there were Top tier Peak Legacies which originated from Primordial Gods, beings on the same level as Primordial Gods and some powerful Ancient Gods who had strength comparable to Primordial Gods; these Legacies were so few that they practically didn't exist, and any player who got their hands on one would become a Taboo level existence.

Of course, even among these ranks, there were separate levels based on the strength of the Legacy's origin.

Meanwhile, the Atrocity race's Legacy that Feng obtained was a Top tier Peak Legacy, and even though it couldn't exactly be considered strong amongst Top tier Peak Legacies, it wouldn't be that weak either.

"At least I have a backup now." Feng felt relieved. After all, he had no idea if he'd be able to get the Blade Saint Legacy in this life as well, which was something that's been on Feng's mind for a while now, so the Atrocity's Legacy came at a good time, and it would be a decent replacement for the Blade Saint Legacy if something went wrong and Feng doesn't manage to acquire it.

Moreover, although the Blade Saint was an Ancient God who had strength comparable to Primordial Gods, and the Blade Saint Legacy could be considered to be at the bottom of Top tier Legacies, the Atrocity's Legacy was still of a higher grade than the Blade Saint Legacy.

However, as the Atrocity's Legacy was a universal Legacy meant for all classes, the Blade Saint Legacy, which was meant for Berserks and Swordsman, was more compatible with Feng. On top of the fact that he already had experience with the Blade Saint Legacy from his previous life, Feng would much more prefer to use the Blade Saint Legacy in this life as well.

As this was pointless to think about until he attempted to get the Blade Saint Legacy, Feng put it to the back of his mind and stored the Atrocity's Heart before taking out the second item dropped by the Atrocity.

A crystal black, rhombicosidodecahedron[1] that seemed to have a galaxy of stars sparkling in it appeared in Feng's hand.

[Aurora Blessing] (Legendary Rank, Consumable)

A powerful energy source that lost most of its power, now only able to increase a skill's power by two tiers (Up to a maximum of Basic Tier 6 rank) up to one time. (Can be used one more time)

"Oh?" Feng raised an eyebrow at the item's description, not expecting Aza to leave him such nice gifts along with all the Merit Points.

Feng stored the Aurora Blessing, and just as he was about to start buying stuff from the War God's Temple's treasury, his system communicator rang. Meanwhile, the person calling him was Aqua Rose.

"Did something happen?" Feng asked, while knowing the reason for Aqua's sudden call.

Previously, Feng had already told Aqua Rose that he did not wish to be disturbed as he was about to do a quest, and that, unless there was something big happening, she shouldn't try to contact him.

"Dark Star has suddenly declared an all-out war against us, and several hundreds of our Guild members have already been killed by members of Dark Star while they were out grinding. Moreover, the core team, led by Fire Dance, has also been trapped by Dark Star inside the Silverleaf Forest. Although we've already sent reinforcements, they were blocked by members of Dark Star outside the forest.

"What I'm trying to say is that, Guild Leader, you need to immediately contact Gentle Snow and have her send some people to help contain Dark Star so that our members can take the opportunity to save Fire Dance and the others!"

Aqua Rose was extremely anxious at this moment. They had already failed to break through the encirclement of Dark Star around the Silverleaf Forest multiple times now. Although she knew how skilled Fire Dance and others were, they had limited Stamina so if this situation continued, they would truly be finished.

"Alright, I'll contact Gentle Snow immediately." Feng disconnected his call with Aqua Rose after saying so.

He had already expected this call, as he had previously told Fire and the others to lure out Dark Star and let it 'trap' their team. Naturally, they could have easily broken out, or even just massacred all of their attackers before they continued leading their team, but if they did that, all of Dark Star's members and Lone Tyrant would retreat after realizing the difference in strength, which would make Feng unable to properly deal with and humiliate them.

Moreover, since Feng Xuanyang had already decided to attack him and Zero Wing, he'd do it at some point regardless of whether he ambushed Fire and the others. So instead of letting the annoyance linger about and attack at a random time, Feng figured he might as well bait Feng Xuanyang right now when he was already prepared for it like in his previous life. Of course, none of the members from the core team died this time around.

Feng then called out his friends list, selected Gentle Snow's name, and chose to contact her.

It was a fact that Ouroboros and Zero Wing were allies. Since an ally was under attack, Gentle Snow naturally did not refuse to send reinforcements when Feng asked. Moreover, Gentle Snow had found out about this entire matter a step ahead of Feng. Hence, she had already organized her subordinates even before Feng contacted her, and they were just about to hurry over to the Silverleaf Forest right at that moment.

Gentle Snow had gathered 2,000 members from Ouroboros to aid Zero Wing. Of them, 500 were elite members of the Guild. Such a powerful force would pose a huge threat to the 6,000 members of Dark Star blocking the way into the Silverleaf Forest.

"Many thanks for your help, Miss Snow. In the future, members of Ouroboros that shop at the Starstreak Trading Firm can enjoy a 10% discount on all products," Feng said in thanks.

"You said this yourself. I'll gladly accept your offer, then." Gentle Snow revealed a faint smile. Currently, over half of the player population in White River City was patronizing the Starstreak Trading Firm. After all, not only were the items sold there of good quality, there was also a large selection available. Moreover, the product supply was plentiful. Normally, the various Guilds in White River City would always make a trip to the Starstreak Trading Firm before they went Dungeon-diving. If Ouroboros could receive a 10% discount when purchasing items there, it would save the Guild a lot of money.

"Really, though, just what is going through the minds of those people in Dark Star? It would be fine if it were just the usual minor skirmish. However, they have actually declared an all-out war on Zero Wing. Isn't Lone Tyrant afraid that his Guild might suffer heavy losses and lose the ability to compete for the First Clear of the Three Great Dungeons?" Gentle Snow commented curiously.

The competition over the First Clear of the Three Great Dungeons had already reached its most crucial moment right now. Moreover, Dark Star only had the final Boss left to defeat in order to snag the First Clear of the Land of Death—and gain an absolute advantage over the other Guilds.

However, Dark Star had instead chosen to take action against Zero Wing at this critical junction.

God's Domain had been launched just recently. At this early stage of the game, everyone was busy leveling up and raiding Dungeons to strengthen themselves. Guilds, in particular, were deeply afraid of falling behind others. Even if conflict arose between Guilds, both sides would usually choose to show restraint.

After all, an all-out war between Guilds would profit nobody. Worse, they might even get taken advantage of by a third party. If such a situation were to truly occur, then the damage to both Guilds would grow even more massive. Hence, unless there was a huge disparity in strength between both sides, nobody would casually choose to start a war.

Dark Star and Zero Wing were both among the top six Guilds in White River City, so the difference in strength between the two Guilds was not particularly wide. No matter how Gentle Snow looked at the situation, she could not figure out why Dark Star would choose to suddenly declare war.

"I am afraid that the one starting the war this time around isn't Lone Tyrant, but the organization that's backing him, Underworld," Feng said indifferently.

"Underworld!" Gentle Snow couldn't help but wrinkle her eyebrows at this revelation. "So that's how it is. I've been wondering how Dark Star had managed to suddenly obtain so many experts. It turns out the mysterious power supporting Dark Star is Underworld. However, how did you manage to find out about this? Even though I've planted many spies inside Dark Star, I never managed to uncover the forces hidden behind Dark Star."

"Feng Xuanyang from Underworld came looking for me to buy some of Zero Wing's shares. However, the price he offered was simply too low. I rejected his offer, so now he is trying to get back at me by destroying Zero Wing." Feng revealed the truth.

Gentle Snow immediately understood the situation after listening to Feng's words.

It was no wonder Dark Star was completely unafraid of commencing an all-out war. With Underworld's background, it only needed to field a part of its forces located in the eastern region of Star-Moon Kingdom to completely destroy Zero Wing. With such a large disparity in strength, it was natural for Dark Star not to fear a war.

"So it is Feng Xuanyang. He is indeed a person who would take revenge for the slightest of offenses. However, with Underworld's financial power, his offer to buy Zero Wing, which possesses a Guild Residence, should not have been low. At the very least, he should have offered 500 to 600 million, right?" Gentle Snow came to an abrupt realization. However, she also felt curious about this matter, as the Feng Xuanyang she knew was not a tightfisted person.

"One billion Credits and several hundred experts. In addition, they would also provide 100 Gold Coins as support every week," Feng said.

"One billion Credits and also 100 Gold Coins per week? Feng Xuanyang sure is generous. Even I might feel tempted if given such an offer. Yet, you actually complained that it's too little? No wonder he's angry." Gentle Snow chuckled softly.

Feng simply replied with a faint smile, not bothering to give an explanation on the matter.

Aside from a few core Guild members, along with the ones whose memories have been returned, knowing about the Purple Sun Mansion being their new Guild Residence, nobody else knew anything about it. The others only knew that Zero Wing possessed a Guild Residence. They were not clear where exactly it was located. After all, there were simply too many plots of land available in White River City. Moreover, the Purple Sun Mansion was currently under reconstruction. It would take two more days before it can be used and also unveiled to the public.

Following which, Feng made some small talk with Gentle Snow before ending the call.

Just as Feng was about to call out the exchange interface of the War God's Temple, he received a system notification.

System: Steroid's duration ended. Overdose effect initiated.

'Oh shit' Feng mentally prepared himself as soon as he saw the system notification, but he suddenly felt a dizzy spell as a wave of exhaustion washed over him while his face turned slightly pale, and the world around him started spinning.

Feng immediately closed his eyes to tune out the effects as he took in deep breaths. A few moment later, Feng opened his eyes again. The dizziness and nausea that was previously in his eyes was replaced by clarity.

Although Feng isn't able to completely shrug off the Overdose's effects, with his experience from his previous life and this one when he first tried out the Steroid, along with his mental preparations, the effects induced on him were limited; and at least he'll be able to function normally as long as he takes it a bit slow.

After recovering, Feng opened the exchange interface of the War God's Temple's treasury.

The War God's Temple was one of the strongest powers in God's Domain. This was a fact that remained true from ancient times up to the present.

As for this War God's Temple Exchange System, players would automatically activate it after obtaining the First Clear on a 100-man Team Dungeon. However, one would already require large amounts of War God's Temple Reputation even to exchange for a Fine-Gold item. In God's Domain, Reputation with the War God's Temple was infamous for being extremely hard to obtain, not to mention meeting the required Reputation for exchanging an Epic item.

If not for his quest, Feng would not have the chance to exchange for even an Epic ranked item. He would not even have the chance to lay eyes on them. Feng then filtered the exchange window to display only Divine Artifacts.

A total of two Divine Artifacts were shown.

[Luminous Starlight] (Divine Rank, Two-handed Staff)

Equipment Requirement: Strength 20,000, Intelligence 80,000 [2]

Required Merit Points: 200,000

[Skyfrost Blizzard] (Divine Rank, Two-handed Spear)

Equipment Requirement: Strength 100,000, Intelligence 20,000

Required Merit Points: 250,000

Feng immediately chose to exchange for them. However, as the Divine Artifacts were incredibly valuable, they wouldn't simply appear after Feng exchanged for them, and instead he had to wait for the War God's Temple's personnel to bring them over from their treasury. Feng didn't care about that though, as he looked at his remaining Merit Points and calculated what he could buy.

With all the rewards from the thirteen trials as well as Kratos' extra reward, Feng had gained a total of 659,500 War God's Temple Merit Points. However after previously purchasing the Seven Luminaries Ring, Depth's Blade and Dragon's Flame Blood inside the trails, along with the very expensive Luminous Starlight and Skyfrost Blizzard just now, Feng only had 186,000 Merit Points left.

After recollecting his memories from the information he had on the War God's Temple's treasury, as well as taking in consideration the amount of Merit Points he can pay using Gold Coins, Feng decided the items he was going to buy. From his previous life, Feng knew that once he had 10,000 War God's Temple Reputation Points and the privileges of a Vice-Temple Lord, he would be able to pay for 50% of the Merit Points using Gold Coins for items below Fragmented Legendary rank, 40% for Fragmented Legendary rank items and 20% for Legendary rank items; while there would be no change for Fragmented Divine rank items and Divine rank items.

As Feng was only able to see the names and ranks of the items, along with equipment requirements for some of the high rank items like the two Divine Artifacts, he didn't know the attributes and abilities of the items, so he could only buy the items he already knew about; unless he wanted to take a risk and gamble with his limited Merit Points. Although, he could tell the differences in quality between the items based on the price, as not all items among the same rank have equal strength and price, just because an item is costly and of a high quality, it didn't necessarily mean it would be suitable and compatible with Feng, his fighting style, skills and other equipment.

Thankfully, though, Feng knew about plenty of items due to him working closely with the War God's Temple in his previous life, along with the information from his guild members who bought some items and information from some of the other players who purchased stuff through out his God's Domain.

Unfortunately, as Legendary rank equipment and weapons in the War God's Temple couldn't be used by players, only by NPCs, Feng could only stick to Fragmented Legendary items. In less than a minute Feng finished buying the items he wanted, spending all of his Merit Points. He had bought a total of 12 items, of which 8 were Fragmented Legendary equipment pieces, a Fragmented Legendary weapon, one Epic and one Fragmented Legendary Ornament, and one Legendary rank material.

A few minutes after he finished purchasing everything, Ucarus suddenly showed up and approached him.

"Lord Ye Feng, I am here to deliver the items you purchased from the War God's Temple's treasury." Ucarus said respectfully as he handed Feng the fourteen items he had purchased. At this moment, Ucarus was acting completely opposite of when he first spoke to Feng nonchalantly. After all, not only was Feng recognized by the Temple Lord and received the Purple Stigmata, but he also now had the status and authority of a Vice-Temple Lord. Although he couldn't actually use the authority properly to mobilize the War God's Temple's forces and other things that Vice-Temple Lords could do because of his current low strength, his status still stood. Moreover, Feng had shown incredible potential during the Twelve Trials, and there was no doubt that he'll quickly grow, probably even surpassing the current Vice-Temple Lords.

Thus, Ucarus treated this young man with the full respect he'd normally treat the Vice-Temple Lords with.

"Thanks." Feng thanked as he accepted the items and glanced at Ucarus weirdly. Although the Divine Artifacts were precious and needed to be manually transported from the treasury, as God's Domain hasn't been updated that much yet, this was only for show, so any random receptionist could bring them to Feng and it was unnecessary for Ucarus himself to do it. Feng had originally intended to brush it off and check the items information, but after noticing that Ucarus was still standing there and seemed like he wanted to say something, Feng asked "Can I help you with something, Lord Ucarus?"

"This... Lord Ye Feng, I was wondering whether you'd be willing to sell me some of the Unicorn blood? I can offer you a Legendary item for a bottle." After hesitating for a moment Ucarus finally spoke. Although the Unicorn from the Twelve Trials wasn't a real one, its blood would still taste the same as a real one's even if it couldn't provide any of the benefits; moreover, if he had a Grandmaster Chef use it in cooking a dish, it might bring additional effects.

Ucarus had originally intended that, even if Feng knew the value of the Unicorn's blood and refused to sell it, he'd simply use his strength to 'persuade' Feng into selling him the blood for some things of decent enough value. But considering Feng's current identity, Ucarus decided against it and opted to try and entice Feng with Legendary items in order to not miss this once in a lifetime opportunity to try the blood of such a legendary creature.

'Oh, so that's why.' Feng realized why Ucarus was the one to bring him the purchased items and why he didn't immediately leave considering the situation with the Endless Abyss, as it was arranged by him so that he could get a chance to buy the Unicorn blood from Feng, but Feng shook his head at Ucarus' offer "My apologies, Lord Ucarus, but I'm not intending to sell the Unicorn's blood."

Although Legendary items were valuable, especially at this stage of the game and one could be of great help to Feng, he still chose not to sell the Unicorn's blood. After all, he had many ways to get Legendary items as long as he increased his strength, and ones better than anything Ucarus could offer him, but he didn't have another way of getting Unicorn blood; at least not until he finds to source of the Unicorn's soul string, that is. So he naturally wasn't willing to exchange the Unicorn blood for a Legendary item, even if the blood has no special effects. Ucarus would have to offer him a Fragmented Divine Artifact at the very least before Feng considered the trade, but that was naturally impossible, since even if Ucarus did posses one, he wouldn't be willing to trade it for something that has no particular benefits for him.

"Is that so? What a shame. Well, never mind, then." Ucarus sighed in disappointment before bidding farewell to Feng and leaving. He still had many things to do and had decided to just shoot his shot and see if he can get a bottle from Feng.

After Ucarus left, Feng switched his gaze to the items he had bought. The first things that caught his attention were the golden staff and pale-blue spear that radiated Divine Might. These were none other than the Luminous Starlight and Skyfrost Blizzard.

As Feng looked through the two Divine Artifacts' description and attributes, he nodded in satisfaction. In his previous life, although he never owned a Divine Artifact himself, he had seen the description of a couple of them, and although the two Divine Artifacts weren't anywhere near the top in terms of attributes, they weren't that bad either. They would rank around average compared to all the Divine Artifacts Feng has seen, and considering that most of those were from the Greater God's Domain while these two were only from an Elementary God's Domain, Feng was pretty satisfied with them.

One thing that surprised Feng, though, was that neither of the two had tier requirements. Normally, many Legendary items would have tier requirements, with some ranging from Tier 3 to Tier 5, while that was even more so for Fragmented Divine and Divine Artifacts, with those sometimes even having Tier 6 as a requirement to use them. Yet, neither the Luminous Starlight nor the Skyfrost Blizzard had any tier requirements. But considering their attribute requirements, it was practically impossible for anything below Tier 6 to equip them.

Feng stopped thinking about the two Divine Artifacts, since not only were his attributes nowhere close enough, but they weren't weapons meant for Swordsman, and switched his gaze to the rest of the items he had bought.

The first thing Feng purchased was a four-piece Fragmented Legendary Set Equipment. This was also the only Fragmented Legendary Set in all of the War God's Temple's treasury, which ended up being famed in his God's Domain for a time for being one of the only few Fragmented Legendary Sets, and was also the most expensive purchase one could make in the War God's Temple at the Fragmented Legendary level, costing 100,000 Merit Points.

A regular Fragmented Legendary item in the War God's Temple's treasury cost 15,000, and although the price increases with the quality of the item, even the most expensive Fragmented Legendary rank equipment piece only costs 25,000 Merit points. In fact, if sold separately, the four pieces of the Set would only total to around 75,000 Merit Points, however, when sold together to form a set, the price instantly goes up. Moreover, the War God's Temple only sold them in a set, so players could either buy all four at once for 100,000 Merit Points, or none of them at all.

Although the price was a bit high, Feng still chose to buy the Mysticsteel Set. After all, even he didn't have a reliable way to get Fragmented Legendary Set Equipment in his God's Domain at all unless he relied on luck, let alone with his current strength. Moreover, the four equipment pieces themselves were of a decent quality among Fragmented Legendary rank equipment, and when they're combined to make a Set, they are much better than having individual pieces of better quality.

The Mysticsteel Set's four platinum blue parts were a bit mismatched and separated into two sides, the Leg Guards and Belt and the Bracers and Pauldron, however, thin blue lines connected the two sides, making it look like they were all a part of one body.

Each part of the Mysticsteel Set can be considered of good quality among Fragmented Legendary rank equipment, and although some of the skills were useless to Feng or ones he'll never use, there are others among them that would be of great assistance.

Moreover, when the four pieces were worn together, the benefits they bring were much greater, especially for the set effects they provide.

The next item that Feng bought were a pair of dark purple Boots that had sharp blades like mantis claws sticking out from all sides. The blades were so sharp that one could cut one self on them just by slightly grazing them, and the entire boots radiated a violent and murderous aura.

The Boots of Slaughter were really equipment meant for extreme speed, large scale killing, and would be very suitable for Feng and his fighting style.

A Legendary armor forged using the Blood Emperor's remaining blood. Due to severe damage the armor received during a great war between Gods, most of the Blood Emperor's Armor's power had been drained, and repairing it would require 7 bottles of Royal Vampire blood. Royal Vampire blood required to repair Blood Emperor's Armor to Legendary rank (0/7).

Required Merit Points: 24,200

The bloody armor was among the best the War God's Temple had at the Fragmented Legendary rank, and along with its high attributes, it had a powerful Berserk skill that gave the user the ability to fly. Before reaching Tier 4 or getting Flying Mounts, players had very few ways of flying, having to resort to Mounts in order to cross large distances, and those few means of flying the players had were either short in duration or consumables, so even though the imperial Ascendance only lasted two minutes, it would be of great use in a fight even with just its wings.

As for the last piece of equipment Feng had bought, it was actually a universal Helmet that could be worn by all classes. It was also one of the most expensive pieces of Fragmented Legendary equipment with very unique and powerful abilities; and also unique looks.

The helmet was completely circular and almost completely white, with only having an opening to put it on and a thick, tinted black glass that made it impossible to see inside on the front of the helmet for allowing the wearer to see.

It actually kind of reminded Feng of the helmets in those old space movies that he used to watch as a kid that were used by astronauts in space.

A powerful artifact created by the Goddess of Space that was lost during the war between Primordial Gods, only to later on randomly fall out of empty space and be found by the War God's Temple. Its repairing requirements are unknown.

Required Merit Points: 25,000

As the Space Helmet was not only a powerful Fragmented Legendary equipment, but also a universal one being able to be used by all classes, its price is among the highest, only matched by a Fragmented Legendary Chest Plate that wasn't suitable for Feng.

However, the Goddess of Space was amazing indeed. The Space Goddess was an Ancient God who had incredible strength and had even surpassed many Primordial Gods, and she had many impressive creations. From the Space Helmet Feng was currently holding and the Seven Luminaries Ring whose Replica he was wearing, to the Seven Treasures in which she was involved with making, as well as many impressive items across the Greater God's Domain.

From the rest of the items Feng had bought, two were Ornaments, of which one was the only Epic item he had bought while the other was Fragmented Legendary rank.

Ornaments by themselves are rare and difficult to obtain, and especially so for high rank ones like these two. This could be seen as well by the number of Ornaments in the War God's Temple. For Epic rank Ornaments, including the two Feng had bought, there were only 15 in total. As for Fragmented Legendary Ornaments, there was only one left in the War God's Temple's entire treasury now. Though, Feng didn't know about Legendary ones, as he didn't bother checking those since he couldn't use them.

That's just for average Ornaments of that rank. For top-tier ones among the same rank, their value was many more times higher, and this went a thousand fold for the Lucky Charm. Although it only had one passive skill, having this one skill is better than having ten others. With the benefits one could get from the Lucky Charm, even the various powers in the Greater God's Domain would kill to get their hands on it.

Well... that's an understatement. Those guys would kill to get just about anything even remotely valuable if it meant someone else couldn't enjoy it. As for getting the Lucky Charm, suffice to say they'd wipe out entire lineages and sell their families for it.

But that didn't matter now, as it was already in Feng's hands. As for why he bought the two Ornaments instead of spending his Merit Points on something else, it was because Feng knew about these two Ornaments from his previous life and that they provided the most Luck points out of all the other Ornaments; and Feng was planning to raise his Luck as much as he possibly can before opening the Legendary Treasure Chest he got for reaching Worship with the War God's Temple.

Legendary Treasure Chest were incredibly rare even in the Greater God's Domain, and even with his incredible luck, Feng could count on his hands the number of Legendary Treasure Chests he had opened in his previous life; with one of them being this one as well.

The reason for how rare the Legendary Treasure Chests were was that besides the least ranking item in it being Legendary rank or something of equivalent or even higher value, was that there was a slim chance for Fragmented Divine items to appear in them; and if it did appear, it would be a top-tier one among Fragmented Divine items. Only, the chances were really small. So small in fact that people even began to believe it was a rumor that someone could get Fragmented Divine items from Legendary Treasure Chests.

Feng, however, knew that it was true, as he had once managed to obtain a top-tier Fragmented Divine item from a Legendary Treasure Chest, and this item became one of his trump cards as well as one of the reasons Zero Wing and he were able to survive in the Greater God's Domain at the early stages of their development.

Because of this, Feng knew the true value of a Legendary Treasure Chest as long as his Luck is high enough.

Naturally, now that he had gotten his hands on a Legendary Treasure Chest, Feng wouldn't be stupid enough to simply immediately open it. He had decided to first raise his Luck as much as humanly possible before opening it, and these two Ornaments were one of the ways for increasing it. Either way, Feng wasn't in a rush to open the Legendary Treasure Chest, as even if he did open it, he most likely wouldn't be able to use whatever he got.

Aside from the Lucky Charm, the last Fragmented Legendary item Feng had bought was a Fragmented Legendary one-handed, pitch-black sword with six snakes wrapping around its hilt. However, this sword is a bit unique, as Feng knew it is a damaged Divine Weapon that's fallen to the Fragmented Legendary rank.

Moreover, Feng was familiar with this weapon, as he had seen it being used as a Fragmented Divine Weapon in his previous life. Only, he had no idea what it was doing in the War God's Temple's treasury as a Fragmented Legendary Weapon.

Another thing that separated this sword from the others and made it unique, was that it wasn't a regular sword, but a chain-whip sword.

A sword previously wielded by a certain Demon God. The sword was badly damaged during the battle in which the Demon God was killed by the God of War. It was rumored that a piece of the Demon God's soul is still sealed inside of the Pandemonium Lashblade, and if one wishes to gain full control over the sword, one must pass the Demon God's trial. Although the Pandemonium Lashblade has lost much of its strength, as the weapon is still intact, it is possible to repair it to a certain extent by injecting a Demon God's Heart of sufficient strength. (Demon God's Heart injected 0/1)

Required Merit Points: 68,000

When Feng originally saw the sword, he had wondered why it was here and for sale, when he knew it was wielded by a player from a Dark Force in the Greater God's Domain that invaded his God's Domain. Moreover, Feng was certain that it was the same sword and not a similar one or a replica, only a weaker version of the one he saw and fought against.

After seeing the Pandemonium Lashblade's description and putting in some thought, Feng had a few guesses. Feng figured that it was most likely stolen by the traitors in his previous life and either given or sold to the Dark Force which was made up of the remaining members of the Demon God who this sword originally belonged to. Those people most likely knew more about the sword, and had been able to repair it to the Fragmented Divine rank.

Feng also had a guess on why it suddenly appeared for sale in the War God's Temple's treasury when he was sure that it was never there in his previous life and that no one could have bought it. And that was, that this is some kind of a trap for him.

Feng didn't care about that though, as he was fairly certain of what goal the traitors had by putting the Pandemonium Lashblade for sale, as well as the problem with the sword. Moreover, the Pandemonium Lashblade was a powerful Fragmented Legendary Weapon, and its current form's attributes were comparable to the first version of the Light of Two Worlds Feng wielded in his previous life; along with its incredible skills, and although it has its drawbacks and some people wouldn't use it because it's a Demon Sword, it'd be a waste not to use the Pandemonium Lashblade.

Also, Feng had found a new fighting style he liked while using the Depth's Blade, and the Pandemonium Lashblade being a chain-whip sword suited it.

Unfortunately, Feng currently didn't have enough attributes to equip it. In fact, except, for the Lightning Descendant, Feng couldn't equip any of the other items he had bought, as he was only missing a bit for some items, while a lot for others. However, Feng was unbothered by this. He simply equipped the Lightning Descendant before taking out a shining, golden, star shaped object that radiated intense mana, which was the final item Feng had traded for from the War God's Temple.

[Magic Star] (Legendary Rank Material)

A celestial object filled with an incredible amount of magic . [4]

Required Merit Points: 10,000

Feng held the Magic Star and pressed it against the Heavenly Dragon's Breath.

System: Do you wish to allow the Heavenly Dragon's Breath to absorb the Magic Star?

Feng had known that he wouldn't have enough attributes to equip most of the items he had bought, so in preparation, Feng had bought a Magic Star that he knew the War God's Temple possessed from his previous life to repair the Heavenly Dragon's Breath a bit.

Unfortunately, although the War God's Temple had many Legendary rank materials in its treasury, it only had one Magic Star, so Feng was unable to buy all the necessary ones needed to repair the Heavenly Dragons' Breath. Though, even if it did have two more, Feng wouldn't be able to buy them, as he was practically out of Merit Points. In fact, after buying the Magic Star, Feng had spent all of the 186,000 Merit Points that he previously had, along with 183,000 Gold Coins; shrinking the wealth he obtained from Paradise Cavern by more than a third[5].

Agreeing without hesitation, the Magic Star released a blinding glow, forcing Feng to shut his eyes. A few seconds later, the glow disappeared, and Feng opened his eyes to find the Magic Star had disappeared.

Meanwhile, although the Heavenly Dragon's Breath's outer appearance remained the same, the aura around it had increased by a large margin, as it released dense mana.

The Dragon Slayer Mekaseru once owned the Heavenly Dragon's Breath. It was originally a Legendary Ranked Item possessing the suppressed strength of the dragon tribe. Due to damage resulting from a war between Gods, its might has greatly decreased. However, the Heavenly Dragon's Breath possesses an incomparably strong magic power and possesses the potential to restore itself. Its past glory may be restored with two Magic Stars and one Dragon's Heart. Current restoration (1/4).

With the boost in attributes from the Lightning Descendant Feng previously equipped, as well as the Heavenly Dragon's Breath's boost, Feng was finally able to equip the Mysticsteel Belt.

After equipping the Belt, Feng's attributes greatly increased, and he was able to equip the Mysticsteel Pauldron and Mysticsteel Bracers now as well. With the two parts equipped, Feng had enough attributes to complete the Mysticsteel Set.

The Mysticsteel's three-piece Set effect and four-piece Set effect were activated after Feng equipped the Mysticsteel Leg Guards, and allowed Feng to equip the Lucky Charm, Boots of Slaughter, Shock-Inducing Fists, Blood Emperor's Armor and Space Helmet.

Feng's attributes continuously skyrocketed, but at what cost?

Looking at his image in the system panel and seeing all the mismatched equipment, Feng cringed. With platinum blue arms and legs, red chest plate, grey gloves, weird looking purple shoes and a Space Helmet on, Feng looked completely ridiculous. Although funny looking combinations of equipment were common in God's Domain, and this was true even among top-tier experts in the Greater God's Domain who don't use Set equipment for various reasons, extreme cases like Feng's were rare, and Feng thought that he looked like a cartoon character.

Thankfully, there were ways to somewhat change an equipment's looks manually, even if just colors, and Feng had the Demon Mask, which he immediately used to change the looks of his equipment to a plain looking black suit of armor. If not for having it, they could be eight Fragmented Divine rank items for all Feng cared about, he would not appear in public wearing them.

With his ten newly equipped items and one repaired one, Feng's attributes had increased many-fold, and he had enough to equip the Pandemonium Lashblade.

Placing his hand on the hilt and clicking on the system panel to equip the sword, the Pandemonium Lashblade released a black mist that quickly surrounded Feng; while the eyes of the six snakes coiled around the sword's hilt lit up, and they quickly slithered along Feng's arm and towards his neck.

Although Feng detected what was happening and could have stopped it, he simply let the sword do its thing.

A moment later, Feng's vision blurred, and the scenery around him changed.

Feng found himself inside of mighty palace with obsidian pillars and sculptures all around. At the far end of the room Feng was standing in, there was an elegant purple throne with demonic symbols covering it. On the purple throne sat a slim and graceful figure slightly shrouded by purple haze.

The young girl's hair was composed of violet curls in two long ponytails, and she dressed up like a noble lady, wearing a black velvet gothic skirt with blood red lace lining contrasting with her delicate white skin.

Under her skirt, black stockings wrapped around her two slender legs, which were clasped in black boots. It made her look even more attractive and charming. Dark red was painted on her arrogant eyes, her thick eyelashes were beautifully shaped, and her lips were covered in pink lipstick. She gave off a dangerous charm that made people willing to die just to indulge her body.

Meanwhile, the sharp, pitch-black goat horns on her head, bat wings extending from her back, and pointy long tail coming out of her perky buttocks revealed the girl's identity as a Demon.

[Celestina[6]] (Primordial Demon God's Fragment, Tier 4)

Level 30

HP 300,000,000

'Just as I thought.' Feng nodded to himself inwardly. He already knew from his previous life that the former owner of the Pandemonium Lashblade was a Primordial Demon God, and after seeing the sword's description about the fragment of the Demon God's soul still being inside of it, he mostly figured out what the traitors' trap was.

"So you are the lowly human who got their hands on my sword?" Celestina spoke in an arrogant tone as she looked down on Feng from her throne disdainfully, with her powerful, primordial aura radiating from her "You should feel proud, lowly human, for you shall have the honor to become my vessel and allow me to use your body in order to return to this world once again. As a reward, after I had recovered my strength and no longer have a need for your body, I shall use your soul to create a corpse puppet, and you will have the honor to serve as my lowly servant." Celestina spoke out in a grandiose manner, as if Feng was receiving some kind of incredible blessing; making Feng narrow his eyes in discontent, "And, by the way..." Celestina suddenly spoke out, her arrogant gaze turning into one of confusion as she gave a good look at Feng "What the hell are you wearing?"

Under Celestina's powerful eyes, the disguise created by the Demon Mask shattered, revealing Feng in all of his mismatch-armored glory.

Feng nearly chocked when he heard Celestina's question and noticed the Demon Mask lose effect. He had expected a lot of things, but he hadn't anticipated that Celestina would notice, or even care, about his outfit.

"It's my ass-kicking outfit, bitch."[7] Feng put on a serious front to cover his embarrassment as he unsheathed the Abyssal Blade "And I'm afraid I'll have to decline becoming your vessel, thank you. I still have many things to do that require me not being possessed by a Demon."

"You seem to have misunderstood, lowly human." Celestina's voice turned cold as a hint of anger appeared in her scarlet eyes "You don't have a choice in the matter."

Celestina fully released all of her aura after saying so. Although she was no longer a Primordial Demon God, her fragment still had enough power to easily force a mere Tier 0 being to submit simply by using her overwhelming aura. At least, normally.

"That's where you're mistaken, little demon." Feng said casually while remaining completely unaffected by Celestina's aura "I'm the only one here who has a say in the matter."

While Celestina's aura was immense and a regular person would indeed submit and lick her shoes as long as she released it, it was meaningless to Feng. Resisting the aura of a powerful being like Celestina mostly counted on three things: strength, Concentration and Will Power; and some special items could be of help as well.

Although Feng's current strength was far inferior to Celestina's and was unable to help him, his Concentration was fairly high, and even though it normally wouldn't be enough to completely resist Celestina's aura, his incredible Will Power as well as countless experience in dealing with powerful beings from his previous life allowed him to remain nonchalant in front of Celestina's attempts to subdue him with merely her aura.

"Oh?" Celestina showed a surprised expression for the first time when she noticed Feng seemed completely unaffected by her aura, but it quickly returned to an indifferent one "It seems you aren't completely trash after all. Fine, you lowly human," Celestina stood from her purple throne and flapped her bat wings, rising into the air while a pitch-black chain-whip sword, the Pandemonium Lashblade, appeared in her hand "Hard way it is, then."

The sword was swung in Feng's direction, and the Pandemonium Lashblade split into multiple parts, however, unlike what Feng saw in the sword's description about it being able to extend out to a maximum of three yards, the one in Celestina's hand easily extended to over thirty yards, reaching Feng in a instant.

"How scary." Feng chuckled when he sensed the life threatening danger. Celestina was currently only a soul fragment from her original form, and she didn't have much individual strength, apart from her experience as a Primordial Demon God and the remaining strength of her soul fragment that was the source of her immense aura. Her actual strength completely depended on the Pandemonium Lashblade as her soul was sealed inside it and dictated her tier, and on Feng as its wielder and who dictated her Level.

But with the Pandemonium Lashblade being at the Fragmented Legendary rank, Celestina can recover her original strength to Tier 4, and with her being a fragment of a Primordial God level existence, her current strength became very threatening to Feng, whose strength after equipping all the purchased items he could, not counting the Pandemonium Lashblade, reached the Tier 3 standard. Although reaching this standard in strength at Tier 0 was impressive, it didn't matter as he had no way of beating Celestina in a fight.

In fact, just this casual swing of hers had almost reached the Tier 5 standard in both strength and speed, which Feng was completely unable to react to. If not for his senses warning him and telling him of the incoming danger, he wouldn't even know that Celestina had swung her sword.

With this level of strength, as well as needing to resist Celestina's aura, practically anyone below Tier 5 would be committing suicide by attempting to wield the Pandemonium Lashblade. Feng, however, didn't care about the difference in strength between them and remained as casual as usual.

Underneath the Space Helmet, a faint blue glow appeared in Feng's eyes.

Suddenly, everything inside of the majestic hall froze.

"What- arghhhhh" Celestina questioned in disbelief after noticing the Pandemonium Lashblade freeze in mid air and noticed she was unable to move, but an intense pain that felt like someone was squeezing her insides made her scream out and collapse to the ground from the air, dropping the Pandemonium Lashblade during her descent as well.

"Oh, you cute little demon." Feng said in a teasing manner as he casually strode towards the collapsed Celestina, Demon Mask's disguise reactivating and changing his armor back to a plain black one.

"You-" Celestina gritted her teeth to bear with the pain and glared up at the approaching human "What have you done!?" Celestina demanded and attempted to point her hand at Feng in order to activate a skill, but suddenly, transparent blue chains shot out of thin air and bound her limbs while lifting her slightly in the air.

"Nothing much." Feng casually answered as he picked up the dropped Pandemonium Lashblade, moving it slightly and causing its extended blade to retract, returning to its normal look in an instant.

What Celestina didn't know was that she had made a huge mistake.

From the palace they were currently standing in, to the Pandemonium Lashblade in Feng's hands, as well as herself; everything was formed from her soul, and inside her soul.

This would normally provide Celestina with a huge advantage, as they would be fighting on her home ground, but for Feng... She had practically served herself up on a plate to him.

Although the current Celestina was only a small soul fragment from her original soul, it was still vastly more powerful than Feng's Immortal Soul, and Feng would normally not be able to do any sort of damage to her using his ability. But with him being here, inside of her soul fragment, it made all of his attacks unblockable and did direct damage to Celestina's soul.

At this point, however, even if Celestina realizes what has happened and wanted to throw Feng out of her soul, it was too late, as Feng already had complete control of her soul from the inside, which would have been impossible if Celestina hadn't literally forced him in.

Celestina glared at Feng after hearing his answer, and was about to hurl a few curses his way for lying to her as a mere lowly human, but when she noticed him switch his gaze to her with a smile in his eyes, a sense of fear overwhelmed her for some reason. That's when Celestina finally realized that she was completely defenseless and powerless, while this human in front of her was in complete control of her fate.

"Now... what to do with?" Feng gazed at the bound demon with a warm smile that sent chills down Celestina's spine. Currently, it would be fairly easy for Feng to kill her or simply shatter her soul, but that would permanently kill this fragment of a Primordial Demon God. However, Feng had a better idea, "Didn't you say you wanted to use my soul and turn me into a servant; and that should be an honor?" Feng continued as he recalled her words that filled him with discontent "Well... I shall simply respond in kind."

Saying so, Feng snapped his fingers.

Suddenly, the walls of the palace started collapsing as a transparent blue energy flowed through them, before quickly condensing all of it around Feng and Celestina.

"NO!-" Celestina's cry was suddenly cut short.

---

Inside of the War God's Temple, the black mist dispersed, revealing Feng standing still with his eyes closed and still holding onto the Pandemonium Lashblade's hilt.

A moment later, Feng's calm eyes slowly opened. After making sure there was nothing wrong with his body or soul, Feng switched his gaze to the sword in his hand. The original dark and evil aura surrounding the Pandemonium Lashblade had completely disappeared, meanwhile, the six snakes' eyes had become lifeless once again as they coiled around the hilt.

Checking the Pandemonium Lashblade's information, Feng noticed that there were little to no changes, with the only change being that Demonic Body would no longer weaken his physique when around Sacred aura. Also, the Reaper Profound Inheritance's original empty soul storage had changed to 1/50.

After making sure that there were no other changes, Feng checked his total attributes in his current state, and nodded in satisfaction.

"Not bad. This is a decent start to my preparations for the Promotion Quest." Feng felt relieved after seeing his current strength.

Naturally, he wasn't referring to the Class Change Tier 1 Promotion Quest. Even before he bought all these items, he could have easily steamrolled through it. He was referring to the God Mode Tier 2 Promotion Quest that he was planning to undertake. From what Sharlyn had told him in his previous life, Feng knew that he needed to defeat a new God, which was a natural born God, to complete the Promotion Quest.

If Feng was planning to cross 5 tiers and kill a God while at Tier 1 to pass the Tier 2 God Mode Trial, he needed much more strength than now, but these were decent preparations for making his preparations for his Tier 2 Promotion Quest.

Afterwards, Feng left the War God's Temple and teleported to White River City, before switching to the Aura of Space and using Space Movement to teleport away.

1. In case someone doesn't know what a rhombicosidodecahedron is or can't imagine the item, here's an image I had an AI draw. Although it's not exactly how I had it in my mind, it's close enough

2. Changed the original requirements as they were way too low, most likely because LOC made them early on and didn't have a clear vision of how high attributes were gonna go.

3. Got the idea for this skill from a novel that was on Webnovel, but I can't remember its name, and I'm pretty sure it's been deleted.

4. Not sure if it was ever explained what a Magic Star is, so I just made something up.

5. Changed the original first amount.

6. Idea for the Pandemonium Lashblade's design as well as for Celestina comes from the novel "Summoning the Holy Sword"

7. Idea for line from video "Picking RPG clothes based on maxing stats instead of whether they match or not" by ProZD
