I wake up with a jolt. Sweat coating my body as my mind plays that message to me in my dreams again. Almost every night since I got here it's the same dream. I wipe away the sweat and rise from my bed.
I start getting dressed in my uniform for school as I remember the principles I live by. Don't be the hero. Play the role and try to be funny, at least. Last thing, regardless of whether someone of the other gender seems interested in you, it will leave when they meet Travis they will lose interest in you.
I head to my mirror in my bathroom to tie my tie. I push some of my brown hair away from my eyes. I look into my molten gold eyes. This is the one physically interesting thing about me. My mind hurts me by reminding me about my family before coming here.
Have they mourned me? Have my friends forgotten my face like I have. My new life is as an orphan who never meets his parents. So, there are not many distractions when I'm home alone.

Well, it seems I haven't leveled up yet.
I finsh tying my tie and head out of my room. I live in a small apartment that the school pays for as I keep a C plus average.
I pass by one of the cats that hangs out near here. I stop and pet her lush fur. I wonder how she keeps it so soft. As I keep walking towards the school, I see the sun start to rise.
The red moon will leave the sky soon, and I will feel like crap. Yeah, so I have an affinity for the dark element, so I get stronger near my element, but once I deal with my opposition, I am worse at magic. I have built up a small tolerance to it, but it still isn't the best time.
I then stop outside a nice two story house. This is the home of the protagonist of this story. Yeah, I'm just a side character or the best friend character. One last thing this protagonist is a harem protagonist.
The door swings open to reveal two people. Both have blue hair and red eyes. One is a man who is tall and holds the air of a hero. He looks like a perfect looking protagonist. Next to him is his twin sister. Her long hair almost flows in the wind. These are the twin
scions of the Leoheart family. Travis and Juliette Leoheart.
The Leoheart family is an old one in this country. They are some of the best sword masters in this world. They rank up with the Seig family and the famous Petra family in sword combat.
Travis sees me and waves as they both walk towards me. He says "Hey Ed. Are you excited to start off the new school year?" A big smile is plastered on his face. I give a small chuckle as I try to prepare for this year.
