Steve opened his eyes to find himself under the beautiful night sky filled with bright and colourful stars. He slowly sat up while staring admiring the colourful night above him. Steve had no idea where he was or how he got there but the silence and view of the stars made him forget all about these problems of the flesh, until..
"Sir, Gabiru!!!" he heard from the side.
Before he could turn his heard to find out the source, he was swiftly tackled by an unknown individual.
"What the f.ck are you?!" shouted Steve as he finally saw the appearance of the person who had tackled him. The person was a freaking lizard who was wearing some kind of armored clothings.
"Ohh, so you're finally awake" said another lizard who was standing a few metres away.
"Wait, this scene seems familiar" said Steve with his hand stroking his chin sagely, as he thought deeply about what it was that he seemed to not remember. Only then did he realize that his hand was covered in scales.
Like a good start-up kick, the shock of his scaly hands opened way for a stream of memories to pour into his mind, all the way from being a baby lizard to having his ass kicked by Gobta.
'I am so going to kill the ROB that did this' he thought as he stood up while pushing the lizardman that had tackled him aside.
'Status' Gabiru thought and a screen appeared infront of him.

After he had finished reading his disappointing status page, another screen suddenly appeared infront of him.

The screen disappeared after he had finished reading it and the magicules around Gabiru started hurling iinto him at a fast rate. His magicule capacity was being increased at a fast rate and in the spur of the moment Gabiru had an ingenious idea.
"I name myself Gabiru" he said lowly and he instantly started glowing yellow. All the magicules he currently had were instantly sucked away making Gabiru fall down on his knees but luckily since his body was in the process of doubling its magicule capacity, his empty magicule body was filled with a wave of magicules.
'Shit, I almost died, but it was worth it.' Gabiru thought as he faded into darkness.
After gaining Gabiru's memories he had discovered that monsters could name themselves. But doing so would suck them of all their magicules thus killing the monster but Gabiru thought that since his body was currently absorbing magicules then it could recover some magicules just before he died of magicule deficiency.

"The kid has guts" said a man while he laughed his ass off.
"Luckily I saved him before he died, otherwise he would have wasted my time." continued the man, "I didn't reincarnate him for him to die moments after waking up"

Gabiru opened his eyes, this time to find himself under the shadow of a tree.
"So I survived" he said as he sat up, 'Status'

Due to this title, new tree of evolutions has been unlocked
and all evolutions will be enhanced.

'This explains my new race' pondered Gabiru as he raised his hands up.
His arms were no longer scaly meaning he got the good end of the Dragon Newt race. There were two types of Dragon Newts, the ones who retained the appearace of lizardmen but obtained wings and horns and those who obtained a human appearance and could turn into dragonoid forms.
"Sir Gabiru, is that you?" asked a lizardman who was standing a few metres away from the tree Gabiru was lying on. The rest of Gabiru's party was behind him with their spears drawn.
"Yes, it is me." said Gabiru while he slowly stood up.
"Yesterday, you started glowing and you fainted and you started changing" said the Lizardman.
"Slow down" Another Lizardman said.
"Yesterday after the fight with the small Goblin I was enlightened and so as a reward for my great success in enlightenment, I evolved into a Dragon Newt" bullshitted Gabiru with a very serious face. The other lizardmen stared at him seriously for a few seconds before they started celebrating.
"Yeah, I knew sir Gabiru was amazing!" one of them said outloud.
"Sir Gabiru is the chosen one afterall!" another one shouted.
"Gabiru, Gabiru, Gabiru, Gabiru!!" some shouted in unison in the background leaving Gabiru absolutely shocked.
'I'm glad my bullshit actually worked..... but I think I need new subordnates' thought Gabiru as he was slightly embarrassed by the intelligence of his subordnates. His magic sense suddenly detected a new magical signature in the forest a few metres away from them.
"Who's there?" he asked, making all his subordnates stop their celebrations and look at where Gabiru was glaring at.
"It seems Sir Gelmud was right giving you a name, Gabiru" said a clown who started walking out of the bushes, "The name's Laplaus"
'Shit' thought Gabiru as he had instantly recognized the clown, 'I have to pretend to still be stupid, otherwise I may be dead meat'
"Ohh, so you know sir Gelmud" responded Gabiru.
"Yes, and he sent me with a message for our new Dragon Newt" said Laplaus as he did a stupid pose. Gabiru pretended to think about whether to trust the clown or not.
"So who's sir Gelmud?"whispered another lizardman curiously.
"Oh, didn't you know, he's the one who gave sir Gabiru his name" whispered back another Lizardman.
"So what message does sir Gelmud have for me" asked Gabiru with some fake confidence in his voice.
"He told me to tell you that the Orc army is being led by a scary monster called the Orc lord-" paused Laplaus as he gave the lizardmen time to react.
"A real life Orc Lord?" said a shocked Lizardman.
"Is this for real?" said another and the rest of the lizardmen started whispering to each other.
"Is that the whole message?" asked Gabiru as he stroked his chin.
"Oh no, the orc lord has an army of over 200 000 and now that you have evolved into a Dragon Newt-" paused Laplaus again.
"-Sir Gelmud wanted to me ask you if you think Daddy can handle such a challenge" he continued while doing another pose.
"Hmm... I had planned to use this war to prove my worth and become chieftain after defeating the Orcs but it seems that won't be the case anymore" Gabiru said while still stroking his chin before he gave the command, "Men pack your stuff, we're leaving immediately!"
"Yes, sir Gabiru!" shouted the Lizardmen as they swiftly packed up and gathered their lizard rides before they quickly rode away.
"I'm sure you'll try your best Gabiru" said Laplaus as he watched the Lizardmen ride away before he disappeared.
Once they were at least 10 miles away from where they left Laplaus, did Gabiru finally sigh in relief. He was happy that he was finally away from that monster. Even if he did act like that with Laplaus, Gabiru was not planning on overthrowing the Lizardmen chieftain. He figured that even if he doesn't follow canon, he was still probably going to be named by Rimuru as Rimuru named all the lizardman anyway.
-In the Lizardman Throne Room - 4 days later-
"Father, I have returned" announced Gabiru as he entered the throne room.
"Ah, my son you've returned, tell me all about your trav--Who are you?" questioned the confused Lizardman Chieftain as a handsome human man with long brown hair stood before him.
"It is I, Gabiru. During my travels I evolved into a Dragon Newt" responded Gabiru, who was still pretending to be the old stupid Gabiru. The people in the throne room all started whispering to each other excitedly.
"Well done my son, so have you recruited any goblins?" said the Lizardman Chieftain as the shock finally weared off.
"Yes, I've recruited 7000 in total" replied Gabiru, "So why aren't we preparing for the war against the Orcs, Father"
"Ohh, while you were away we gained some powerful allies. So were are waiting for them before we launch an attack" cheerfully responded the Lizardman chieftain.
"Is that so. Father, on my way back a masked Majin tried to subtly suggest that I overthrow you" said Gabiru as his face suddenly turned serious, "It seems this whole Orc incident isn't as simple as we think"
"What?" responded the Lizardman chieftain in surprise.
"It seems he thought of me as impulsive, thinking that I would try to fight the Orc Lord head on so he wanted me to replace you" explained Gabiru and the Lizardman chieftain caught on.
"Ohh, with an impulsive leader the lizardmen would be defeated and devoured by the Orcs very quickly" said the Chieftain, "It seems this war isn't as simple afterall and well done on not being tempted"
"I know I'm not ready for the throne" said Gabiru as he walked out of the throne room leaving the lizardman inside surprised.
"It seems this trip was very beneficial to your brother" commented the lizardman Chieftain to his daughter, his guard.
"Yes, Gabiru has finally grown up" she said while nodding her head.
