As Ash took in the sight of the hellish creature, he noticed a most disturbing phenomenon.

From the very spot where the head had been severed, the creature's flesh began to bubble and contort, almost like molten lava.

The grotesque transformation seemed to be a form of regeneration, as the creature's neck area began to bubble and replicate itself, slowly but surely, recreating the head that had been lost.

As the creature's head reformed, Thanatos let out a low, mirthless chuckle.
