Chương 5: Chapter 5: Devil meets Goddess
Wrapping up the buisness meeting with Hayden, Braxton and Luke, I decided to go to the hospital with Hayden since my grandma has been nagging me to visit her.
"Do you want to ride together or just follow?" Hayden asks.
"I'll just follow since I have other buisness afterwards and you being the sis con you are, will probably spend a while here." I say with a sigh.
"Hey! let's be honest here, you just can't handle being around that nagging old woman for too long." Hayden responds.
I just roll my eyes not admitting that he is correct as I get into my car driving away toward the hospital.
15 minutes later we pull up to the hospital downtown.
I get out of the car and walk toward Hayden whose standing in place like a baffled buffoon staring at something.
I turn my head in the direction he is looking and see a beautiful petite girl with sun kissed blonde hair, Deep blue eyes the color of the ocean that look like they could just drown you in them, and elegant features that make her look like a goddess sitting in a wheel looking at the sun with a pained smile.
She is absolutely breathtakingly gorgeous.
For the first time in my 22 years, I feel the burning desire to possess a woman. I need her.
Just as I am about to approach her, Hayden tenses.
"What's going on?" I say.
"That girl approaching my sister is the one who said she tripped and fell down the stairs. I don't trust that chick with my sister. Let's hurry up!" he says as he starts walking toward her with me on his heels.
We hear her yell that she doesn't know the young brunette girl who approached her and to let go of her, but the girl doesn't listen.
Sensing something isn't right I speed up just as I see the stupid girl try to pull the girls arm who is in the wheel chair to make it look like she was pushed to the floor.
I said stupid right? because she clearly overestimated her strength and pulled the goddess out of her wheel chair.
Luckily I got there just in time and caught her in my arms.
It was like running into home base catching her.
She was so soft and light and her hair so silky. She has this light scent of lavender on her that just relaxes someone. I couldn't help but think how, even up close, she is flawlessly gorgeous.
Hayden suddenly rushes up to us and begins calling out to the girl in my embrace, "Ren! are you okay? What are you doing out of the room?" he says as he moves to try to grab her from me, but when he tried to touch her, she winced in pain and I immediately smacked his hand and glared at him earning a shocked expression from him.
I looked down at the beauty to see where it hurt, only to see her arm is bleeding from what looks to be nail marks on her skin.
Both me and Hayden after seeing this, turned our heads slightly in anger just to see a girl lying on the floor putting up some stupid pitiful act.
We were momentarily distracted from getting answers to his earlier question on why she was outside as I carefully stood up off the floor, picking her up bridle style and ignoring her wheel chair, not that she complained at all.
Though her cheeks seems to be dyed in a permanent blush.
Just as I was about to start walking I notice Hayden had signaled for our body guards and upon their arrival at the scene shouted at them to throw the girl out on the grounds of plotting to harm the Hunter heiress.
Without thinking, I just kindly added on that they didn't have to be gentle about it.
When I was about to start walking again, it finally dawned on me, Hayden knew this girl and called her not just Ren, but the Hunter heiress.
Fuck. The first girl I feel any intimacy and attraction too and she is my best-friend's one and only baby sister, Serenity Hunter.
I wanted to smack myself for not paying her too much attention in the past because I couldn't even recognize the little goddess who is cuddled up in my arms right now.
Well after a moment of processing, I decided Hayden will just have to get over it, though it will be a pain in the ass to have to deal with that sis-con freak.
On the bright side, it will be a lot easier to make up excuses to see her now, he thinks with a smirk.
If anyone heard his thoughts, they would sure say how shameless he is.
He begins walking toward the hospital door and as he feels her arms wrap around his neck as if afraid she would be dropped, he smiles gently at her, but just as quickly as it appeared, it was gone, so no one noticed.
Noticing he was being left behind, Hayden ran up and said, "I can take my sister now" and reaches out for her.
I just avoided him, kept walking, and said, "No need, just lead the way."
He seemed to stand in place dumbfounded for a moment, before finally moving.
He didn't give up his bickering until they noticed the little goddess seemed to relax in the ice mans embrace, resting her head on his chest and falling asleep, so they both shut up and Hayden led the way to her room.
Until she fell asleep, he didn't realize how light and petite she was, standing together, he would sure tower over her, he thought and it made him smile.
This time his smile was caught by Hayden who rubbed his eyes furiously, before looking again only to find it was gone. 'Shit was that really the devil I know,' he thought.
The smile quickly faded into anger at the memory of Hayden telling them what happened to her at their meeting.
Arriving at her room, Colton gently laid her in bed and tucked her in.
For a minute, he just studied her face and dahm those long eyelashes, and those perfect pink pouty lips that looked so soft as if asking to be kissed.
He forced himself to turn away from the beauty in bed and looked at Hayden who made himself comfortable on a chair in the room.
"I'll be staying here until she wakes up, you can go see your grandma now." he says smiling.
I didn't want to leave, but I can come back later to see her and I will just find out what happened in the mean time.
With that plan in mind, he ignored Hayden and left the room.
