Chương 11: Chapter 11 Can Mr. Piers add me on Facebook?

Rose Taylor, fearing Lincoln Green's suspicion, immediately had someone deliver the bank card and phone the next day. She was furious. "That little bitch is deliberately scheming against me."

An increase of twenty thousand made Rose feel unworthy.

"What's there to fear? When Dad forgets about it in a few days, we'll take it back. She's still at our mercy," Ruby Green thought optimistically. As long as they controlled Abigail Green's living expenses, she would have to obey if she still wanted to go to school.

Rose Taylor nodded but then shook her head. She couldn't shake the feeling that Abigail Green, despite still being chubby, seemed different. Sometimes, the aura she occasionally exuded even made her nervous.

Thinking back to the hospital, the doctor clearly said the person had died, so why did she suddenly wake up? A chill inexplicably ran down her spine.

"Do you think she could be possessed by a ghost?" Rose Taylor asked out of the blue as Ruby Green was selecting her wedding dress on the bed.

"Mom, what nonsense are you talking about?" Ruby Green scolded lightly. She was an atheist and didn't believe in gods or ghosts.

"But she does seem different," Rose Taylor mumbled quietly.

Ruby Green's eyes were full of disdain. "What's different about her? She's still under our feet."

"That's true. She won't cause any waves." Thinking about how Lincoln Green ultimately spared Diana Edith for her sake, Rose Taylor felt confident.

"Just remember that, Mom. How are things with the Piers?" Ruby Green didn't care about Abigail and was more focused on her engagement to Brandon Piers on June 23. Everything else could be ignored.

Rose Taylor's face lit up with a smile. "The day after tomorrow is Elder Piers's birthday celebration, and we've been invited."

"But my leg... It's all because of that fat bitch. She'll pay for this sooner or later," Ruby Green looked down at her recently re-casted leg, filled with hatred for Abigail.

"It's okay. We've already communicated with them. They said you could go in a wheelchair, saying you missed the baby."

"Hmm." Ruby Green reluctantly nodded, hating Abigail even more. If it weren't for her, she would have undoubtedly shone at the Piers's banquet instead of being in a wheelchair.

Thinking of Abigail, Ruby Green quickly asked, "Mom, Dad won't bring that fat bitch, will he?"

"No way. He wouldn't dare to embarrass himself like that," Rose Taylor scoffed.

Ruby Green felt relieved. Abigail's encounter with Brandon Piers the day before had caused her to lose her cool. She was still haunted by how beautiful Abigail used to be, afraid that Brandon might recall something.

While Ruby Green seethed with hatred and wariness, Abigail felt quite good.

With the bank card and phone in hand, she focused on selecting gear for herself.

From hats to socks, including nursing pads and medication and gauze for her abdomen, even skincare products and makeup.

Perhaps due to the forced feeding by the Taylor mother and daughter during her pregnancy, her body retained a lot of milk even without breastfeeding. It was so excessive that she had to empty it every three hours.

She could make do with other postpartum necessities, but nursing pads were a must.

She didn't know if it was due to too many memories from the original Abigail, but she found herself constantly thinking about the unborn baby since she left the hospital. She even heard the baby cry in her dreams last night.

Two days later, packages started arriving at the villa one after another.

Abigail looked at herself in the mirror. Despite being chubby all over, her skin was dazzling white, and her thick hair and gleaming peach blossom eyes stood out.

With a spark of inspiration in her eyes, she began her first task: transforming her style.

An hour later.

Abigail, wearing a hat, came downstairs to find three people ready to leave. "Dad, Aunt Rose, Sister, are you going out?"

Ruby Green turned her head and was stunned for a moment. Abigail, standing on the stairs in rolled-up loose jeans with combat boots, a black V-neck sweater, and a long beige trench coat, looked entirely different. Her fisherman's hat covered her forehead, exposing her large peach blossom eyes, making her appear at least twenty pounds lighter.

Ruby felt a strong sense of crisis, clenching her fists to refrain from questioning her.

Ignoring Ruby, Abigail said sweetly, "Dad, I haven't been back to Gills City for a long time. Can you take me..."

"No, Abby, your sister is attending Elder Piers's birthday celebration today. How could we bring a junior along? Isn't that right, honey?" Rose Taylor, initially surprised, quickly recovered and explained gently while holding Lincoln Green's arm.

Lincoln Green, not as perceptive as the two women, shook his head upon hearing Rose's words. If it had been before, he might have taken Abigail to the Piers's to see if there was a suitable suitor. But now... with all that excess weight, she could only be an embarrassment at the Piers's.

"You stay home." He led Rose out of the hall, and Ruby, being pushed by a servant, cast a mocking glance at Abigail.

Wasted effort!

Abigail shrugged and, after the trio left, opened her phone to read the detective's report on the Piers's. She finally understood why Ruby was desperate to marry into the family.

But how could she let that mother and daughter succeed?

Thirty minutes later, at the entrance of Sincere Hospital.

"Mr. Piers, are you here for a check-up?" Abigail looked at the handsome man standing before her with great surprise.

Brandon Piers glanced at the once unkempt and disheveled girl who now looked energetic and full of life. "Miss Green, are you not feeling well?"

He remembered their first hospital encounter. This was the fourth meeting in less than ten days, and it annoyed him.

The Pierses never believed in coincidences.

"No, I'm here for documents." Abigail turned and pointed at the Civil Affairs Bureau a hundred meters away from Sincere Hospital.

"Documents?" Marriage certificate?

"ID card." Brandon showed no change in expression, but Abigail could sense his sarcasm. She responded earnestly, pretending not to notice.

"Okay." Brandon didn't reply further. He was polite but kept his distance.

Abigail's observation proved correct. He was courteous yet distant. She had a purpose today. "Mr. Piers, could I add you on Facebook?"

"..."

"Don't overthink it. I just want to repay you." Brandon remained silent, prompting Abigail to explain. Compensation was still money.

Brandon's gaze fell on her chubby face, oddly reminded of a baby's face he saw before leaving today. In just eight days, that wrinkled, unattractive thing had transformed into something smooth and attractive. The eyes were shaped similarly to the girl's in front of him.

However, based on the investigation, this chubby girl had gone to Swallow City right after high school and had just returned. Back then, she was slimmer, with thick bangs and large black-framed glasses, quite different from the accomplished surgeon Miss Abigail.

When she mentioned she could treat him, it must have been a ploy learned from Ruby.

Thinking of this, Brandon frowned slightly. "No need."

Pullan, who was about to step forward, stopped in his tracks. The young master, being a gentleman, never refused a reasonable request from a woman, like adding her on Facebook. Especially since she was the future sister-in-law.

Although it was managed by him as a secondary account.

But this was very odd!

Before Pullan could ponder further, Brandon, exuding noble elegance, turned and walked towards the hospital. His ethereal beauty drew the attention of passersby.

Abigail, clutching her phone, stood motionless, stunned by the rejection. She had been rejected?

"Mr. Piers, ah..."

Abigail took small steps to catch up but suddenly twisted and fell, grabbing onto his pant leg.

The surrounding air seemed to freeze. Brandon looked down, meeting her teary peach blossom eyes...

Abigail blinked rapidly. There was no other way. Given her current body shape, seduction wasn't an option. She could only cling to him persistently and find a breakthrough.
