Even though it was pouring outside, Eveline was engrossed in the scenery right away. Like the rain, she felt the stains of her past deeply engraved in her heart, just as her life flowed like water.

The sight was both beautiful and painful because it brought back intense memories of something very personal to her.

Standing by the window frame, Eveline smiled with misty eyes and said, "I remember how much you liked rain, baby." Her hand reflexively touched her flat abdomen, reminiscing about her unborn child.

Eveline would always be in despair, wondering what her life would have been like if she hadn't died. Will she be able to live with her child and divorce Gabriel, or will she continue to play dumb and live with him and his mistress under the same roof?

She was pathetic back then, thinking that knowing about their baby would finally give Gabriel peace of mind and let him accept her for his own sake.
