After she waved him goodbye, she stretched out her arms and said

"Finally alone at last."

She turns and looks at the mirror again and gazes deeply at her glowing left eye.

"Well, it doesn't seem like my vision is affected. I can still see just fine. But my pupil disappeared, so it feels really weird. Since scientifically speaking, it's not possible to see things without your pupil, but I guess that's how magic works in this world."

She folded her arms and let out a sigh,

"Anyways, I wouldn't know how magic works here since I only read snippets of the book. Even knowing the existence of magic is a surprise to me, let alone using it. I always thought I was the rumoured witch because of the scar and not the magic."

After a short thought about her future, she let out an even deeper sigh

"What should I do now? What if this eye never stops glowing? Will I have to live with this glowing eye forever?"
