60.41% Quinn's Lotus / Chapter 87: Mr.Germani

Chương 87: Mr.Germani

I wait for Alexander to lock the doors to his car so we can go inside. Todays the day I go in and talk to this father. From the few encounters I’ve had with him, they haven’t been the best. He looks just like Alexander, but older and angrier looking. When I look at his face, I’ll just imagine I’m looking at a younger, sexy version of Alexander. God, did I just call my boyfriend’s father sexy? I’m sick.

“You ready Quinn?” Alexander asks sticking his keys right in his jacket.

“No, not really I’m strong I can do it.” I say trying to reassure myself.

“Oh, you’ll be fine Quinn. I’ll be right outside the room.”

“That makes me feel better.” I grab his hand in mine and we procced to go inside of Germani industries.

Walking in I see a bunch of men and women in business suits talking to each other. What’s so weird, and maybe creepy, about this company Is that it looks like Christian Grey’s building. I didn’t mean to watch Fifty Shades of Grey, Lyra brought it over and I was so bored I caved in.

We stand by the elevator waiting for it to come down to the second floor. Alexander let’s go of my hand; he rubs his on his blue jeans.

“What’s wrong?” I ask with a worried tone. Does my hand smell?

“Your hand... it’s excessively sweaty.” Looking down at my palm it is seriously wet.

“Sorry.” I whisper softly. The elevator finally opens up and we walk in. Sometimes when I'm extremely nervous I sweat profusely, like now.

Quicker than I can say ‘lets-turn-around' the doors open up. Every step I take my legs are literally dragging along. We reach his father’s office door, it says ‘Alexander Germani Sr. CEO.’

Turning around I try to make a run for it, but Alexander holds me in my place. “I need to go.”

“No you don’t turn your butt around.” He demanded.

“Really, my father may have forgotten his key and may be locked out of the house. It’s rather cold today I wouldn’t want him to die of hypothermia. Do you want to be the man responsible of an old man dying of hypothermia?” He just rolls his eyes and forcibly turns me to his father's door.

“Your grandfather has been around like 40 years before you were born. He’ll be fine Quinn.” He knocks on his door.

“Enter!” His father's voice booms.

“Good luck babe.” The door opens up and he pushes me in. Mr. Germani looks at me with a weird expression, I regain my strength and stand tall. I’m trying not to look so, nervous and weak hopefully he doesn’t smell the fear on me. I heard that wolfs can smell fear, wait is his father even a wolf? I think older people can’t shift at a certain point of age. Isn’t he like 42 or something, wait how old is Alexander again? Wow I can’t believe I don’t know the age of my own boyfriend. Look at me drowning out, Quinn looks alive.

I can literally feel my heart beating out my chest, I mean literally.

“Quinneth? Is that it?” He asks me.

“Yeah...well Quinn, everyone calls me Quinn. You can call me Quinneth if you want, just- I'm going to stop talking now.” I stop myself rambling.

He laughs my rambling, at least I know he isn’t some studious killer. “Come and sit down... Quinneth.” I hastily walk over to the black leather chair and pop at squat.

“Where’s Alexander?”

“He’s waiting in the hallway.” I point outside the door.

“Ok. It’s nice to finally to meet you Quinneth.” He holds his hand out for me to shake. I lean over his desk, our hands connect.

“You too Mr. Germani.” Once my hand let’s go of his, it hits a cup of pens and they fall all over the marble floor. “Jesus I’m so sorry, I don’t know if Alexander told you, I’m sure he didn’t but I’m clumsy.” I start collecting all the ball pens in my hand, putting them back on his desk.

“He did actually, talks about you all the time. Well, to his mother I just listen in.” My eyes lit up; he talks about me to this mother?

“That’s so sweet” I coo.

“He’s also told me, numerous times, that you were loyal and trustworthy.” He observes me.

“Yes, I- I am.” He gets up from his chair and walks over to where I am. Sitting on the edge of his desk, he stares at me intently.

“The welfare of my son will always be my most important priority. Making sure I teach him everything he needs to know and leaving him a safe, thriving pack.”

“The welfare of Alexander is also- very important to me.” I try to say in a serious tone.

“I’m aware you are, after all his mate.” Mate? Like soul-mates.

“Uh Mate?” He looks at me with a surprising look.

“He hasn’t told you that you guys are mates?” I shake my head.

“We haven’t had time to talk about everything yet.” This will be the first thing I mention when we do talk. We were supposed to talk tonight by the waterfall, but instead I’ll wait until tomorrow there are some questions I need to add to the list.

“I’ll leave that up to him to tell you. I mostly wanted to talk to you and ensure you will keep our secret. This doesn’t only jeopardize me and Alexander, but our pack and Kingdom.”

“You guy have a Kingdom? Like castles and jesters.”

“The castles, but not the jester part.” That’s being added onto the list also.

“I won’t tell anyone, scouts honor.” I hold up my fingers.

“That means nothing to me, swear on your life.” I let out a chuckle, but he doesn’t laugh along with me. He serious?

“Your serious? Ok, I swear on my life. I can keep a secret Mr. Germani. For example, in the 3rd grade Jilly Jones had a crush on Austin Jenkins from class B. She didn’t trust anyone else to tell the secret to, but trusted me. To this day I haven’t told anyone the secret, I haven’t even said it outload. Well- unitil now- I had to tell you so you can know how good I can keep a secret.” He gives me the look of ‘please-stop-rambling.’ I need to work on that.

“I’ll stop talking now.”

“I second that. I want everyone to get to know you better, stop by the pack house and meet the rest of our people.” Being in a room full of wolfs that can rip my head off makes me pretty nervous. I heard wolves have really big anger issues. What if I say or do something wrong and they like want to rip my arm off? “From your body language I can tell your nervous to come. They won’t hurt you, especially with Alexander around.”

“Can I ask you a question?”

“Sure, why not.”

“Are you the Alpha of the pack.” A surprised look fills his face.

“I am, how did you know?”

“Power and dominance radiate off of you. Also, I’ve been researching stuff on werewolves. Are you guys really allergic to wolfsbane?”

“That’s a myth, and so is only shifting under the full moon.” Duly noted. “If you don’t have any more questions that will conclude our conversation.”

“I think you’ve answered everything. I’ll see you at the pack house.” He gives me a smile and walks over to his desk.

As my hand rest firmly on the door handle, I turn around. “Mr. Germani?”

“Yes Ms. Worthingshire?”

“This was a nice conversation. I had.... worries of coming here at first.”

“Everyone thinks I’m mean because I’m the Alpha, but as you see that is false.” I give him one last smile and walk into the hall to see Alexander sitting in the car by the receptionist desk.

“How was it?” He asked sticking his hands in his pocket.

“Surprisingly perfect.”

“That's nice to hear.” He wraps his arm around my shoulder, we began walking to the elevator.

“Mhm... he invited to the pack house.”

“Really?” The elevator opens up and we walk in.

“Yep.”

“That’s going be interesting.” What’s that supposed to mean?
