Chương 4099: A Nightmare (19)

Su Yu and Mrs. Su were outside Huo Mian's room. They were going to go in to check on her, but Huo Mian's sad cries made them freeze in their steps.

Su Yu's hand shook furiously on the doorknob.

"Yu…" Mrs. Su felt bad for her son, but Su Yu didn't respond. He was focusing on choking back his tears.

After God knows how long, Huo Mian's cries finally turned into sniffles and Su Yu found the courage to knock on the door before walking in. 

The first things he noticed were Qin Chu's blood-shot eyes, and Huo Mian's tear-stained face. She was wiping her tears off with some tissues.

"Mrs. Su," Qin Chu greeted Mrs. Su politely.

"We heard that Mian woke up, so we wanted to come see her," Mrs. Su said gently.

"I need to speak to Mian's doctor, I'll be back." Qin Chu then left the room, and Su Yu and Mrs. Su made their way to Huo Mian's bedside. 

"Mian…" Su Yu paused, not sure what to say.
