Chương 38: Auvraneian Kingdom
Rai's POV
A letter from Callis suddenly popped up in front of me. I tapped it and it revealed its contents. While everyone was busy, I read the letter.
'My Lord, Marquess Alain, is starting a rebellion right now. The Lustina's are in grave danger.'
"Crown Prince Lucas." I called him and everyone's attention was on me.
"I think you need to read this." I raised my right hand, and the letter flew in his direction. They read the letter and Lucas almost lost his balance. Good thing his secretary swiftly catches him.
"This can't be." His grace said in disbelief.
"We need to go." The Crown prince fixed his tie and was ready to go back to their country.
"But what about the Perhice flower?" Killian said, looking at him.
"The flower doesn't matter; my family needs me right now." The crown prince said.
"I shall inform the king, Your highness." Kelvhan was about to leave.
"No need," I said and stood up and looked on my direction. I opened a portal that is connected to the royal palace.
"Callis already sent a letter to the king and was sent to the duke's mansion." I snapped my fingers and a golden flower appeared. I handed it to Zeth, who's still invisible.
"Keep it safe. I have hundreds of Perhice flowers in my backyard." Perhice is a rare golden flower that blooms once every hundred years. Since that flower is of no use on the island, I better give it to them.
"Thank you, my Lord." His grace showed his gratitude and Zeth put it in his dimensional pocket.
"Let's go." Killian said and they all hopped inside the portal.
"Don't worry, my men are waiting for your command." I said and smiled.
"What do you me-" Before the Crown Prince could finish talking, the portal closed and disappeared. My smile faded, and I faced the merman, leaning against the wall. I just sighed and massaged my temple.
"You guys are a mess." The merman just smiled and walked closer. He kneeled and placed his right hand on his left chest.
"I greet the lord."
"It's been a long time, Zerke." He lifted his face and gave me a big smile.
Zerke's secretary, Berreth Eldan Fenrie, brought a trolley full of sweets.
"You should try this, my lord." Zerke is putting a tremendous number of sweets on my plate. Berreth, who was standing beside Zerke, cleared his throat. It looks like he didn't notice his secretary.
Zerke Varan Yesdithas has been ruler of the seas since ancient times. He doesn't have an heir or a wife. He decided not to get married and just focused on protecting the sea. God gave him a choice to sleep eternally, but he stayed on this continent and protected it for a long time.
"Zerke, that's enough, it's too much." I said, and he stopped putting sweets on my plate. Berreth poured us tea.
"It's been a long time since your last visit here, my lord." Zerke said with his joyful expression.
"I have important things to do." I said.
"It's been years, and you're still using that excuse." He said and drank his tea.
"Then why don't you find a special someone that will keep you company every day?" I drank my tea and ate some sweets. He's looking at me with a big smile on his face, as if he is reminiscing about something.
"What?" I asked.
"I just remember the old days." Zerke.
"About what?"
"When I ask the Lord for a drink, he will decline it quickly, saying he has an important thing to do."
"Isn't he always busy?" I said.
"Yes, but he always makes time to visit his favourite son." He said as he chewed his cookies.
'Knock, knock, knock.'
"Your majesty, the councilors are already in the meeting room." Berreth said as he waits outside.
"Oh, is it time already?" Zerke stood up and bowed.
"I'll be back, my lord." He said and left.

"*Sigh* I'm bored." Living inside this round ball for many years is tedious.
"Hi." A man in his adulthood suddenly appeared.
"It's you again." I frowned when he just gave me a big smile. He sat on the ground and placed the sweets. I came a little closer to him while he was preparing everything.
"Tea?" I just nodded and was about to reach it with my bare hands when suddenly a powerful barrier appeared in front of me.
"Ugh! This is too troublesome." I flicked the barrier. He just chuckled and his hand went past through the barrier.
"Thanks." I sipped tea and ate most of the sweets.
"Aren't you going to eat?" I asked and he just shook his head.
"These are all for you." He gave all the sweets to me.
"So, how's your day?" He asked.
"Fine, as always." I continued to chew my sweets, not minding his stares.
"*Sigh* I know you want to get out of here, but the outside world is a dangerous place." He explained.
"I know. You said it like a thousand times. But is it necessary to lock me inside this sphere?"
"Just wait a little longer." He said, while giving me a reassuring smile.
"How many years do I have to wait? A Hundred? A Thousand? A Million?"
'Knock, knock, knock.'
"*Sigh* We'll talk about this later." He stood up. I was so frustrated that I threw the cup, and it completely went through the barrier. The cup was broken and I could hear the people outside panicking.
"Lord?!"
"My Lord?! What's happening?!" They almost broke the doorway.
"Everyone, I'm fine." He said, but they didn't stop breaking the door.
"Rai." He looked at me with a sad face, but I just ignored him.
"Get out." I said, using my invisibility.
"*sigh* I'll come back tomorrow." He said, but I just ignored him. As he went out, I could hear his people asking him if he was okay.
"I'm fine. Nothing happened inside."
I woke up from my sleep and saw that the entire ocean was getting dark. Callis suddenly appeared.
"My Lord, the Crown Prince, and his friends successfully reclaimed the kingdom. But it will take months to recover all the damages." He said. I stood up and went to the balcony.
"Make sure that the King's anti-faction is completely gone."
"As you wish." He said and disappeared again.
"Things are going to get really troublesome."
The outside world is really dangerous.
