(Luna's POV)
I couldn't believe my eyes. There he was standing in front of me. "H-Hi Jacob" I said in fear and he didn't respond he just kept on staring at me and Athena. After a couple of minutes he finally spoke in a harsh. "Is that your daughter" he asked. I was still angry at him. I didn't want to tell him.
"We have to go. Come on Athena." I said and I tried to leave, but he blocked my way. He then looked down at Athena and I became nervous.
Then he asked Athena "What is your name?" and she answered "Athena Khan". I saw his eyes glaring at me and then he stood. "Luna, Is she mine" he asked through gritted teeth and my face went pale. He knows. I can't lie to him even though I hate him. I wanted to leave, but I couldn't.
Then he looks back down at Athena and asks "tell me Athena, how old are you?". I quickly interrupted and said "We need to go home. It's getting very late". Before I could turn around he then asked me " Luna, how old is she?". Then Athena blurted out "I'm four years old" showing the number on her fingers. I closed my eyes helplessly when she said that.
"Really? Well now tell me Athena, do you know who your father is?" he then quickly asked and Athena shook her head and said "mommy always starts to have water coming from her eyes when I ask". I closed my eyes trying so hard not to cry and then she turns to me and asks " Mommy, who is my daddy ". "Yeah, tell her Luna. I want to know too." Jacob then said with determination.
He looked into my eyes and he definitely knew, but he wanted to hear it from me. I couldn't take it anymore. "Fine. I'll tell you, but not here. We will go to my apartment" I said. He nodded and said "We will take my car". I wanted to decline it, but before I could Athena said "Let's go" and grabbed Jacob's hand and they walked to his car. I sighed in defeat and walked to the car. Jacob put Athena in the back seat and buckled her up. We both got into the car and I texted Alexis that we left. I put my address in the GPS that he gave me.
We arrived at my apartment after fifteen minutes of pure silence in the car. We all entered the apartment and sat down on the couches in the living room. It's been five minutes of pure silence until he spoke. "Luna, tell me right now. Am I the father of that little girl?" he asked while pointing at Athena, who was playing with her toys in the other room.
I took a deep breath and said "Fine. Okay. Fine. She is your daughter. Happy now?". His face looked so angry. " Why didn't you tell me, Luna" he said trying to contain his anger. Was he serious right now. "Are you kidding me right now. You know exactly why I didn't tell". I said in anger. "You seriously hate me that much that you didn't tell me I had a daughter. I MISSED FOUR YEARS OF THAT LITTLE GIRL'S LIFE AND YOU ARE TELLING ME THAT I DID SOMETHING WRONG" he blurted out while he stood up.
I was trying to contain myself from going full rage mode. He just continued to speak. "Does she even know about her father, Luna? Have you even talked about me? I heard what she said when I asked her. You cry when she asks about me. So tell me Luna, do you actually truly hate me?".
I didn't even know how to respond, but for some reason my body didn't cooperate and stood up in front of him and I said "Yes I do hate you, but it's because of the fact I still love you and that's why I cry when she asks me. I have told her all the great things about you. All of those great moments that we shared, I have told her. But the thing I didn't tell her was that her father lied to me about my entire life. I didn't want her to see her father as a liar, but the fact I know you are makes me hate you even more. That little girl is the only thing that's kept me going all this time, but everytime I look at her face I see you. I cry myself to sleep knowing that I can never love you the same way she loves you as a father. That's why I didn't tell either of you guys".
His face looked at me with sadness and when I was trying to walk away he grabbed my arm and pulled me to him. "I am so sorry for everything. The only thing that has kept me going was the fact that you were still out in the world and not in my arms. I know you hate me, but I will never stop trying to make it up to you guys. I still love you with all my heart and not because you are just my mate, but because you are my everything".I was in tears at this point and they didn't want to stop. I pushed him away and ran to my room. I closed and locked it and just cried into a pillow.
After a couple of hours I heard the front door open and close. Then their was a knock on the door. "Mommy, can I come in" Athena asked from the other side of the door. I cleaned myself up a little bit and unlocked the door. I went to my bed and Athena opened the door and came and sat next to me. "Daddy left mom" she said to me. "He told you that he was your daddy?" I asked and she nodded. "Daddy played with me for a little while and then gave this to me before he left" she then said and handed me an envelope.
I opened it to find two first class tickets to Guenivere and a letter. I opened the letter and it said 'I am leaving Selena tonight and I am hoping you guys consider coming back for a little while so I can spend some time with Athena and hopefully you. I really am sorry for all that I have done to you. I missed four years of Athena's life and I really want to be a father to my daughter. Not just stories. So please I want be there for you guys'.
"I want to see daddy again, please mommy. Daddy told me about grandma, grandpa, auntie, uncle and the pack family. I really want to see where Daddy lives too. He says it's big and beautiful and there's a huge forest. He says that he could try to teach how to change into my wolf form mommy. I want to see it, pleasee." she said to me while giving me puppy eyes.
I look at the time of the plane and it's in 3 hours. I look back at Athena and she still looking at me with her puppy eyes. I couldn't say no to that face. "Okay.Fine. We can go, but you have to start packing now" I said to her and her face lit up. She then started jumping on the bed with excitement. "Yay I'm going to see daddy" she said as she was jumping. I giggled a little and said "you are not going anywhere unless you pack your clothes". She stopped jumping on the bed and ran to her room and brought back a little suit case and said "Daddy already helped me pack". Unbelievable he knew I wouldn't say no. Ugh.
