Chương 8: Blood summon

Seeing the coldness in William's eyes, the three of them seemed to have become zombies. It was as if they couldn't make any kind of movement. The man they were mocking a few moments ago turned into a cold-blooded killer who killed a person without even breaking into a sweat, like it was normal for him. The three of them exchanged glances as they heard William's offer.

"Fuck! He killed our friend when he was off-guard. Let's kill him together, we can easily kill him if we worked together." One of the guys took initiative as he gathered some courage against William. He knew that if he did not do something, the pretty boy in front of him will definitely kill them. He instinctively knew that it was a matter of time before William made his move. It was as if he saw the devil himself knocking on his door.

"Slit your throat," William said as he looked at the guy with a serious gaze. The next moment, that guy put the dagger on his throat as he followed William's order, moving his hand to instantly slit his throat. The moment he slit his throat, he came to his senses and realized what he had done. His life started flashing in front of his eyes, and every sin, every single crime that he committed flashed in front of his eyes at once.

"Who's next?" William asked with a calm gaze as he looked at the two remaining men. Upon hearing William's words, both of them came to their senses as they looked at the lifeless body of their friend lying on the ground. Both of them looked at William with horrified gazes. The one standing in front of their sight didn't even bother to kill that guy, he just uttered two words and their partner slit his throat with his own hands.

"Young master Nolan, he is the one who sent us here." One of the men fell on his knees and looked at William with a pleading gaze.

The other guy became even more scared after seeing the wickedness of his partner. He remembered the words William said earlier, that whoever told him about the guy who sent them here might be given a swift death. Now that his partner took the bait and submitted himself to this young man, there was no reason for him to keep him alive.

Fearful of getting killed by William's hand, that guy started running away in an effort to save his life. He ran as fast as he could but when he looked back to see if William was coming after him or not, he found, to his surprise, that William was standing there and didn't even bother to follow him. Seeing that William was not coming after him, he felt relieved.

At the same time, William took a deep sigh and the next moment, bit the tip of his lips, letting a few drops of blood fall on the ground.

The moment William muttered those words, a creature started manifesting from his blood. Sometime later, it took the shape of a mutated wolf. The man who was on his knees was scared to death after seeing the wolf that had multiple glowing red eyes, especially since that wolf seemed to be made of meat and blood.

"Eat him alive," William whispered as he gave that creature a look. The moment those words came out of William's mouth, the wolf started running in the direction of the guy and started chasing him from behind. Seeing this, the man who was on his knees started shaking with fear, and his entire body was drenched with sweat.

"Don't worry, I will honor my promise. Now tell me about that Nolan guy and why he is after Veronica," William asked with a calm voice.

"My lord, that bastard has monopoly over the hotels inside this city and his image is not good with women. He wants to take over this place and seduce the lady working here. This place used to be crowded all the time. Back then, it was very popular amongst the local people, so much that he started incurring losses in business. That's why he decided to destroy this place. No one wanted to go against him because everyone was afraid of him.

"This was because even killing someone is no big deal for him. Eventually, this place became barren, but that lady still didn't want to give up on this place and kept her business open. Our job, therefore, is to scare away people who came to this place. We are just mercenaries doing this dirty job to feed our families." The kneeling man cried and explained everything to William. Hearing his story, William took a deep sigh.

"Humans are very complicated." William whispered and in a blink of an eye, he separated his head from his body.

"Rest in peace, your soul is tainted with blood," William whispered.

When he turned back at the next moment, he saw a familiar figure standing behind him, looking at him with wide-open eyes.

Veronica's face turned pale after seeing those lifeless bodies. Her heart seemed to be beating faster and louder than ever. Words were not coming out of her mouth. She was shaken to her core.

William approached her and smiled.

"Don't worry, I will leave this place after finishing that food. I mean no harm to you and your daughter," He said his piece and left her sight the next moment.

Veronica came to her senses as William's words rang in her head. She turned back to confront William but he had already entered the hotel.

Meanwhile, somewhere else in Solana city, a male figure could be seen running as fast as he could. After running continuously for miles, he finally stopped after confirming that he was not being followed by that murderer who killed his friends.

"Fuck… fuck... fuckkk... fuckkkkkk, what was that mo... mon... monster!? He killed two of my friends in cold blood with no hesitation whatsoever on his face. It is as if… he has killed countless people in his life and killing is not even a big deal for him!

But he is just a young kid, what in the world is this kind of a guy doing inside this city? I need to inform young master Nolan. No, I need to inform Lady Melenia. She is the only one who has the capability to confront that monster." He mumbled while sweat began dripping down his body as he was panting very heavily.

The moment he was about to leave, he heard a voice coming from behind his back. The voice seemed to belong to a familiar wolf. As he turned his head to make sense of it, he pissed in his pants realizing that it was the mutated wolf who was looking at him with a lustful gaze.

"What in the world—" Before he could complete his sentence, the creature attacked him and started ripping him apart and started munching his body. The man's scream echoed in the surroundings but alas, it was too late. The roads were empty and almost every single living being had gone to sleep, there was no one who could help him. The creature started to devour him alive and gradually, munched him entirely, not leaving a single piece of meat.

The moment the mutated wolf finished its job, its body started disappearing and soon, it had completely disappeared, just like it had never existed to begin with.
