In a world where all humans are born with a power they can strengthen and control as they please, what would you do if your power came with a price each time you wanted to use it?
This is really just a short story that I wrote five or six years ago and recently found again. It was the start and inspiration of my entire writing career and fictional universe so I decided to fix it up and release it.
(and yes RoyalRoad, I am ShiranuiShukumei and I am fine with the story being released both here and there.)

This is a great story contained in just one chapter. I did not see any spelling mistakes, I could picture all the characters doing what they did. Also even with such a short time I really got a feel for the background that the main character has.
Holy, I went in thinking I would get a great story with a happy ending. We got an amazing story, but the ending left me trembling in bitterness.
