Back in his familiar room, Xavier settled onto his bed and decided to examine how TM: Recover manifested in the real world. A sequence of information materialized before him:

Xavier felt a surge of excitement as he read the description of TM: Recover. Depleting his mental energy during skill usage had always posed an issue for him. To restore it, he either had to sleep or engage in the meditation techniques from the mental method book, a process that often consumed a significant amount of time.
Now, to some extent, the issue had been resolved.The only drawback was the presence of a 1-day cooldown period.
He promptly chose to learn it, and "Recover" appeared in his skills section in his status.
Next, he made the decision to allocate his 300 points. He first assigned 200 points to constitution, raising it to 43. However, this was still a ways off from reaching 50, which was the only condition he couldn't fulfill in order to learn Teleport. If he had managed to achieve another S grade in this mission, he would have been able to push his constitution to 50.
Regrettably, he could only hope to attain this milestone in his next mission. He then allocated his remaining 100 points to intelligence, raising it to 26, and his mental energy finally crossed the 100 mark, settling at 104.
He now opted to test his newly acquired Recover skill. To do this, he intentionally depleted his mental energy. He employed his Gravity skill to levitate for a period and ceased when his mental energy was precisely half of its maximum capacity.
With this achieved, he then activated the Recover skill. In an instant, his mental energy surged from 52/104 to the full 104/104, and a timer materialized beside the Recover skill.
He closed his status and opted to take a brief rest. After a short nap, he woke up to realize that dinner time had already passed. Hurriedly, he headed towards the cafeteria, hoping to find some leftover food.
However, upon reaching the cafeteria, he discovered that it had already been closed. Despite knocking on the door, there was no response from within.
His stomach growled audibly, a reminder of his hunger, but he realized he would have to endure the night without a meal. Since sleep eluded him at the moment, he decided to take a walk outside. The darkness had completely enveloped the surroundings, and he discovered that he was the sole person outdoors. The silence was profound.
As he strolled, he pondered over where to apply his Inspect ability next, considering he had already used it on all the military personnel in the training ground.
His train of thought was abruptly broken when he collided with someone, causing the person to stumble and fall. Glancing at who it was, he noticed a trembling boy muttering to himself in distress. The boy's words were disjointed, a mix of phrases like "I'm going to die!" and "I need to escape!"
Xavier's concern was piqued upon hearing the boy's agitated mutterings. Without delay, he crouched down and gently shook the boy, urgently inquiring, "Hey, what did you just say?"
The boy's gaze met Xavier's, and he uttered, "We're in grave danger! We're all facing death!" His voice trembled with fear. "It's a trap!"
"Trap? What kind of trap?" Xavier pressed for details. However, before the boy could respond, a shocking event unfolded. The boy's head suddenly exploded, spattering Xavier with blood and leaving him bewildered.
Before Xavier could gather his thoughts about what had happened, he heard footsteps approaching him. Soon, a voice spoke out, "Oh! Another rat! We believed all of you were asleep. Was the sleep-inducing drug not potent enough in the food?"
