Chương 21: Catch first pokemon
As Xavier headed towards Route 22 to battle Blue, he realized that he only had 200 pokecoins left and no potions in his hand. The only way he could earn more money now was by defeating Blue in a battle.
Upon reaching Route 22, Xavier noticed a grassy area teeming with various Pokémon such as Nidoran, Spearow, Mankey, and Rattata. However, he made a conscious decision not to battle them and instead focused on getting to the location where Blue was.
By avoiding the wild Pokémon, Xavier kept his goal in mind and proceeded towards the designated spot where he was to face Blue.
As Xavier moved further , he noticed a small figure beside a tree, engrossed in eating something. However, from a distance, he couldn't see clearly who or what it was. Curious to find out, he decided to use his talent "Inspect" on the figure to get more information about it.

Xavier was shocked to discover that this particular Nidoran possessed a hidden ability called Hustle. Moreover, he recalled that when it evolved into Nidoking, the hidden ability would transform into Sheer Force, further enhancing its offensive capabilities. He couldn't believe his luck and felt grateful for this rare find.
Quietly approaching the unaware Nidoran, Xavier had Mankey by his side. The Nidoran was too preoccupied with eating an Oran Berry to notice their presence. Seizing the opportunity, Xavier gave the command, "Mankey, use Tackle, then Night Slash!" Following Xavier's instructions, Mankey swiftly executed the moves, taking Nidoran by surprise, causing Nidoran unable to respond and losing the fight.
Xavier swiftly took out an empty pokeball and threw it towards the fainted Nidoran, successfully capturing it. With this accomplishment, he had completed 2/3rd of his mission.
Afterwards, he moved forward and finally caught sight of Blue. Before approaching him, Xavier used the inspect ability and discovered that Blue had a level 9 Pidgey and a level 8 Charmander.
Xavier hesitated to challenge Blue that day, realizing there was a high chance of losing. Instead, he decided to prioritize healing Nidoran and then taking both of his Pokémon for training.
After healing Nidoran, he found himself left with only 100 pokecoins. To gather more money, he sold all his Parlyz Heals back to the mart for half their price, earning 200 pokecoins and bringing his balance up to 300 pokecoins.
He then engaged in battles at Route 22 with both his Pokémon, focusing mainly on training Nidoran and also hoping to trigger the appearance of another BOSS Pokémon event.
