The following day, Alex mustered his determination and equipped himself with 5 Antidotes before heading back to the forest. This time, he was determined to level up Geodude first and then focus on catching Weedle.
For the next three days, Alex diligently trained Geodude, successfully raising its level to 7. However, despite his efforts, he failed to spot a single Weedle.
On the fifth day, as Alex engaged in a battle with a Metapod, his hopes were dashed yet again when both Kakuna and Caterpie intervened, interrupting Geodude's momentum. Fueled by overconfidence, Alex decided to take on all three Pokemon at once, despite Geodude's injuries from the sudden interference. This proved to be a critical mistake, as he was soundly defeated and swiftly transported back to the Pokemon Center. The penalty cost him 1000 pokecoins, leaving him with a mere 50 pokecoins, barely enough to rent a room for a night.
Undeterred by the setback, Alex knew he couldn't afford any more mistakes. With a limited budget and only a few days left, he needed a new strategy to complete his mission successfully. The challenges of the Viridian Forest were proving to be tougher than he had ever imagined, and he had to find a way to navigate through them and achieve his objectives.
He was in distress, uncertain of how to proceed, as he had not completed a single task and only had 5 days left. He desperately wanted to avoid receiving an F grade on his first mission.
After careful consideration, he decided that catching a Weedle was the best option available to him at the moment.
On the same day, Alex ventured out to find a Weedle. This time, he stayed near the forest's edge, searching for any signs of the elusive Pokemon. After a long search, he finally spotted a Weedle.
Rather than immediately attempting to catch it, Alex waited, cautiously scanning the area to ensure no other Pokemon were nearby. Once he confirmed it was safe, he proceeded to catch the Weedle successfully, breathing a sigh of relief at accomplishing at least one task.
Feeling relieved that he had managed to complete at least one task, Alex decided to take a calculated risk and attempt to get Geodude to level 10. He also wanted to test what would happen if his Geodude fainted this time, considering the previous penalty.
With determination, Alex ventured back into the forest to engage in battles with wild Pokémon. After numerous encounters and challenging battles, Geodude succeeded in leveling up to level 8. However, it became evident that Geodude was not in the best condition to continue battling.
Driven by his curiosity and eagerness to complete the task, Alex decided to continue challenging wild Pokémon, disregarding Geodude's condition. Unfortunately, Geodude eventually lost a fight and fainted.
Soon after, a voice informed him that Geodude had fainted, and due to his insufficient balance to pay the penalty, he would be taken out of the tower and have to pay the penalty next time.
He was then shown his mission status, and as expected, he received an E grade and was rewarded with 300 pokecoins and 50 points.
After the voice ended, he felt a sharp pain, and when he opened his eyes, he found himself back in his room.
Immediately, he checked his status and discovered that his wallet balance was -650 pokecoins [resulting from the calculation: -1000 penalty + 50 balance + 300 reward = -650 pokecoins].
