Chương 6: The Captain is here!
Steve opened his eyes and found himself alone in a white room. It looked like a hospital room but he knew better. There was no smell of the artificial fragrance contained in soaps and cleaners. No smell of blood and this room was way too clean. Too white. And the bed was too soft. He tried to move his hands and legs and found that they were not bound or chained and he decided to get up.
"Hello. Is anyone there?" shouted Steve loudly.
"Hello, Mr. Steve Rogers. My name is Martha and I was told to help you in any way I can when you wake up," came a reply suddenly in his room.
"Where is this place, Martha? Who is in control here?" questioned Steve. He felt something was wrong with this place. Clearly, there was a woman here but instead of showing her face, she was talking to him via some speaker.
"This is the medical room M-1 in the Alkali Lake Industrial Complex. We are currently 2000 Ft. below surface level and Master Phil is in charge of this base here," explained Martha properly.
"What Industrial Complex? Please explain more Marta because I am sure there is no such base with the US military or Allies and I still remember our secret hideouts and bases properly," asked Cap, thinking he was either locked in some Nazi prison or caught by some crazy HYDRA scientist.
"No Sir, this base is under the control of Master Ryan Phillips who is currently CEO of Phillips group based in the US. This base is independent of any military or government control. Also, as per my instructions, I should play a piece of calming music before telling you more details that might shock you or agitate you. So, Captain what is your favourite music?" replied Martha in a soft tone. Clearly, she was using her knowledge to calm down Captain.
After a long silence, Cap replied - "That would be - 'It's Been A Long, Long Time' by Jule Styne and Sammy Cahn. I always wanted to dance on that. Tell me what day is today? How late I am for my date?"
"Today would be 25 August 1991, 01:00 am. As per my records, I am going to play videos of all important things in a montage and bring you up to speed till morning. Master Phil hates it when I wake him up in the morning before 8 in the morning. And he threatened to remove some of my most important servers if I do it. Considering I am still not comfortable with the last few backup servers being offline most of the time, I don't want to lose more of my computing power," answered Martha in a very helpless tone. Her master the one who created her is too lazy to take care of the guests he brought. Oh heavens! She is a still young girl. A newborn in the digital world and she has to work so much.
"Ahem, Martha. you are not a human. Are you?" Cap suddenly asked as he finally found what was wrong with Martha. Cap had spent some days with Stark during WWII and he understood three words - computing, server and records.
"Oh yes. Quite a late observation Mr. Steve Rogers. I am the world's second-best Artificial Life and world's first most advanced Artificial Life fighting against crime, injustice and internet spam. Master Phil even called me his most perfect creation in this life," came the reply from Martha in a very proud tone.
Steve Rogers felt one shock after another. If and only If all this information is correct, then he just woke up after 46 years he fell into Ice and now the world has Artificial Life? Before he could think of anything further, Martha had started playing his favourite music in the background while a movie was on the big screen in front of him. He patiently sat on his bed and started watching and absorbing all the knowledge being thrown at him. The super serum not only gave him an enhanced physique but also made his brain far better than others.
At around 7:30 in the morning, suddenly there was some noise and an elevator opened up. Ryan along with Hope came to meet Captain running. Clearly, this was not how he planned captain to wake up and face the world.
"Hello, Captain. My name is Ryan Phillips and this is Ms. Hope Pym. I am sure you must have many questions. Feel free to ask anything, please. It is just great to finally see you awake and ready," Ryan said while checking Captain like a patient. He was looking at his medical records while Hope had her eyes glued to the six-pack abs of the captain.
"Hello, captain. My name is Hope Pym. I am the operations head here. I cannot tell you that seeing you like this, alive and in front of me, is just amazing," finally hope said finding her voice.
"I know. I mean I know about you and everything. I have been learning history for the last 50 years from Martha here. She is a wonderful teacher and patient enough to explain everything in detail," answered Cap. He got up and started went towards the dressing room as he also noticed the hungry eyes Hope had on himself. Clearly, Cap was a little uncomfortable with that look.
"Thank you, master Steve. I can say you are also very good at listening and unlike someone who shall not be named, you have good patience and nice pair of abs. If I am being honest with you, considering your figure that matches with the description of Gym junkies, you are quite sharp and much more of a gentleman than someone else here who shall not be named," suddenly Martha also jumped in when she noticed Hope's eyes and Cap's reaction. She was trying to give good comments to Steve but it made steve dress more hurriedly.
"Oh stop showing me tantrums, Martha. You are not a child and you should have followed the protocol set for the situation in case steve woke up and informed me first thing," suddenly Phil shouted in Air clearly showing his anger at Martha.
"Apologies master. I am a stupid, inefficient AI who felt that your last command of 'no matter what happens even if there is an earthquake, don't wake me up before 8 or I will destroy your servers' was the top priority. Again how can I, a silly and inefficient AI understands what you really meant my creator?"
"Phil, why do I feel you didn't have a good conversation with Martha in the morning? What did you say to her? Leave it. We will talk about this later," questioned Hope suddenly feeling sad looking at the captain who was fully dressed now.
"Mr. Ryan, I want to go outside. I want to know if everything I just heard or saw is truly real or not. I need to see it with my own eyes," cap said while his boots.
"Sure Steve. Just call me Phil, please. Let's go and have breakfast first," Phil said while moving towards the elevator. Clearly, too many things happened in the morning and now Phil wanted to talk to Captain in a more open way.
So, after breakfast, some shopping and a brief conversation, Captain roger went into the car and left for some sightseeing.
"Why did you let him go alone? What if someone recognises him? You know the cold war is still going on and there may be a few people who might recognise him from the face," questioned Hope looking at the car taking Cap away from the base.
"No one will believe that the man in the leather jacket is Steve Rogers, the Captain America. Besides, Martha along with the Falcon team is monitoring all his movements and making sure no camera anywhere captures his face properly. You must understand that when he went under the ice, the world was at war. He promised someone somethings and now, when he opened his eyes, the world he knew is gone forever. It will take some time. We know he is the perfect soldier that we need, but he is also human. A man lost in time.
Let his comeback be on his own terms. Till then we need to sort out many other details. Have we found anyone for the project 'ICARUS'?" asked Phil while he and Hope were heading down to the base in the elevator.

ayrus2011 Well, the first arc has started now. It is basically going to be the first few years where Ryan will organise his team into many operations and missions and the first mission is saving Howard and Maria stark and rescuing Bucky Barnes from HYDRA. Oh boy! Also, what is ICARUS?
