Kissa stepped down the stairs and when she reached the landing, the whole room lit up.
There was a large fountain in the middle of the room and inscriptions on the wall. Kissa touched the walls and she walked further into the room.
Soon she got to a painting and she cleared the dust on the painting before a painting of her came to sight. "What? How am I here?"
"Lady Kissa." Lapis thundered as she rushed down the stairs. "Sabola, get her out of here now."
"Lady Kissa, we have to go now." Sabola said in an uneasy voice.
"No, I have to find the reason why I am here." Kissa looked around the room but Lapis was already in.
"Pharaoh has ordered you to come outside right now." Lapis said and Kissa groaned as Lapis pulled her out of the room.
Immediately they got out, the wall closed and Zahra took over pulling Kissa out of the temple. Zahra harshly threw Kissa to Asim's feet.
"To the Palace right now Kissa." Asim thundered angrily and Kissa looked up at him before wiping off the dust off her clothes.
"Yes Pharaoh." Kissa nodded before Asim entered his carriage and he was carried away.
Cairo walked over to her along with Sabola and helped her into her carriage before she was taken towards the Palace.
Cairo walked along with the other guards when he caught sight of the mermaid he saw at the Nile River the other day, Layla.
They both made eye contact and she seemed to get the message he was passing across and she smiled before covering her head well with her veil.
"Excuse me." Cairo walked towards her and grabbed her shoulders before pushing her to a corner. "What are you doing out here Layla?"
"Well, I was called over by your gathering to help you with Asim." Layla smirked.
"And how are you supposed to do so without access into the Palace?" Cairo raised a brow questioningly.
"Oh you doubt my skills Cairo. I just got my chance because I used my siren song to charm the Pharaoh." Layla smirked before walking away.
Cairo quickly rushed toward the other guards and returned to the Palace with them.
Kissa stepped out of the carriage and walked up the stairs after Lapis and Asim.
"What do you think you were doing, Kissa? What was the warning I gave to you?" Asim asked as he sat on his throne.
"I shouldn't step out of the line of sight." Kissa replied with her head bowed.
"And you did. This would be your last warning Kissa. I had to leave the Palace to warn you and I don't want something like that happening again. Ever." Asim frowned.
"Yes Pharaoh." Kissa replied with her head bowed.
"Now return to your quarters, Lapis would pass any message across to you later." Asim ordered and Kissa stood up then walked out of the throne room.
"Is it ready?" Asim asked Lapis who replied affirmatively.
Kissa walked back into her quarters and met only Cairo ar the door. "Why are you here alone?" She asked.
"I don't know where the other guy went." Cairo replied and Kissa nodded before stepping into her room. "And Sabola left for her day off already."
Kissa nodded before the doors closed shut. Kissa stepped into the bathroom and took a warm bath.
While dressing, she noticed her hair was a bit longer that it usually is whenever she had it curled. She noticed a change in herself after she woke up from her vision the other time.
She could say it was the longest vision she ever had since she remembered.
Kissa walked back to her room and sat on her bed before removing a small piece of clothing she had gotten from the room in the temple.
Kissa spread the clothing out on her bed and read the words on it. "Asim is a traitor."
Kissa looked confused as she reread the words. Asim is a traitor? How does that even make any sense?
Kissa held the cloth tightly and suddenly she was pulled into her vision.
She was in the same room in the temple and she looked at the table where she picked the clothing and saw a lady with black hair like hers writing on that same piece of clothing.
"Who are you?"
