Chương 3: A Small 'Meeting' and the Dojo

Right now I was standing on the roof, looking out at the school entrance as people left. Why was I up here? Because I was waiting for someone.

While I was waiting I took off my blazer and my tie, while I undid a few of my top buttons on my shirt before I rolled up my sleeves. Why was I doing this? Because the person I was waiting for would probably try to fight me and I didn't want to wreck my uniform.

Oh, and here they are.

"Hey, Kirishima-san--" quickly dodging to the left, many red shards pieced the floor where I just was, "Kirishima-san, you don't need to do this--" again, I was interrupted by a blurred figure charging at me.

When they were within range, they threw a sharp but strong kick toward my head, aiming for the kill.

Raising my eyebrow, I wasn't surprised by the speed or strength of the kick but by how slow it seemed in my eyes.

I was also surprised by how my body seemed to know exactly what to do.

Grabbing the foot heading toward my head, I saw blue eyes widen in surprise and a slight amount of fear. Before she could react, I used her momentum against her and spun around with the foot in my hand before letting it go and flinging her across to the other side of the roof.

Looking down at my hands, I was both joyful and shocked at my combat instincts. I know I had the genetics of every strong fighter from Kengan Ashura but...I didn't think it'd affect me this much.

Well, it's not harming me, so it's a positive~!

Deciding I'd need to subdue her before being able to talk to her, I charged at her, positioning my feet in what felt like the right way to maximize speed.

I shot off at her and without stopping I slammed a fist into her face knowing that as a Ghoul she could withstand it and heal any damage.

Running past her I jumped and placed my feet on the guard rail behind her before rocketing myself back at her, but in the process horrifically warping the metal of the rail.

Coming up behind her as she was stunned, I tackled her to the ground before locking one of her arms behind her back with my free hand pushing her head into the ground.

By this point, she was out of her stunned stupor and she was straining to push me off of her. Her kagune was released and she was flaring it as much as she could to strengthen her power.

But despite all this, I kept her firmly planted against the floor. My high weight from my abnormal muscle density essentially making me a very good grappler.

"Kirishima-san, calm down. I know you must be worried, but I only said what I said to get you to shut up," her struggling stopped for a second before she looked back at me with her black sclera and red irises', glaring into my blue eyes.

"You're lying! That's all you humans do! If my identity is leaked by you, I'll lose everything! My friends! My normal life! All because humans can't keep their mouths shut!" she continued her earlier struggling with even more determination than before. I felt a bit guilty because of the emotional pain I caused in her but I kept my suppression on her, stopping her from trying to hurt me.

Like I thought before, Ghouls, while still much stronger than normal humans, can't hold a light to any of the fighters from Kengan Ashura.

I have the genes of such people like Kono Haruo, Julius Reinhold, and Sekibayashi Jun, all massive giant-like people with incredible physical strength and weight. It's simple; My strength potential is much higher than a Ghouls.

Well, unless they're like the OWL and have a massive Kakuja. Maybe their strength would be enough at that point?

Anyway, I kept Touka, or Kirishima-san, down on the ground despite her best efforts at trying to break free of my hold.

Her intense struggle slowly came to an end as even her kagune disappeared. Her Kakugan went away and her eyes went back to their more human-like blue.

But what was more troubling was the fact her eyes had gone dull, devoid of life.

Slowly backing off of her, I sat down next to her.

"You should know that your secrets safe with me," I looked down to her before sighing, "I'm a man of my word, plus I wouldn't want to lose such a pretty girl as a neighbor...It'd be a tragedy,"

Her dull eyes focused a little before looking at me with disbelief. She slowly sat up before looking at me, "You...you're really a creep, you know that right?" despite what she said, she had a small smile on her face but it soon turned into a frown, "No matter what you say, I'll still be on edge. That's the life of a Ghoul, after all,"

Hearing her, I let out another sigh before standing up and extending a hand for her to stand up, "I know that. Ghouls have got to protect themselves, just like us Humans have got to. It's a rule of nature, the survival of the fittest...but it doesn't mean I have to throw you under the bus. You're harmless to me."

She looked between me and my hand before timidly lifting her hand and grabbing mine. Smiling, I quickly tugged her upwards and onto her feet.

Seeing this seemed to remind her of something because she looked up at me curiously, "...Are you sure you're a human? I've never met a human who could overpower a Ghoul,"

Despite her still being on edge, she still looked at me curiously. I guess no matter if you're a Ghoul or a Human, you want to know about the unknown and why things happen.

Shrugging at her comment, I simply smiled at her before answering, "Yep, I'm 100% Human. I'm something of a science experiment if I had to call myself anything...Anyway, I have a place to be, so if you'll excuse me," standing up, I picked up my blazer and tie before putting them back on and putting my uniform back into a more formal look.

Giving Touka a small wave, I walked toward the door of the roof, through the door, down the stairs to the bottom floor before walking to the entrance of the school.

When I got there, I felt my eye twitch a little before I turned around and looked at the person following me.

"Why are you following me, Kirishima-san?" asking this with a slightly desperate tone, I looked down at the nonchalant girl behind me with her hands in her pockets.

Upon hearing my question, she shrugged, "I've got to make sure you don't go spreading my secret around and seeing as I can't silence you, I have to follow you around," she kicked the ground with her foot lightly before looking back up at me, "So, let's get to wherever you need to go and then we can head back to our apartment complex."

Hearing her reasoning, I had to admit she was kind of right but...I was about to go to a Dojo full of eccentric Masters. Two of which who are Doctors who I'm sure will figure out Touka's a Ghoul.

Now, I'm not sure on what their views on Ghouls are right now, so taking Touka would be...reckless.

With this in mind, I seriously looked at Touka, "I'm about to go to a place where you might be found out as a 'you know what', so I think it's best that you just go Home and stick to stalking me from tomorrow onward."

Hearing what I said, Touka went a bit red before scowling at me, "I'm not stalking you, I'm just protecting my interests," she lost the flustered look as she looked at me suspiciously, "And anyway, how am I supposed to know you aren't going somewhere to rat me out? Even if you are right, I'm still going to have to risk it just in case you do rat me out and I have to run away; I'll need to grab my stuff before I run," she looked a bit ticked off at this point, so I raised my hands in surrender.

Tsunderes are someones' cup of tea but God knows they're not mine...

"Okay, whatever, it's your funeral if this goes wrong..." walking with her, I stood outside the entrance while we waited for Miu.

Touka asked why we were waiting and after I told her we were going to Miu's Dojo, she just nodded before going silent before taking out some earphones and putting them in and listening to some music.

Before long I heard a voice behind us.

"Heeeeey~! Kurosawa-kunnnn~!" a blonde-haired blur ran up to us before stopping just before us with a slight skid. Touka seemed utterly baffled by the speed she was seeing, while I had already accepted Miu as the one true savior who could do anything...Yeah, no, she just wasn't running that fast for my eyes.

Waving at her with a small smile on my face, Touka also waved and confused Miu with her presence.

When Miu got in front of us, she looked at Touka before looking at me with a tilted head, "What's Kirishima-san doing her as well? Is she coming to check out the Dojo as well?!" her voice slowly became more excited at the end of her sentence and she grabbed Touka's hands with hers, "Are you coming to train martial arts as well?!" her eyes were practically lit up as she thought about having friends her age who practice martial arts like her.

Touka, feeling incredibly awkward at the close contact and proximity with Miu, backed up a little before shaking her head rather bluntly.

Seeing her struggle with such an outgoing person, I smirked at Touka's actions and decided to step in to help her.

"She and I live near one another and we seem to get along well, so we decided to walk home with one another," beaming a smile at Miu, she threw one right back with a slightly sly face.

"Oh, I see, so you're potential 'friends'~" she had a sly grin which spoke volumes about her misunderstanding but I couldn't be bothered to correct her and simply smiled at what she said.

Though, Touka didn't seem to get that Miu misunderstood what we were to one another and simply smiled thankfully at me.

I bet she won't be smiling thankfully at me for long...

"Anyway, shouldn't we get going?" trying to move on the conversation from these areas, I hopefully looked at Miu.

Miu, as if remembering why we were gathered here, suddenly lost her sly face before becoming a bundle of joy and nodding at my question. She turned around and motioned for us to follow, so we did.

The walk wasn't too long and before long we arrived at a massive gate that was even taller than me and looked incredibly old but despite its age, it still looked in very good condition.

Miu walked up to the big doors before opening them with a deceptive amount of strength for her slender build.

"Welcome to Ryōzanpaku!" with this she took us toward what I remembered as the main hall/building where she entered before shouting for everyone to come to the main hall.

Before long a few people came to the front room, and boy were they a weird bunch.

A tall, tanned man with silver hair who had the innocence of a child in his eyes. A scholarly-looking man in a dougi and his eyes were completely white, only upon a closer look could I see that his irises were just very pale white and so were his pupils. Apart from these two was a short man wearing traditional Chinese clothing, a tall man wearing a leather jacket and jeans while showing his bare upper body.

But the one that instantly caught my eye was the fairly tall and curvaceous beauty wearing a pink kimono which was much too small for her bodacious figure. Other than that she was wearing purple stockings and she didn't seem to have a bra on, instead choosing to wrap bandages around her bountiful bust.

Her face was incredibly beautiful with a sort of pure innocence that made you want to protect her. She had long raven black hair tied in a high ponytail with bangs hanging over her forehead, and below that, I could see that she had shiny light purple eyes.

Though I knew who she was and I didn't have the power to protect such a strong person. She was Shigure Kosaka, a Grand Master martial artist.

The earlier people I described were Apachai Hopachai, Akisame Koetsuji, Kensei Ma, and finally Shio Sakaki, respectively.

Before any of us could speak, a booming voice came from behind the group of people in front of me.

"Oh? Who has my lovely granddaughter brought back to our Dojo?" the voice was deep and booming. Hearing it felt like my head was rattling and my bones were shaking; it was a tad uncomfortable.

But soon after hearing the voice, the person who spoke came into view even over the silver-haired Apachai who was easily over 2m tall.

The person who came into view had blond hair and blue eyes just like Miu, but beyond that, there were no more similarities. This man was tall, and I mean TALL, he must have been at least 225cm or even 230cm tall and he wasn't stick thin either, his physique was broad and packed full of muscle, giving off a powerful feeling.

He had a big beard along with a mustache to fit with it. Overall the man in front of me looked like a real macho man.

Not perturbed by the man in front of her, Miu smiled before skipping up to him.

"Grandfather, these two are my classmates and one of them wants to learn Martial Arts here!"

"Hm?" when he heard that, Miu's grandfather, Hayato Furinji, stared down at me with serious eyes before speaking, "And why would you need any training? It looks like you've trained martial arts for most of your life. If you haven't made anything of yourself by now, you don't have any talent."

With that, he let out a small disappointed sigh before turning to leave. But before he could leave, Miu grabbed the back of his clothes.

"Grandfather, he's never practiced martial arts before! He told me that this is just how he is and how his body has grown," she stopped before taking in big breaths which was kinda cute for some reason - seeing a breathless girl that is. Once she regained her breath, she continued, "If he's telling the truth then he's attained the reaction-speed of a High-Class Disciple without any training! His potential for Martial Arts is amazingly high! We should let him join!"

But despite what she said, the Elder turned around and shook his head, "Then it would appear he lied to you. The way he walks, the strength I feel - there's no way someone is just born with that level of skill and power," he turned to me before continuing, "I don't know why you lied to my granddaughter but I suggest you leave," with this, he turned back around and went to walk off again.

But what he said kind of ticked me off.

I know it's understandable but it's still very annoying that everyone I come across is wrong about who I am. I'm a person made up of all the Genes of the best fighters from a Martial Arts Anime, but that shouldn't make me a Martial Artist right off the bat, right?! I still need training--

Training. That's it.

"Umm, excuse me, old man," I 'politely' said this and saw as the Elder stopped before turning his head slightly, "I can prove that I'm not a Martial Artist pretty easily."

What I said seemed to get his full attention because he turned back around with a suspicious grin, "Oh really? And how do you propose that we do that?"

"I'll fight either you or one of the five super strong people behind you. Within minutes...no, within seconds of fighting me you'll know I'm an amateur who relies on brute strength and his instincts," I shrugged my shoulders slightly, "And that's why I'm here. Brute strength isn't good enough for some opponents, I need technique. Only then can I become a strong fighter."

My words seemed to get through to the fighters behind the Elder, especially Sakaki who looked a tiny bit too pumped for a fight.

But before he could say anything, the Elder spoke up, "Is that so? Hmm okay then..." he turned around to look at the 5 masters behind him. He looked over them before pointing at one of them, "Sakaki, you should be able to test him. Push him to his limit and you," he turned to me, "I'll have you sign a document before the fight so you can't sue us for your injuries, okay?"

Nodding at his words, I simply smiled, "Where are we gonna be fighting then?" upon hearing my subtle excitement, Miu and Touka looked at me curiously while Sakaki nodded and motioned for me to follow him to the Dojo.

I guess it's because of my genes coming from some battle maniacs and even some possible psychos but...I'm incredibly excited for this fight! I want to test my limits and push past them!

With such blood boiling thoughts racing around my head, I followed after the leather jacket wearing man I was about to fight.
