Chương 5: School Visit

MG made the guided tour to Aionia, The Salvator school was huge, with a large mansion, a dozen classrooms, and more than a hundred bedrooms, a sports field, a swimming pool, all surrounded by woods and a lake a little further. Many students were talking to each other in the corridors, happy to meet again for the majority, MG was greeted many times, the students are all happy and doesn't look disturb by the fact they are are not humans, this place exude a feel of security, these kids and teens has a semblance of normalcy in their life who is not normal.

" So how are you finding the school? " MG asked with a big smile, already knowing the answer.

" It's an incredible place, it's bigger inside than outside. " asked Aionia

" Yeah..., there must be some magic. " replied MG, surprised that he never realized it.

" You are a vampire, aren't you Milton? " Aiónia asked as he looked around, the walls, the decorations, and the students.

" Yeah but call me MG. " replied the vampire.

" Is there a particular reason for the nickname? " asked Aionia.

MG didn't know if it was because of the boy's calmness, or his sincere voice, but he revealed to the boy the painful reason that pushed him to change his name.

" The relationship with my parents is quite complicated since I'm a vampire. I think They considers me anymore like their sons. " MG had his eyes directed towards the ground, his gaze distant, his face sad in the evocation of this painful experience.

" Yes I see, your parent sees you more as something he fears you are, rather than what you are." Aiónia replied calmly, still looking around, as if the discussion wasn't important.

" Yeah that's exactly it, did you go through something similar with your family? " MG asked relieved and surprised that someone understood him so easily.

" But you can convince yourself all you want, the truth is you were Milton Greeley before you were MG. " Aiónia continued without answering the question, MG was a bit confused about what he mean.

" The question you have to ask yourself is whether Milton Greasley is different from MG? Until you find the answer, you're not complete, either denying the human or denying the vampire..." said Aiónia still busy looking around while talking calmly with the vampire, MG stopped his walk, troubled by his words, thinking about everything he said before realizing he was right, he was stuck between two worlds, between two names.

" I found Dorian, I leave you on this discussion, may you find out your answer. " He said walking away with his hands in his pockets, leaving behind him a boy lost in his thoughts, meditating on who he is.

Hope was in the car with Dr. Saltzman, she was holding a map of the city with a moving light spot, she was thinking about the strange boy, he look weird, when she first see him, he look like invisible, like it's easy to ignore him, he seemed to be part of nature, he was beautiful, but what make really unique, its the sadness in his eye, he look like he's alone in this world.

" He's moving, turn right, and head for the park. " Hope informed Alaric.

" The guy from earlier, Aiónia, what do you think of him. " asked Hope, can't resist asking to Alaric.

" He seemed to be a mature, wise person, and an honest boy, and with his physique he is without doubt a Lady's killer. " Said Alaric turning the handlebars and looking at the road.

" I mean don't you find it strange? " she continued then looked at the card.

" He exudes a kind of peace, it's true that it's strange, and he has a sad smile and look." Alaric said thinking about it, curious what the boy had to go through to have those eyes and still keep smiling.

" Hmphh...., can I officiate his admission test? " Hope asked wanting to find out more about the boy, and how he knows his father before giving a new instruction to Alaric.

" Why are you interested in him? " Alaric asked, following Hope's commands.

" Whatever. " Hope knows not to tell him that the boy knew his fatherand the weird reaction he had. she knows Alaric has a biased view of the Mickaelsons, and hates almost all of them, especially his father.

" It's good that you're interested in a boy, I don't like you isolating yourself like that, I already told you to try to make friends. " Alaric said, looking at Hope in the rearview mirror.

" No that's not it, I'm just curious. " Hope wanted to end the conversation.

" Try at least with the werewolves, having a pack would do you the greatest good... " Insisted Alaric.

" He's heading for the church. " Hope cut in, happy to change the subject.

" What? the church ? Damn it, that never announces anything good." Said Alaric pressing the accelerator.
