Chương 95: Chapter 88: Armageddon I

Bors, Leo, Kikotenshin Nekonyan, and Surshana retreated from the battlefield, their hearts heavy with the weight of the impending conflict and the grim reality of the choices that lay ahead.

Upon returning to their camps, they convened urgent meetings with their fellow Greed Kings and Great Gods, they explained situation.

"So a war it is." declared Crimson, the God of Fire, his voice carrying a fiery intensity that matched his elemental domain.

"Crimson is right," Milford declared with a fierce grin, his eyes burning with determination. "We've faced tough battles before, and we've always come out on top. This will be no different."

"You're both right. As long as the Ancient One remains outside of Nazarick, we have a chance, I believe." Kikotenshin Nekonyan said.

"Why is there no confidence in your words, Nekonyan." Hansuki asked.

"Then what you expect me to say, What we are up against is not some newbie who doesn't know how to use their power," Kikotenshin Nekonyan explained, his expression grave. "The Ancient One is a legendary player. Even someone say he is the legacy of YGGDRASIL then nobody can say otherwise."

"At one point, the whole gaming community knew about the Ancient One, the destroyer of Asgard, the Guildmaster of Ainz Ooal Gown. He is a master strategist who has faced countless battles and emerged victorious. You all know about the Eight Guild Massacre, right? He destroyed everything that stood in his way. And now he is here, and there are no developers here to control him now. We are up against such a legend. Can we really say with confidence we will emerge victorious."

"We don't have a choice, Nekonyan. It's kill or be killed. You were there with me, so you should understand that the only thing he (Ancient One) wants is to destroy us. He doesn't even consider peaceful negotiation. So we will fight, we will fight till we become victorious. Because if we don't then nobody will." Surshana said then he turned to Bors.

"Bors, tell Hougan to call off the ambush plan and open the [Gate] surrounding Nazarick. Our only advantage against Ancient One is our numbers. We need to exhaust Ancient One's forces before we send out our elites."

"Ancient-Sama, everything is ready." Demiurge said.

With a nod, I acknowledged Demiurge's report. "Excellent. Prepare the defenses and rally our forces. The time has come to face our destiny."

As Demiurge hastened to carry out my orders, I turned to rest of the Guardian and Co-Gurdians. "We must ensure that Nazarick stands strong against any onslaught."

Albedo and Aurora bowed respectfully. "As you command, Ancient-sama. We will not falter in our duty to protect Nazarick."

Just then, I sensed a shift in mana as numerous Gigantic Gates opened kilometers away from Nazarick, surrounding the Nazarick.

I knew that the Great Gods and Greed Kings had brought their full armies to bear against us.

The armies of the Great Gods and Greed Kings stretched across the horizon, a vast sea of warriors from every corner of their empires.

Human soldiers clad in shining armor marched alongside towering giants, their footsteps resonating like thunder across the battlefield. Demi-humans, with their varied forms and abilities, added diversity to the ranks, from agile elves to sturdy dwarves, each contributing their unique skills to the impending conflict.

Ten's and thousands of dragons soared overhead, their massive wings casting shadows over the assembled armies, while creatures such as gobile, troll, and Dryayad prowled among the ranks, their primal instincts sharpened for battle.

Above the assembled armies, the celestial beings known as Angels soared on majestic wings, their divine presence casting a radiant light upon the battlefield. With their shimmering armor and glowing swords, they exuded an aura of righteousness and purity, serving as beacons of hope amidst the chaos of war.

The Angels, with their unwavering devotion to justice and order, stood ready to lend their formidable powers to the cause. Blessed with divine magic and celestial blessings, they were formidable warriors capable of turning the tide of battle with a single stroke of their celestial weapons.

Among the multitude of races and creatures assembled on the battlefield, the presence of Surshana's Undead legion added another layer of terror to the already formidable army. The undead, with their lifeless eyes and relentless determination, marched in perfect formation alongside their living counterparts, their ranks seemingly endless.

Skeleton warriors, their bones gleaming in the sunlight, wielded swords and shields with eerie precision, while skeletal archers let loose volley after volley of enchanted arrows. Liches, their dark robes billowing behind them, commanded legions of undead minions with dark magic, while necromancers summoned forth hordes of shambling zombies to bolster their forces.

The undead knew no fear, no pain, and no mercy, making them the perfect soldiers for a battle of this magnitude.

The vastness of their combined forces was truly awe-inspiring, stretching as far as the eye could see.

As the combined army of the Great Gods and Greed Kings advanced, the ground shook beneath their feet, a testament to the sheer power and magnitude of their forces. With each step forward, they drew closer to Nazarick, their intent clear: to crush all who stood in their way and lay siege to the Nazarick.

Albedo and Aurora exchanged glances, their expressions serious yet resolute. "Ancient-sama, it seems the enemy has amassed their full strength," Albedo observed.

"Indeed," I replied, my tone steady "But Nazarick shall not fall. We will stand firm against their onslaught and emerge victorious."

With that declaration, I turned to address the assembled Guardians and Co-Guardians. "Prepare yourselves, my loyal servants. The battle for Nazarick is upon us, and as I say Ainz Ooal Gown don't know defeat."

"And Antares, You can use your full power."

"Your wish is my command." Antares as a wide smile across his face.

*HOOOONNNKKKKKK*

Suddenly I heard warhorn sounds across the battlefield. It's a tradition among the Demi-humans to honk there warhorn before the battle.

As the warhorns blared across the battlefield, signaling the imminent clash of armies, a wave of anticipation swept through the ranks of both the Great Gods and the Greed Kings. The air crackled with energy as the soldiers braced themselves for the coming onslaught, their hearts pounding with a mix of fear and determination.

For the Guardians and Co-Guardians of Nazarick, this was their moment to prove their loyalty and prowess in battle. With steely determination, they readied themselves for the fight ahead, knowing that the fate of Nazarick and all its inhabitants rested upon their shoulders.

Albedo stepped forward, her voice ringing out with authority. "Guardians, Co-Guardians, it is time to show the world the strength of Nazarick. Let us defend our home with honor and valor, for the glory of our Supreme One!"

"FOR SUPREME ONE! FOR ANCIENT ONE!"

(A/N: I want comments, lots of it, be it paragraph comment or chapter comment so post some comments.)

Just as the warhorn sounds both sides collided likes how two massive waves collides with each other, shaking the very ground beneath their feet. The clash was fierce and unrelenting, with warriors from both sides locked in a deadly dance of combat.

Swords clashed against shields, axes cleaved through armor, and spells arced through the air like streaks of lightning, leaving destruction in their wake. The air was thick with the sounds of battle—shouts and cries, the clang of metal, and the roar of magical energies colliding with explosive force.

Amidst the chaos, individual duels played out, each one a test of skill and strength. Heroes clashed with villains, their weapons flashing in the sunlight as they fought for glory and honor. Demi-humans battled against dragons, their agility and cunning pitted against the raw power of the ancient beasts.

🔹🔹🔹

A falling meteor slashed through the sky and hit the ground, where it burst into an explosion. A thunderous roar echoed all around. The massive shockwave flattened everything it touched and shattered the wall.

As the dust settled, revealing the grim aftermath of the meteor strike, the figure clad in the impeccable British suit emerged from the chaos. His demeanor was calm and collected, his expression betraying no hint of emotion as he surveyed the devastation before him.

With a flick of his wrist, he adjusted the lapels of his jacket, straightening his tie with practiced precision. Behind him, his seven generals, known as the Evil Lords, stood in silent reverence, their loyalty unwavering despite the carnage that surrounded them.

Demiurge, the mastermind behind the meteor strike, exuded an aura of calculated intelligence and ruthless efficiency. His silver tail, adorned with metal plates and sharp spikes, twitched ever so slightly as he contemplated his next move.

"Report," he commanded, his voice a low, commanding rumble that cut through the eerie silence of the battlefield.

One of the Evil Lords stepped forward, a sinister grin playing at the corners of his lips. "The enemy forces around the perimeter have been decimated, Lord Demiurge. Our victory is assured."

Demiurge nodded in satisfaction, his crimson eyes gleaming with anticipation. "Excellent. Prepare the next phase of our plan. We must strike while the enemy is still reeling from our initial assault."

Just then a battalion of Human and Demi-human teleport in front Demiurge.

"That's far enough! You demon, We will defeat you and bring your head back to our king!" One of the Demi-human with a lion head said.

Hearing this, Evil Lord Wrath couldn't contains his anger.

"You dare to disrespect.." But he couldn't finish his sentence as Demiurge interrupted him.

"That's enough." Demiurge said as he turned to the enemies.

Demiurge voice was gentle and pleasing to the ear. It seemed to worm its way into every man's heart.

Demiurge evaluated the man from his appearance. He reached an answer immediately.

Threat Level E (Worm).

Error Probability E (None at all).

Importance E (Guinea pig).

In other words, he was nothing but trash.

"we already know heads will be rolling. Now then may I know who you are?"

"My name is plax," Said the lion headed Demi-human.

"I see, I see. Since you have given your name, I fear it might be rude not to respond in kind. Greetings, ladies and gentlemen of this world. My name is Demiurge. The commanding general of Inferno Legion, I hope you will entertain us."

"I will not accept surrender or anything of the sort. Entertain me to the best of your ability. Now then let us begin." Demiurge said

Plax gave his subordinates the order to shoot.

There was no need to wait for the General's commands. They were permitted a degree of independence, because opportunities to snipe the enemy commander were not readily available. Waiting for approval from their superior might result in them missing their chance.

The men around plax order.

It took only a moment to lock onto their target. A distance of fifty meters was essentially point blank range. They drew their bow, filled with the intent to kill.

"—Loose!"

Hundreds arrows flew out in time with plax voice.

Their enchanted bows discharged magical arrows.

The flaming arrows left red lines hanging in the air, blue trails lingered behind the ice arrows, the lightning arrows' path was marked in yellow, green streaks followed in the wake of the acid arrows.

The arrows loosed from the fully-drawn bows travelled flat paths as they streaked through the air, each one striking Demiurge and Evil Lords body without deviating in the slightest.

Plax shots were exceptionally potent, and after being enhanced with his martial arts and his skills, each of them possessed power comparable to a mighty downward slash from a heavy trooper. If he were hit by this, even a man in full plate would be knocked back and sent rolling over the ground.

However Demiurge did not move in the slightest even after taking hundreds of arrows.

And then, something happened which made him doubt his eyes.

The arrows which should have punched through his body fell to the ground.

What!? Is he defended against projectiles!? Plax thought.

"...Now then, do permit me to make a move of my own. It is a trifling present, but I would be delighted if you would accept it. {Hell Fire}." Demiurge said.

Demiurge's eyes gleamed with amusement as he watched Plax's disbelief morph into horror.

As the flames subsided, Demiurge stood amidst the smoldering wreckage, his gaze cold and calculating. "Consider it a token of my appreciation for your assistance," he remarked, his voice dripping with malice. "And a warning to any who dare oppose the might of Nazarick."

With a flick of his wrist, Demiurge dismissed the flames and turned his attention back to the battlefield, where the war against the Ancient One raged on.
