Chương 45: Kill
The caravan of Princess Jean hastily traveled in the plains. They change their horses into a more powerful one so that they can travel faster. All they wanted is to return quickly to the territory of the Molon Kingdom where they can relax their guard.
While inside the carriage, Elder Red was continuously releasing waves of man from his body. Its purpose is so that he can detect immediately whoever was coming towards the carriage. However, he was still restless and anxious. Because if someone stronger than him appeared, even if he knew they were here. He didn't have the strength to fight back.
Inside the carriage, Princess Jean was holding a talisman in her hands. It was a teleportation talisman that her father gave to her. If ever they encounter something they couldn't defeat. She will crush this talisman in her hands and it can teleport her around two kilometers of her current location.
It was a precious item because it came from a mage that uses space elements. It was found by her father when he was young and he gave it to her in case she encounters any life-threatening events.
Hours later, Elder Red's face was slightly pale. With the continuous use of mana, he was almost exhausted. Droplets of sweat covered his forehead while his clothes were already wet because of sweat.
"Elder it is just several more minutes before we arrive at the Oldwall City. You can now rest and as to not tire yourself too much or it will have bad effects on your body" seeing the current appearance of Elder Red, the princess said with a worried tone.
"Did I think too much?" Elder Red asked himself this question. Could it be that he was getting paranoid?
"Maybe, but what you do is right. It is better to stay alert in another territory. Because no one really knows what might happen" the princess said. Her expression of relief was a clear sign that she was extremely anxious earlier. Luckily, nothing really happens and they could get back safe.
Oldwall City
Danzo was watching as Oden and his soldiers stand in front of the city gate. Suddenly, he noticed a group approaching from the distance.
The banner of the Molon Kingdom was fluttering above the luxurious carriage surrounded by a group of knights. He knew that this was the group he's waiting for. Knowing that he must finish this task quickly, his body flashes forward with incredible speed.
Oden and the soldiers felt a strong gust of wind pass them and was startled. But as an experienced warrior, Oden knew it wasn't an ordinary wind. His face drastically change as he roared, "Enemy attack! Protect the princess!"
Because of his loud roar, the guards around him immediately pull out their weapons and follow the gust of wind towards the carriage. They were thinking that if anything happens in the princess, they will be the ones to carry the consequences.
Leading the soldiers, Oden holds one short sword in both hands. Even though he couldn't see the movement of the attacker clearly. His intuition tells him that the attacker was about to arrive at the carriage.
"Despicable villain!" Oden yelled in anger. His powerful voice traveled fast alerting the knights in the carriage.
Elder Red who heard the shout quickly reacted, however, he was still too late.
Danzo who already arrived at the top of the carriage was holding a short dagger (Kunai) in his hands. His eyes flashed with murderous intent as he swiftly cut the carriage in half exposing the two people inside.
"Die!"
A knight jump from his horse holding his sword and swing it towards Danzo. However, Danzo didn't even turn around as he crouches down. After that his foot immediately moves and kicked the knight at his chest.
Bam!
A muffled sound echoed as the armor of the knight was destroyed. His chest was caved in because of the heavy kick as he slammed towards his horse while blood was coming out of his mouth.
The knights seem to not afraid of what happened to one of them as they all charged forward. They only have one thing in their mind. And that is to kill Danzo to protect the princess.
Unfortunately, their strength isn't even enough to make Danzo feel threaten. He just easily dodges their attacks while swinging his weapon to their necks. The thick armor metal covering the necks was deemed to be useless as it was cut easily like tofu.
Blood splashes from their necks as it showered around them.
All this time, Princess Jean was watching in horror as blood splattered to her beautiful face. Her face which was devoid of color was trembling like her whole body. This is the first time she witnesses such a brutal scene. The thick stench of blood came inside her nose making her frown as she started to vomit. She was so scared that the area between her legs started to get wet followed by the smell of ammonia.
Elder Red who was also inside the carriage didn't dare to move carelessly. With such a short distance between him and the attacker. His life would be easily taken if he makes any unnecessary movements. His observant eyes were watching carefully waiting for the right chance to counter.
"Old bastard surrender your life!" waving his two short swords, Oden ruthlessly attacked. His weapon whistles through the air as he performs his killing blow.
However, what he didn't know was that the disparity between their strength is huge. It was like an ant trying to defeat an elephant. The attack which he was proud of was deflected by a single hand.
Oden's eyes widened in surprise as he couldn't believe what his eyes see.
Danzo's face remains unchanged while his hand moves swiftly. The dagger in his hand pierced through the heart of Oden silently. Oden didn't even notice his movements as he just realizes that a dagger was stabbed on his chest.
Bam!
Danzo pulls out the dagger and kicked Oden away smashing to the ground heavily.
"Fire Lance!" taking this chance while the enemy wasn't paying attention to his surroundings. Elder Red performs a spell and burning lances fly towards his target. 'With this close distance, even if he wanted to dodge my attack. He doesn't have enough time to do it. This is my win'
However, the next scene directly plunges his heart into the cold abyss. He saw the man suddenly disappeared in front of him. Then he felt a great crisis envelop him. Behind him, a shadowy figure appeared and he cries in terror, "Don't!"
His voice came to an end when a small hole appeared in his neck. His body lost its strength as it slumped heavily to the ground. Bubbling blood sounded from the hole in his throat.
Witnessing everyone around her dies even Elder Red who she saw as a powerful figure. Princess Jean was on the verge of collapse. "D...don't come near me. My father is the king and I am a princess. You ask, and I can give you anything as long as you don't kill me"
Danzo indifferently look at her and said, "That thing, would you mind giving it to me?"
The princess followed where the man was pointing and saw that he came for the True Jade Stone. Without any thoughts, she quickly hands it to him with her trembling hands. In her mind, as long as she could keep her life it is fine. She knew her father can understand what happened to her.
