Chương 40: Ceremony

Ceremony day

The capital of the kingdom was lively. The streets were full of people waiting for the ceremony. In front of the palace, many guards were standing in duty to stabilize the situation if ever something unexpected happens.

Inside the palace, Lori was wearing silver clothes with a golden trim around it. The clothes have a wing engrave to it as the symbol of the kingdom. In his right hand, he was holding a silver fan which gives a very noble air around him. With his current appearance, Lori looks extremely handsome which causes the female servants who see him blush.

"Elder sister, you really came at the right time. I thought that you wouldn't be able to make it in my ceremony" Lori approach a beautiful woman staring at him. His lips arched in a wide smile as he stands in front of her.

"Does my little brother really think that elder sister won't make it? Did you know that when I receive the message you sent me I immediately ask for permission to my master to return and attend your ascension to the throne? Hearing you said it like that, makes elder sister slightly sad" the beautiful woman with platinum silver hair said with a hint of playfulness.

She was Keira Silverwing, the first princess of the Silverwing Kingdom. She was known as the first beauty of the kingdom. Countless men were captivated by her beauty that could be said as otherworldly. Even men from different places were visiting the capital just to admire her beauty. Because even though she was extremely beautiful, they didn't dare to approach her because of her cold personality.

However, her cold personality was only directed to others. If she were with her family she was very warm.

Aside from being beautiful, she was also very talented in using swords. That's why she was recruited as a disciple of Harmonious Jade Valley. It was a sect that only accepts female as their disciples. Harmonious Jade Valley was a powerful sect in the empire that teaches both warriors and mages. Fortunately, she was admitted and successfully becomes a disciple of an elder in the sect.

Listening to the playful complaint of his sister, Lori just said, "It is good that sister arrives today. If not, this little brother would be really sad because sister is not here"

Bam!

The door in the room was kicked open and a young lady came in. It was Rose when she saw that the two were talking she pouted and said, "Sister you arrived this time and you didn't even go to see me. You really forgot about your little sister and only cares about your little brother"

"How can that happen? My little sister is the one I love the most, how could I forget about her" Keira said as she pulls her sister in a warm hug. A few seconds later, she took out a beautiful necklace and said. "Here, big sister has a present for you"

Rose's eyes brighten in joy when she saw the beautiful necklace in her sister's hands. She let out a beautiful smile and said, "Big sister is the one really cared for me. It even gives me a beautiful present. Sister, you put it on me"

Just like the majority of women, Rose likes beautiful things, especially if it is an accessory. She turns around and lets her sister put the necklace on her.

Wearing the necklace, she looks at her brother and said, "Brother am I beautiful?"

Her smooth white skin has a color of red blush when she asked her brother. Her eyes were bright and were anticipating Lori's reaction to her.

"Beautiful, beautiful, my little sister is really beautiful" Lori praise her sister while nodding his head. He didn't deny it and tell the truth because she was really beautiful. Although there was still a hint of childishness in her, she will definitely grow even more beautiful in the future.

Embarrassed, Rose's face turned red like an apple and lowered her head. She didn't dare to look at her brother as she shyly fiddles with her finger.

Her sister's action wouldn't escape from Keira's eyes. She smiles as she thinks that her little sister hasn't really changed.

"Young Prince, the ceremony will now start," a servant said respectfully.

"Brother go, we siblings talk again after the ceremony" Keira speaks. Her hand stretches out as she fixes Lori's clothes with gentleness in her eyes. She then looks carefully at his face like she wants to engrave his face into her mind.

When Lori entered the throne room, his two sisters were already there staring at him. All eyes were focused on him as he slowly and confidently walks towards the throne. His summons was all present looking at him with respect and admiration.

Among the people inside were Princess Jean and Elder Red. They revealed a smile in their faces while behind their eyes were several flashes of light.

At the end of the room, his father was sitting on the throne for the last time watching his son. A never-ending smile was on his face as he continuously nodding his head in praise like a chicken.

Beside him were Selena and Mill. They were both wearing a beautiful dress that compliments their beauty. Selena has a tear running down in her face as she watches her son walks slowly to become a king. As a mother, she, of course, wanted the best for her son. That's why seeing him like this brings an endless amount of joy in her heart.

When he arrived in front of his father, Lori respectfully lowered his head and said several words. After that, his father stands up from his throne and remove the crown on his head. He approaches his son and put the crown on his head. He then speaks several words to Lori and the people around before stepping down.

Everyone in the throne room applause as Lori became the new king of the Silverwing Kingdom.

He then walks towards the empty throne and slowly admires it. He knew, that this will be his seat from now on. No one aside from him is allowed to sit on this throne that represents the highest authority in the kingdom. He also knew that upon receiving this authority, he would have a much greater responsibility. Well, this authority is what he wants and needs, so he sat on the throne.

Just after he sat, the people in the room all kneel and shouted.

"Hail his Majesty the King!"

Voices reverberated inside the throne room. When the guard hears that, he immediately blows the signal and an echo sounded in the whole capital.

The people around all cheers as they throw petals around them. Little kids were running and jumping around. The innocent smile in their face clearly reflects their feelings right now.
