A few days later...
The whole mountain Cloud City was already prepared for the upcoming war against the barbarians. The soldiers in the city walls were watching the barbarians camping outside the city. Standing in one of the towers, Lori wearing his white armor looks majestic. With him is Katakuri, Crocodile and Commander Allan.
"Your Highness, their preparations were almost complete. I guess they will attack in just a couple of hours" Commander Allan said. His expression was serious and there is anxiety in his eyes. Because he knew that the soldiers in the city were not enough to stop these 10,000 barbarians. He just hopes that the second prince sends someone in the capital to get some reinforcements.
Lori listens to Commander Allan and nodded to Crocodile. Understanding what he meant, Crocodile immediately transforms into sands and disappeared from the tower.
Commander Allan who saw the scene was shocked. As the commander of the soldiers in the city, he had already heard about Crocodile, the leader of the Baroque Works. Even Commander Allan glances down at this armor with a trace of shame in his eyes. He turns to Lori and couldn't help but asked, "Your Highness, these people?"
Hearing Commander Allan, Lori just said, "They are the private army that I develop all these years. Although their numbers were quite low, their strength is not to be underestimated"
Glancing at the footman in formation, Commander Allan could certainly feel that these soldiers weren't ordinary.

Lori turned to the barbarians and saw that three of them riding in horses were approaching the city walls.

"Let me talk to the city lord!" the man carrying a huge axe shouted loudly. Lori and the others who heard the shout could feel the power from the voice.
"I am the lord of the city, Lori Silverwing! Barbarian, announce your name!" Lori steps forward and glances down indifferently towards the barbarians.
"Silverwing?! If I guess correctly this city is part of the Silverwing Kingdom. Don't tell me you're royalty, it seems to me that someone was kicked out from the capital!" Khof sneered and his disdain was clear from the tone of his voice. "I am Khof Lu, the leader of this barbarian army. Lori right? surrender now and open the city gates and there will be no bloodshed. I can promise you that we won't hurt anyone as long as they surrender"
"I have no intention of surrendering, especially to a barbarian like you" Lori rebuked, "Barbarian! Turn around now and bring your army with you. If not, this land will be covered by the blood of your men"
Khof who below became enraged when he heard Lori's words, he mockingly said, "Wait and see if you and your tender people have the ability"
Khof and the other two then turn their horses and return to their camp.
"Lord Khof, those people in the city clearly did not respect us. Let me lead the first charge and crush them all to the ground" one of the men beside Khof said. He was one of the leaders of the smaller tribe that joins Khof in this attack. Because he was a powerful warrior and he admires Khof's strength.
"Since you want to lead the first charge, them I will entrust that task for you" Khof smiles and continues, "Yol, don't disappoint me"
The barbarian named Yol patted his own chest and confidently said, "Lord Khof, I will not fail this task that you gave me. I will take the head of that Lori and present it to you lord!"
You saluted and immediately kicked his horse towards the camp to prepare for the attack.
"Lord Khof, the city walls were heavily guarded and if Yol and the others just charged forward. They will definitely receive heavy losses. I think we should first plan how to deal with the soldiers in the wall and how to destroy the gate" the remaining man beside Khof said. He and Khof grew up from the same tribe, so he knew very well about Khof's character.
