One week later, after the day she was assigned to this case, she still couldn't find anything strange going on. No more threats were found and they never bother him again. Although Zhang Jin insisted on living alone in his apartment, she forbade him to live there again.
She thinks they knew someone was protecting this guy. But she doesn't really have to worry about it considering she has her own way to fulfill this mission, even if it's hard for her to accept it from the start. For the past few days, whenever Zhang Jin went out, he didn't go out without her.
Sometimes, she annoyed him by forbidding him to hang out with his friends. Although he's already known his friends for a long time, he shouldn't have just trust them all the time.
They were in the mansion of the Zhang family. The first time she entered this palace-like mansion, she was left amused. She never got a chance to see this kind of art before. But now she did.
Mr. Zhang Huang has allowed Lian Qiang to be in their mansion regularly since she has been protecting his son. He even wanted her to just move there, but she refused. The two of them were left eating dinner while Mr. Zhang had already gone on his business trip.
"I will inspect them one by one once they enter," she suggested while sipping her lemon juice.
Zhang Jin laughed ironically, "I can decide whatever I want."
She remained calm. "Mr. Zhang just told me to monitor you. He told me that you should distance yourself from other people for now," she said calmly, although it's impossible to keep it. "How many friends will come?" she asked.
"Do I need to count it for you?" he sneered. "Count it yourself. Stop meddling with my personal life."
"To tell you honestly, I'm not that kind of person who will have an interest in your personal matters. I was just following my own job," she said seriously. Her gaze didn't leave his eyes, trying to let him absorb what she wanted to say.
Zhang Jin felt the authority in her voice, leaving him speechless for a moment.
"It's your job to protect me, not to forbid me to do my own business!" He pushed the chair in which he was seated and furiously went outside, leaving the dining table with her.
She put her palm on his forehead and rubbed her face irritably. For now, she decided to keep an eye on him whenever he was with them.
She knew that this party had given her a headache again. Yet she continued to tolerate even his smallest transgressions. She didn't concern herself with his personal matters, but she had to be aware of his situation.

The party had started, and everyone was already at the gateway. Lian Qiang informed the guards of the Zhang residence that she would be responsible for inspecting things.
Zhang Jin became furious when he saw Lian Qiang blocking visitors at the gateway of the mansion. She checked each bag, knowing that if she saw anything strange, she wouldn't allow them to enter. When he finally got there, he gripped Lian Qiang's wrist aggressively, which left her very confused about what this guy was doing. She was dragged to the back of the mansion, where no one could hear them.
"What are you doing, woman?" He asked her angrily, clearly confused about what she was doing with his friends.
She immediately removed his hand from her wrist. "I am just doing my job!" She called out.
Zhang Jin laughed sarcastically. "Are you suspecting my friends?" he asked in disbelief.
"No. Like I said, I'm just doing my job!" Her gaze never left his eyes, and there was authority in her voice.
"Does your work involve inspecting their things?" He asked in a low tone, feeling intimidated by the woman's gaze.
"Yes, it does," Lian Qiang responded confidently, consistently meeting his gaze directly.
He doesn't know what to do, but if he is stubborn, he might even be reported to his father. The woman remained calm in front of him, with no expression on her face. "I already allowed you this time, but it seems like you are complaining. Then, let me force them to go home instead. I'll make a scene." She threatened the young man.
She was about to go where the visitors were hanging around, but the man immediately grabbed her wrist again. "No, wait! Okay, I will not bother you anymore! I get it. I won't interfere with your job anymore! Are you happy now?" he said, afraid of what she was planning to do.
For a long time, she's been saying that he is not allowed to participate in gatherings with his friends or any other social occasions. The only exception is family events, as there are many people present, including her, to keep watch.
He should be staying away from people for now, for his own safety but she couldn't resist his stubbornness.
"Copy." She calmly left Zhang Jin.
Zhang Jin clenched his fist with his eyes closed, controlling his anger toward that woman.
"So that's what it was, and yet you said so much more," she murmured with a smirk.
