Chương 9: Detour.
Inside the subway, Elgoog city, Planet Dehzahk:
"Hey Jack? Do you copy?"
"Yes Fred, I copy. Have you reached Aidats city yet?"
"Umm… About that…"
"What happened? Don't tell me you lost your way."
"I didn't lose my way, Jack. Infact, there is no way here.", Jack said, looking at the path in front of him that was blocked by a mountain of broken bricks.
"No way? What are you talking about?"
"Looks like the ceiling gave in. I must take a detour now. I checked in only to inform you that I will be late."
"Can you make it safe, or shall I ask my dad to come and find you?"
"Grown ups, are we?", laughed Jack. "I'll reach there as soon as possible."
"Bye Fred. Come as soon as possible."
"I will, Jack. I will."
The underground bunker, Griseran forest, Forvirretia, Planet Dehzahk:
Geoffrey suddenly realized that Fred had given him a spare key when they met each other to use when the bunker was locked for any reason. He searched his pockets for a few minutes and got it.
Inside the subway, Elgoog city, Planet Dehzahk:
Fred looked around him. Everywhere looked the same. He felt like he was going around in circles. He pulled out his radio. It had died. He took out his camera to trace his way back. That was dead too. Frustrated, he took a left and left in search of any possible exit.
The underground bunker, Griseran forest, Forvirretia, Planet Dehzahk:
Geoffrey searched the entire bunker. He couldn't find any clue. In a short while, he saw the radio receiver – the copy cat receiver as Fred called it – blinking green. He played the message.
"Fred, do you hear me? Are you even anywhere near us? Say something. Why are you silent? Can't you hear me? Okay, if you reach Elppa, contact me immediately, please?", said the voice in the message.
"Elppa…"
"Elppa…"
That word kept ringing in Geoffrey's ears.
"Elppa…"
He mumbled to himself, "Elppa. As in Elppa temple? Wasn't it where the villagers noticed a shuttle falling? Isn't that place considered out of bounds since long before 'The Final'? Freddy, what trouble have you gotten yourself into this time buddy?", he breathed for a while and declared "I'm coming for you."
