"What do you mean by 'slept with'?" Luffy, in turn, started asking for details. "Was it in the euphoria of victory or…"
"Or," Johnny, like Yosaku, hoping in the power of his fruit, nodded. "She didn't get off him for a whole ten days."
"Ho-ho! Well done, Zoro!" to Nami's utter dismay, Luffy expressed his full approval.
"Don't you dare praise him!!!" The girl protested out loud, and in addition to her words, she started pinching the guy sitting next to her painfully… in theory, it should have been painful, but in practice, the satisfied expression didn't seem to leave Luffy's face. "By the way, she cried because of him!"
Nami's exclamation made Zoro, Johnny, and Yosaku look at the girl in surprise. However, the swordsman immediately had to turn his attention to the enraged Sanji, who promptly tried to punish the "heartless bastard who made the incomparable sister of the divine Nami-san cry."
"I don't remember Nojiko crying," Johnny said somewhat skeptically.
"I'm not surprised," Nami scoffed disdainfully at him and Yosaku. "You men just want to drag anyone into your bed, and you never think about the consequences!"
"By the way, excluding brothels, practically all the women I've ever been with jumped into bed with me on their own, so don't lay all the blame on us men!" Yosaku, justifiably indignant, protested, folding his arms across his chest.
"And you know our Zoro and his attitude towards women," Johnny added in his weighty comment. "You can deceive yourself as much as you want, but personally, I don't believe for a second that he dragged Nodiko into bed. Everything that happened was clearly her initiative, and she knew in advance that Zoro wouldn't stay with her."
"So, everything that happened isn't his fault," Yosaku concluded, raising his finger as if to give a lesson.
Nami had nothing to say in response. They all knew each other too well, so the girl understood perfectly that Johnny and Yosaku were telling the truth. Zoro really, as far as Nami knew, reacted very weakly not only to women but to people in general, usually preferring a tactic of total ignoring. Given his behavior, appearance, and reputation, people, regardless of gender and age, avoided Zoro by a wide margin. Only a few managed to get the green-haired swordsman to pay attention to them. However, as far as Nami could remember, Zoro, in ordinary circumstances, never showed interest first. Either for various reasons someone would take the initiative, or the situation would develop in such a way that Zoro simply couldn't ignore it, resulting in an acquaintance. Nevertheless, even in these cases, if Zoro was interested, it was only in people with significant willpower… like Nojiko… But even then, it was highly doubtful that Zoro was the one who took the initiative first.
"…Still, all men are bastards," Nami stubbornly declared, completely ignoring the fact that she herself constantly and willingly sat next to one such 'bastard'… Or rather, a Bastard without any quotation marks and with a capital letter, but the reason was not at all that Luffy was a guy. "And it doesn't change the fact that Nodiko cried because of Zoro." The girl knew perfectly well that she had managed to lose the argument even before it began, but she was not willing to simply admit defeat.
"When did she cry?!" protested Zoro, from behind Johnny and Yosaku, where he continued to fend off the incredibly persistent Sanji, who wholeheartedly wanted to punish the 'despicable scoundrel'... and not because of wild envy, no!
"When we were leaving, you insensitive oaf!" Nami nailed the guy. "At least say goodbye properly!"
"I said goodbye properly!"
"You don't say goodbye to girls with just a pat on the shoulder! Should have given you a good thrashing so you would remember forever how not to act!"
"Nami, you actually gave him a thrashing," Johnny decided to play the 'voice of reason.' "And quite a severe one! He even got a bump the size of a fist on his head."
"Not hard enough!" Nami declared stubbornly, remaining completely deaf to the so-called 'voice of reason.'
"Ryu, calm down," Yosaku advised his friend after taking a swig of beer from the bottle. "This chicken doesn't even know what she's saying, so it's pointless to appeal to her reason."
The guy was immediately met with another scornful snort.
"I have a question," Usopp spoke up when he made sure Nami wasn't going to continue discussing Zoro and Nojiko's relationship. Sanji, however, wasn't at all perturbed by this and continued attacking Zoro. "How did you manage to come back so quickly?" the long-nosed guy asked, causing Luffy's previously relaxed demeanor to vanish like the wind. "I thought you would be gone for almost a month, but you managed it in just five d...
"HOW DELICIOUS THIS SALAD IS!!!" Luffy, grabbing the mentioned salad, began devouring it with gusto.
"You don't particularly like greens," Nami looked at Luffy in confusion. "And why are you yelling?"
"…Because it's tasty?"
Nami's expression shifted from confusion to suspicion, but even under such a gaze, Luffy continued eating the salad as if it was nothing but his favorite meat.
"Usopp, so what were you going to ask?" finally, after a full minute of intense scrutiny of Luffy, the girl turned back to the long-nosed guy.
"Huh? Oh! I wanted to ask how you…"
"THIS IS SO DELICIOUS!!!" The salad was instantly set aside, replaced by one of the meat dishes.
Sanji, who had initially managed to ignore Luffy's first exclamation while continuing to attack Zoro, could not ignore Luffy's second admission:
"Didn't you say just half an hour ago that you didn't like it?!!" the deeply offended blond asked, even leaving Zoro alone for the moment.
"…I guess I just didn't appreciate it properly," Luffy apologized with surprising credibility… and this was incredibly suspicious!!!
