Chương 13: Chapter 12

Orlan held a katana in each hand, blocking Erathin's blade. Ivankov and the others were stunned to see Orlan reveal yet another skill.

In fact, Orlan had many cards up his sleeve.

Building the Hextech gateway was part of the escape plan, distributing weapons and setting traps were also part of the plan. Beyond that, Orlan had no need to reveal everything he was capable of.

Even his allies didn't know the full extent of his abilities, let alone the ignorant Celestial Dragons.

Seeing his attack blocked, Erathin's interest was piqued.

Compared to the Holy Knights led by Garling, there was a fundamental gap in power. The Holy Knights were the elite force of the Celestial Dragons, while Erathin wasn't even a reserve member.

He couldn't match Garling in anything except for his constant defiance.

But he wasn't like those bubble-helmeted Celestial Dragon weaklings; he was a member of the Celestial Dragons' core forces, having developed his skills normally.

The prey's ability to resist only made the hunt more thrilling for the hunter.

"I didn't expect to find a lowly commoner capable of entertaining me in this backwater of the West Blue. No, I should say rebel."

The Celestial Dragons weren't mute; they spoke normally and often used words to instill fear before harvesting their victims.

"You should feel honored. I'm in a hurry, so I won't torture you for long."

But today, he would miscalculate.

"Hah, you creatures always manage to surprise me. What makes you think you're invincible in this situation?"

"Of course, it's my strength! Lowly commoner, when you defy the will of the gods, your fate is sealed!"

Erathin began to exert more force. While the lower ranks of the Celestial Dragons were indeed foolish, the higher echelons still possessed logical foundations. They wouldn't use high-bounty pirates or slaves as hunting targets.

The Grand Line and the Red Line separated the seas, resulting in significant differences in combat power across regions. Pirates who thrived in the New World would likely crush those in the Four Seas.

Thus, Erathin never considered anyone on God's Valley to be a tough opponent. He hadn't even used much strength initially. But as he increased the pressure, he didn't achieve the expected results.

"Seriously, anything can claim to be a god these days."

As Orlan activated the core of his armor, blue energy flowed through his exoskeleton.

Output power: 100%.

Some areas of Valoran were relatively peaceful, but the continent was inherently unsafe. Roaming Darkin, demons hidden among people, Void creatures watching the land, star spirits atop Mount Targon...

While Orlan was primarily a researcher in Piltover, a relatively stable place, personal strength was crucial. Coincidentally, Orlan had some "teachers" he was quite familiar with.

"If creatures like you can be considered gods, then today, I will be a god-slayer."

With his face concealed by a mask, Orlan couldn't see Erathin's expression, but he didn't care.

With the aid of his exoskeleton, Orlan unleashed a burst of power, knocking Erathin's weapon aside and slashing upward with both katanas.

Rinshin Zan! Two slashes cut through the air, creating an invisible barrier that disrupted Erathin's movements. Strands of hair fluttered down, and Erathin's mask split in two, revealing his enraged face.

"Daring to make me breathe this filthy air, you..."

Shing! A blade flashed past his ear. Orlan didn't bother responding. As Erathin fumed, Orlan was already beside him, right sword striking down while the left sword thrust forward.

Erathin dodged the slash but his counterattack was deflected by Orlan's blade.

After several clashes, Orlan pulled back both swords and lunged forward, scattering wind blades that cut down two trees behind Erathin and left deep marks on the cliffside.

"Flying slashes?! No, flying slashes wouldn't be this weak... how can someone like him be just an ordinary prey..."

"Encountering a Celestial Dragon like you is a good thing. You're troublesome, but now I don't have to worry about whether you understand my insults."

The air currents around Orlan's blades dissipated. This was a special sword technique.

Orlan's sword teacher was unique. Strictly speaking, he wasn't even alive—a spirit in the mental realm—Yone.

The elder brother of the man who endlessly E'd into the rift every day.

Orlan's dreams often took him to this mental realm. When he met Yone, he exchanged a mystery about Yasuo for sword training.

Yone didn't practice Yasuo's exclusive wind techniques. Moreover, being "dead" at the time, Yone agreed to the exchange.

Seeing Erathin's position, Orlan stopped fighting him closely, as the setup was nearly complete.

Bang! Bang! Two muffled shots were heard nearby. Strong nets shot out. Erathin and Orlan had been locked in close combat, leaving little room for action. Now that they were apart, Ivankov and the others wouldn't just sit idly by.

"Such trivial tricks... in absolute power... you bastard, aren't you a swordsman?!"

Erathin found the nets slow. Except for Orlan's sword, which posed some threat, the rest didn't matter to him.

As he prepared to cut the incoming nets, an inexplicable force immobilized him, pinning him in place. The nets wrapped him tightly, and he fell, stuck to the ground.

It was then he noticed several metal claws rising around him, within a metal disc that generated the restraining force.

The device, based on Viktor's gravity field research, could restrict movement and stun anyone caught in it.

"Swordsman? I just know a bit of swordplay for self-defense. Why do you think I'd duel fairly with trash like you? Isn't this your game? Today, you're the prey."
