"Old man, please stop!"
"I'm your son. Are you truly going to end my life?"
Blackbeard yelled in terror, desperation etched on his face.
But Whitebeard remained resolute, unmoved by his pleas.
The mass of light charged with shockwave power descended relentlessly.
"My ambitions and dreams haven't been fulfilled yet. I can't... die here!!!"
Blackbeard's pupils narrowed to needle-thin points.
Faced with the impending threat of death, he mustered every ounce of his strength.
"Release!"
He bellowed sternly.
Black gas billowed forth from his body.
Then, from within the gas, various rubble and debris materialized and hurtled toward Whitebeard.
The Dark Fruit wasn't just a devouring force like a black hole; it could also expel what it had absorbed.
These rocks were the very things Blackbeard had recently consumed with the Dark Cavern Road.
A substantial amount of debris was unleashed, seemingly in an attempt to halt Whitebeard's assault.
But Whitebeard paid no heed to it.
The fist... continued its descent!
Boom!
A thunderous roar ensued.
A powerful shockwave erupted, reducing the ground beneath them to the consistency of tofu, which exploded in all directions, sending countless fragments flying.
And Blackbeard, too, was propelled backward by the force of the blow, crashing violently to the ground.
Blood seeped from his battered form, staining the ground crimson.
"Is it over?"
World inquired as he observed Blackbeard lying motionless.
"No... not yet!"
Ryder's eyes gleamed.
Everyone turned their attention to the scene.
Blackbeard, sprawled on the ground, was trembling, indicating that he was not yet dead.
"Heh~"
Crocodile sneered, cigar still in his mouth, and cast a sidelong glance at Luffy: "He really lives up to his D lineage. Seems they share a knack for enduring a beating!"
It had been the same with Luffy. No matter how hard he was struck, he'd rise again and again, akin to a persistent cockroach. It almost made Crocodile wonder if they possessed some sort of cockroach genes.
"To exist is to bear more suffering."
Bullet expressed disdain.
The others nodded in agreement, and their gazes toward Blackbeard were a mixture of mockery and pity.

Heavy panting filled the air.
Despite his severe injuries, Blackbeard managed to struggle to his knees on the ground. As he gazed at the blood pooling beneath him and felt its warmth, a trace of ecstasy crept onto his face.
He was alive!
He hadn't perished; death had not claimed him!
It was as if the joy of rebirth flooded his mind, nearly driving him to mad laughter.
But he had no time to revel in this newfound lease on life.
A deep voice resonated in his ears.
"Teach!!!"
The sound of deliberate footsteps approached, and the light above him dimmed suddenly. A towering figure with a crescent-shaped beard loomed over him.
Blackbeard, still in the throes of his ecstasy, suddenly shuddered.
He remembered...
Now was not the time for jubilation!
Whitebeard stood nearby, his intent to kill Blackbeard emanating strongly!
In fear and panic, Blackbeard turned his head stiffly.
The face that had driven him to despair reappeared before him.
"Old... Dad... please, have mercy..."
Blackbeard's body quaked uncontrollably, perhaps out of sheer terror, his voice rising to a shrill pitch.
But...
He was met with a devastating punch!
Boom!
The impact was deafening.
The luminous sphere, brimming with the force of shock, struck Blackbeard's face with brutal force. The ground quaked, and Blackbeard's body was forced deep into the earth.
"What?!!!" Blackbeard's scream echoed, and blood sprayed continuously.
"That's... gruesome," Shiryu of Rain remarked, beads of cold sweat forming on his forehead. Once again, he was thankful he hadn't engaged in combat with Whitebeard, realizing he would have fared no better than Blackbeard.
"Too brutal!" Crescent Hunter Dai Peng muttered. He had considered himself one of the most ferocious male prisoners, but witnessing Whitebeard's actions made him feel like a gentle lamb.
"This is the fate of those who harm their comrades," Bista and Joz commented without a hint of mercy, their hearts untroubled. Blackbeard was a traitor, and they would show no leniency to traitors.
Boom! Whitebeard's relentless assault continued. The D family's resilience was indeed remarkable. Despite enduring three consecutive shock attacks, Blackbeard was still alive, reminiscent of an invulnerable cockroach.
However, the reality was different. Blackbeard was severely injured, gazing at Whitebeard with desperation. He knew that without assistance, his life was slipping away.
"I haven't found ONE PIECE yet; how can my journey end like this?" Blackbeard screamed. His ambition was to discover the great secret treasure and become the person who finds One Piece. For this dream, he had endured for over two decades, finally obtaining the Dark Fruit he coveted. Now, he was on the verge of securing the Shock Fruit's power and becoming the world's strongest.
With his ambitions and dreams nearly realized, he couldn't accept dying willingly.
"One Piece?" Whitebeard regarded the dying Blackbeard with indifference and uttered words of despair, "The person Roger is waiting for is definitely not you!"
"Teach... You don't have the potential to be a king!!!" Blackbeard's eyes widened in response.
And then...
He witnessed the luminous sphere, brimming with shocking power, collide with his head.
Boom!
The ground erupted!
Blackbeard was driven deep into the earth, a symbol of his despair. Even the resilience of the D family couldn't withstand Whitebeard's relentless onslaught. The ground was stained with blood, and Blackbeard's body lay still.
Blackbeard, who had disrupted the original storyline and could have become Luffy's greatest adversary... had been defeated!
