Chương 3: CHAPTER 3

"If he did not thread me with harming my family, I wouldn't give a damn about him; I don't care if he is a prince or not."

Oliva felt as if she had committed a great sin in her life. She was thinking about Kiderak's next step, and she was sure he would not let this argument go easy.

"I'm fine with anything; I'm done."

She felt asleep and was woken up by her sister's tearing face. It was nearly midnight, and she was repeating:

"He died"

Oliva's heart was on her hand. She whispered:

"Kiderak"

Viola was not able to say a word, and Oliva sat by her on the floor.

"Who is he?" Oliva yelled that she could not bear a new shock.

"Mathyo, someone has attacked him; he passed away an hour ago."

Oliva's tears were falling continuously, and she regretted every hurtful word she said to him.

"Who killed him?

Take me to  him.

Olive lost her control. Viola took a deep breath, as if she were afraid to tell her the true details about Mathyo's death.

"Talk to me; tell me what happened to him."

Viola kept silent,so Oliva ran outside to the first one, whom she thought had killed her friend.

"Why did you kill him?"

She shouted with the highest voice she had, her red eyes firing like flames.

Kiderak raised his face slowly towards her; the way she broke into him was unexpected.

"What the hell are you talking about?"

He quietly said he was wondering about the reason behind her unnormal visit and, at this late time, although the road was not safe at high.

"Mathyo, you killed him. I know you are the one who took his life; don't pretend to know nothing."

Her breath was rising, and as she approached him, she held his upper shirt.

"Your problem is with me, Mathyo."

"Mathyo, Mathyo, don't you know anyone other than him? What the hell are you babbling about?"

Kiderak grabbed her waist, raised her chin with his thumb, and shaped her lips.

"I didn't lay a finger on him; calm down. I won't get mad just because someone confessed his love to you."

Kiderak stated, slowly letting down his hair, that she couldn't believe any of what he said.

"No, you're a liar."

She hissed; she stood before him again; he was hardly controlling himself; her memories with Mathyo were repeating endlessly in her head like a broken record.

"Oliva, I'm not going to repeat my words."

She rolled her eyes; he pulled her to the wall, then said:

"Don't you realize that you broke into the place? In the middle of the night, only the two of us are here alone."

She turned to the other side and gazed at him. "If I find out that you have a hand in Mathyo's death, you..."

He stared at her lastly, and to see that her tears were his most painful moments, he wiped them slowly.

"I won't do what harms you; how can I get rid of what is dear to you?"

He leaned on her shoulders, and Oliva wished him honesty in what he said. To hear her sister's voice outside the cafe, she came searching for her.

"We're not done yet."

Oliva uttered, pushing him back. She went to see her sister. Kiderak watched her while she was talking to her sister and her mother, who hugged her.

"Why did you leave the house?

We are worried about you."

Her mother said Oliva was in silence. The moment they got to the house, Vivian handed her a letter.

"They said this is for you; Mathyo wrote this before he passed a way."

Viola said her words, tapping on her sister's back. Oliva walked to her room and sat down to read. The latter said:

"If this letter reaches you, I might not be alive, so stop wiping like a baby. I'm always by your side, Oliva. I failed to make you happy. I had planned for us to grow old together. What'm I writing? Just forget it. Thank you for being the sweetest thing in my life. I loved  Oliva.

She cried the whole night, and even for a week she just stayed at home; she knew that Mathyo had been killed by one of the Kuns spies.

"I will take the revenge; your blood won't go to waste."

She said this while preparing for her magical show.

"I have to be strong."

Oliva hasn't faced Kiderak since that day; she was afraid to show him herself after what she did.

"He was honest about what he said, but that doesn't justify his impudent way of dealing with me."

She thought.

"I know the death of that man. What was his name? Yeah,  Mathyo had affected you. Listin daughter, you can get sad as you want; the only thing that I can't allow you to do is skip training."

Marko reprimanded his daughter. The disappointed look on Oliva's face was clear, but Marko did not care about her feelings.

"Sorry, father, I mean master."

Oliva uttered in a low tone. She walked out of her father's door, stopping her tears from falling any more.

"I'm also a human."

She whispered; she saw how her mother treated Viola; since they were young, she was the beloved; even Viola had been training under her mother's eye.

Running two miles a day without letting anyone notice her magical aura was Oliva's daily routine; the late-night training beside her academy made her stressed.

"I feel like I'm robbed, trapped in an endless, narrow corridor; no matter how I run towards the end of the tunnel, there is no way out."

Oliva said she was waiting in class to be called for her turn to perform the great magical show.

She wished her father would attend her show and be proud of her; it seemed like she was dreaming of the moon.

"My father didn't give a damn about my academy; why should I always train on how to hide my real power? What is wrong with showing off a little bit?"

Oliva leaned back; she could hear the girls behind her. They whispered about how she was the cause of Mathyo's death.

Oliva said nothing; she just lowered her head and waited patiently for the time to pass quickly.
