Hannah propped her chin with a smile, her red lips lifted. As soon as Arnold's face reappeared on the screen, she couldn't wait to ask, "Arnold, who was that person just now?"
A glimmer flashed in the girl's eyes, and Arnold knew what she was thinking.
His words were casual and indifferent, "Someone unimportant."
Not giving Hannah a chance to continue asking, he moved onto the previous topic, "Have you been drinking?"
Hannah blinked and gestured slightly with her hands, her tone coquettish, "Only a little bit."
Drinking at gatherings is common on set.
But Arnold was still worried, probably because he was abroad and too far from Hannah.
Hannah fidgeted with her blanket, her voice soft, "Arnold, when are you coming back?"
Her words were full of longing and a bit of grievance.
Arnold's breath hitched, and he instinctively wanted to reach out to wipe away the girl's tears.
It was only when he raised his hand that he realized he was touching nothing but cold air.
