Hannah hadn't answered yet when Louis Snyder cut in before her, flashing a smile at the man, "Mr. Qualls, don't worry, I'll naturally take good care of my sister. You don't need to trouble yourself."
The youth's smile carried a chill. When he stood up, his height wasn't much shorter than Jackie Qualls's.
Jackie Qualls frowned slightly but showed no intention of arguing with Louis Snyder, he sighed, "Hannah, consider it me begging you, stay away from George River, don't..."
Don't what?
Looking into Hannah's eyes, filled with a smiling expression, the rest of his words got stuck in his throat.
Hannah's lips curved up as she spoke softly, "Mr. Qualls knows quite a lot, to be so aware of my whereabouts. If they didn't know better, people might think you're my fervent fan."
Jackie Qualls pursed his lips, and after a moment, he said, "I'm just worried about you."
