Aryan choked and quickly threw his body to the right. He fell among the tall and thick grass, tumbling to the ground before finally stopping with one knee bent, the other knee and one hand pressed to the ground.
His face was pale, his eyes were wide. Then he returned to his vigilance. Within this dense and tall grass, he couldn't dodge the beast's attack earlier.
What if it turns out to be not just one?
The moment his hand touched an object on the ground, he widened even more. There wasn't just one, but quite a few similar things lying on the ground, some of them even mossy.
They were the bones of one and many kinds of living things. Aryan also found a human skull there. He looked around, searching for something behind the dense grass.
"Grass Wolf," Aryan said in a low and trembling voice.
He heard the sound of a large creature moving among the dense grass as high as the adult man's chest.
