In a rocky field strewn with debris, two boys faced each other in an intense taijutsu battle, with quick and precise strikes. One of them had silver-white hair, while the other had red hair. In the midst of this chaos, a boy with thick eyebrows and a bowl-cut hairstyle, wearing a tight green jumpsuit named Guy, enthusiastically fueled the eternal rivalry between the two.
"Go, Kakashi, Atsuchi, ignite the flame of youth!" shouted Guy, holding himself back from participating in the battle.
Both Atsuchi and Kakashi unexpectedly stepped back, performing backflips.
Point of view of Atsuchi:
"You've improved, Kakashi," I said, wiping the blood dripping from my mouth.
"I didn't expect Kakashi's talent and intellect to be this good. We're evenly matched in everything except Ninjutsu," I reflected, remembering the moment when Kakashi and Guy joined my training sessions.
*Flashback, one month ago*
Despite the usual routine, there I was at Training Ground 7, fighting against Kakashi and Guy. Apparently, Guy had managed to convince Kakashi to participate in an exciting three-way battle.
"Wait, this is strange to think about," I reflected, noticing this inconsistency in my thinking.
Quickly dodging Guy's attacks, I lightly jumped and kicked his stomach, sending him towards a tree. Sensing an imminent level of danger, I swiftly evaded a vertical slash from a kunai, which grazed the tips of my hair.
"Kakashi, you would make a good hairdresser," I taunted Kakashi with a sarcastic smile. Irritated, he retaliated with quick strikes.
With subtlety and elegance, I evaded his attacks, moving away and performing a crossed tiger seal. I summoned two shadow clones that executed synchronized movements flawlessly, quickly putting Kakashi on the defensive.
Realizing his disadvantage in the battle, Kakashi quickly performed some hand seals and slammed his hand onto the ground. Spikes of earth emerged around him, charging towards me and my clones, colliding with our bodies and dissipating the clones, launching me into the blue sky.
As I fell onto the hard ground, my body dissipated, revealing a now destroyed tree trunk. Kakashi, wasting no time, began to walk and jump rapidly over the earth spikes.
Surprisingly, Guy appeared in front of Kakashi, blocking his escape route. Kakashi and I engaged in physical combat, while he used his family's characteristic taijutsu to push me back. But to Kakashi's dismay, Guy appeared out of nowhere and kicked him right in the face. Before I could even laugh, Guy smoothly transitioned by twisting his body and kicked me in the stomach, leaving me breathless and sending me towards the ground.
And so we continued throughout the day, without either of us calling for a truce. Dusty and injured, we remained on the ground, breathing heavily.
Noticing that Guy showed some resistance as he raised his arms towards his, both Kakashi and I prepared for the worst. However, Guy's arm fell limp again, making us sigh in unison.
Yet, during these rare moments of peace, Guy started snoring loudly like a saw cutting through a tree. Too weak to strangle him to death, Kakashi and I were bothered by Guy's noise for the rest of the night.
As we awoke with the first rays of sun on our faces, Kakashi and I were exhausted. With deep dark circles under our still tired eyes, dirty and covered in wounds and dried blood, we looked around and noticed that Guy was still peacefully asleep, in similar but better condition than us.
"Should we kill him?" I calmly asked Kakashi.
Kakashi seemed to ponder for a moment and looked into my eyes.
"Do not let him live. What an honor it would be if we killed him while he sleeps," Kakashi said calmly.
"You're right. He needs to be awake to suffer. Good idea, Kakashi," I replied with an evil smile, causing Kakashi to nod in agreement.
*End of Flashback*
Since that fateful day, Guy and Kakashi joined me in my training. Although their presence may temporarily hinder my progress with my own abilities, I was rapidly advancing in other shinobi aspects.
During this time with Guy, I used my ability on him again, attempting to understand the fundamentals of his body, which seemed somewhat abnormal due to his atrophied chakra system, if that's what I should call it. Guy wasn't incapable of using his chakra; he simply had great difficulty manipulating it to perform ninjutsu and genjutsu techniques.
Obviously, there's a logical explanation for this "deficiency." Basically, Guy's chakra system suffered from a chronic illness that I nicknamed "Chakra Hypotension." When Guy molded his chakra while performing hand seals, there was a loss of pressure, causing the chakra in his body to take longer to flow through the chakra pathways. This problem prevented the chakra from being manipulated in time to complete the technique, resulting in failures.
(Screw it, just swallow this crazy assumption.)
Enough talking. Guy is indeed capable of molding chakra, but his control needs to be impeccable to speed up the chakra molding process in his Chakra System. Only then can he execute basic techniques or inferior versions of the original ones.
After involving Guy in various chakra control trainings, he was finally able to perform the simplest jutsus, such as Bushin no Jutsu, Henge no Jutsu, and Kawarimi no Jutsu.
This reignited Guy's unwavering will even more, leading him to use the Substitution Technique whenever possible. However, one day Maito Dai punched him, scolded him, and motivated him to refocus on his taijutsu, making him value his virtues.
Returning to the fight...
Gazing intently at Kakashi, I summon a shadow clone and in unison, we begin weaving hand seals. Kakashi understands my intention and starts performing seals quickly.
Completing our seals together, I summon the head of an ethereal Fire Dragon with ruby-colored eyes, while my clone summons the head of an ethereal Wind Dragon with emerald-colored eyes.
As we see our dragons intertwine their heads, Kakashi completes his technique, and the ground around him takes the form of a gigantic circular shield, filled with reliefs and irregular earth spikes.
With a focused gaze towards each other, Kakashi and I conclude our joint technique, summoning:
"Fire Style: Ruby Dragon's Breath," causing the Fire Dragon to open its mouth and unleash a sea of flames.
"Wind Style: Emerald Dragon's Breath," my clone says, causing the Wind Dragon to blow powerful winds alongside the Fire Dragon, increasing the strength of the flames and giving a more vibrant color, a crimson hue, to the combined technique.
"Combined Jutsu: True Dragon's Blaze," my clone and I declare, completing the collaborative jutsu.
"Earth Style: Great Summit Shield," Kakashi says, slamming his hands onto the ground.
Then, the two techniques collide, and the surroundings explode into shards of hot earth that fly in random directions.
Kakashi doesn't emerge unscathed. Knowing he would be gravely injured if hit, he leaps backward and forms a single altered seal with both hands, showing his thumb and raising a circular wall of earth from the ground to defend against the shards raining down like bullets.
With a calm look, Kakashi jumps backward, evading two hands that unexpectedly emerge from beneath his feet, attempting to grab them. Feeling a hand touch his back, Kakashi senses the coldness of my kunai touching his neck.
And I feel a cold kunai from Kakashi touching my abdomen.
Clicking my tongue, dissatisfied with the outcome, I say, "Seriously, another tie? What the hell!" Then, I retract the kunai from Kakashi's neck, and he does the same.
Both of us had aimed for vital points, so the discussion about the final result of the match was already settled.
In the blink of an eye, Guy appears to announce the result.
"Tie! 35 points for Kakashi and 35 points for Atsuchi," Guy shouts with a bright smile.
Both Kakashi and I look at Guy with murderous intent, but Guy continues to babble on without even caring. Disheartened, I look at Kakashi.
"Your father returns from the mission today, right?" I ask Kakashi, ignoring Guy.
"Hmm," Kakashi agrees.
"Then let's stop here. I have other matters to attend to," I say, bidding farewell to Kakashi and Guy. Kakashi starts to do the same, leaving a lonely Guy behind.
"Wait, let's fight now, it was my turn..." Guy shouts, trying somehow to fight one of us. With teary eyes, Guy falls to his knees, defeated.
"Let's fight," he repeats, but we are already far enough to not hear his murmurs.
