Chương 45: Chapter-45
Sasuke, Kakashi, Guy took position, they circled around the giant tailed beast.
SASUKE: "Naruto, step back we will handle him. Hey chief you should also relax, everything will be fine, you should go back."
Naruto didn't try to argue with Sasuke, he competes with Sasuke all the time but when things get serious he know he can put his trust in Sasuke. Chief toad was also near his limit so he didn't needed to be told twice to leave. Next Sasuke, Kakashi and Guy attack one tail beast together and put the seal on it. Everything went smoothly and Sasuke manage to suppress one tail and put five element seal on Gaara.
Sand ninja were shocked, there biggest weapon has been dealt with and their jinchuriki was in the enemies hand. They were looking at Baki for next command. Baki also didn't know what to do, and the thing that was bugging him the most was that he didn't know where the fourth Kazekage went. The man he thought was Kazekage turn out to be Orochimaru. Sasuke looked at Baki since Kazekage was dead and he was the next in charge.
SASUKE: "Your jinchuriki is in our hand and Orochimaru has already killed your Kazekage, so I think it is time for sand shinobi to surrender."
BAKI: "Kazekage is dead?"
SASUKE: "Your Kazekage left sand village but the person reaching here is Orochimaru disguised as Kazekage. Do you think your Kazekage would miss this lively event. It was him who agreed upon Konoha crush plan and now he is nowhere to be seen. And the person who you thought to be Kazekage turn out to be Orochimaru. Don't tell me you can't even figure out what it means."
Baki was busy executing his mission, when Kazekage turn into Orochimaru, he had a bad feeling but he was in the middle of their mission so he focused on fighting leaf ninja. Now their tailed beast is down, Kazekage is nowhere to be seen, he understood that they have lost. Orochimaru can also sense that Sand ninja would no longer be his ally, they might even join leaf ninja to fight against him. So he decided it was time to retreat.
OROCHIMARU: "Ku..ku..ku, it seems like this is the end of Konoha crush plan. Sasuke, if you want power to defeat him then you must come to me. I will be waiting for you."
Sasuke was exhausted due to the battles he fought today. First he use Susano to defeat Danzo, after that he fought the combine force of fourth Hokage and third Kazekage, he also open fourth gate and use the ability of his right eye twice . He was in no mood to go fight Orochimaru. Sand ninja surrendered while sound ninja tried to run away but most of them were either caught or died. Orochimaru ran away while the useless anbu couldn't do anything.
SASUKE: "Well today was very eventful, it was fun but very exhausting. Hey Naruto, do you have fun fighting the tailed beast?"
Sasuke seems cheerful and happy while every other ninja were very sad because of Hokage's death. Kakashi knew Sasuke didn't like Hokage or village authority but he expected him to atleast pretend to be sad. Killing Danzo was very satisfying for Sasuke, that is why he couldn't contain his happiness.
NARUTO: "Sasuke, grandpa Hokage died!"
Naruto was confused by Sasuke behavior, he couldn't understand why Sasuke was so happy. Village was a mess, third Hokage was dead. Third Hokage was loved by everyone in the village so sadness can be seen on their faces, only Sasuke appears to be cheerful.
SASUKE: "My condolences, anyway I am exhausted so I am going home. See you later guys."
A large portion of Konoha was flattened due to the fight between one tail and Naruto, they fought in the middle of village. Civilians were already evacuated so no one died but many buildings were destroyed. Village infrastructure sustain a lot of damage but the real chaos was happening in village council. They couldn't find a single trace of Danzo and the whole root base was destroyed. Lots of root ninja died and large number of them were injured. They didn't even know who attacked them. Seal on their tongue vanished so they confirm that Danzo was dead. It did not just end there, when elders were called for council meeting, it was found that Koharu Utatane and Homura Mitocado were also assasinated. Everyone from the Hokage's generation were killed in a single day. Jiraya was put under a lot of pressure, they wanted him to be next Hokage but Jiraya promised that he will bring Tsunade back. Even then they wanted him to stay in village, not only Hokage died but Danzo and other two were also assassinated, so village was in bad condition.
Everyone knew that Hokage died but the news of Danzo's demise was kept secret. Although not many people know about Danzo but other Kage and higher authority of their village know about his existence as well as his methods and schemes. Danzo has a twisted personality and he scare other villages more than Hokage do.
Everyone in the village attended the funeral for Hokage and other fallen comrades except for Sasuke. He followed his routine, did his training like nothing happened. Since Danzo died, there was a possibility that Itachi may not show up, but the news of Danzo's death was kept secret. Sasuke was no sensory ninja but he has yin half of Kurama with him. Just before attacking root base, he asked Kurama to look for some weird kind of chakra, specially underground. He wanted to know whether white zetsu was keeping an eye on him or not. It turn out, no one was watching. Even though white zetsu did not watch him execute Danzo, there was a possibility that it later found out about Danzo's death. If Akatsuki know about it then Itachi must have been informed.
Sasuke was training hard, he could feel that he will reach fifth gate in couple of months. He was also preparing himself to face Itachi. It was not some plan to take down Itachi but mental preparation. He was preparing himself to face him. Although he was a reincarnation but he spend first eight year of his life with Itachi. He had many pleasant memory of his brother, he loved him and he also know the circumstances of Itachi in which he took such action, but still he cannot forgive him. Sasuke has killed a lot of people, after killing Gato, he also finished his men. After that he raided few bandits hideout and killed many to get used to killing. Even with all those preparation, he was still very nervous to face Itachi.
