Soul traveled into the world of Naruto, she replaced a recently deceased root recruit who failed the test at the beginning. She escaped entirely out of luck due to the shortage of wood-escape experiment subjects for Orochimaru.

Living like rats in the lab changed her worldview to the extremely bizarre path. She thought human lives were like leeks to harvest and kill at will in wars or whatnot. She worried that humans would extinct and believed that she had the responsibility to change it all.
