Chương 26: Chapter 26

Jiraiya marveled at Naruto's tactical brilliance as the battle unfolded. The revelation that Naruto had been employing shadow clones from the start left Jiraiya both impressed and wary. Despite the dazzling display of skill, Jiraiya remained resolute—he had to capture Naruto alive, no matter the cost.

With practiced ease, Jiraiya unsummoned his toad, leaping into the air. Both combatants entered a state of weightless combat, their mid-air exchange becoming a deadly dance of hand seals. Naruto countered swiftly, unleashing

Wind Style: Gale Palm,

sending a slicing wind blade hurtling toward Jiraiya. In response, Jiraiya executed his Needle Jizo, his hardened hair forming a defensive cocoon that deflected the ferocious attack.

As the battle escalated, Jiraiya shifted tactics.

"Earth Style: Swamp of the Underworld!"

he shouted, slamming his hands into the ground. The soil beneath Naruto's feet liquefied, forming a vast, viscous swamp. Naruto was quickly pulled under, the ground swallowing him whole.

Jiraiya exhaled, confident in his strategy. "This should keep you immobilized," he said, his voice steady but tinged with regret.

To his surprise, Naruto remained calm, his expression unfazed.

"Do you really think this can hold me?" he asked, a sinister grin spreading across his face. Blood-red chakra surged around him, the oppressive power of the Nine-Tails Chakra Mode fully enveloping his form.

The air grew heavy as Naruto began to form a Tailed Beast Bomb, the deadly sphere of condensed chakra crackling with raw, destructive energy. Jiraiya's expression darkened. He recognized the imminent threat. The Tailed Beast Bomb was a catastrophic technique, capable of obliterating everything in its path.

"Naruto, stop!" Jiraiya shouted, his voice laced with urgency.

Naruto's only response was the release of the bomb.

The world seemed to stand still as the sphere hurtled toward Jiraiya, its intensity blinding. Reacting instinctively, Jiraiya summoned another toad, using the Toad Mouth Bind to create a portal-like escape.

The explosion tore through the swamp, sending shockwaves in every direction. The ground quaked, and the surrounding terrain was left scorched and shattered.

Emerging from the safety of the toad's concealment, Jiraiya appeared slightly disheveled, brushing dirt off his shoulders with a sheepish expression. The technique had saved him from certain death, but the aftermath was devastating.

The area was unrecognizable, a charred wasteland bearing the scars of Naruto's unleashed fury. Jiraiya scanned the battlefield, his heart sinking as he observed the destruction. The loss of life weighed heavily on him. For Jiraiya, this was no longer just a battle—it was the beginning of Naruto's revenge against Konoha.

Among the survivors stood Naruto and Hyuga Neji, their expressions hardened as they faced the consequences of the devastation. The surviving Konoha ninjas looked to Jiraiya for guidance, their faces filled with fear and uncertainty.

Jiraiya rose to his feet, his face shadowed with determination. "This has gone far enough," he declared, his voice steady despite the turmoil around him. Turning to the remaining ninjas, he issued a command. "Engage Naruto and keep him occupied. I'll perform a technique and deal with him personally."

The weight of his words silenced the group. They nodded hesitantly, their loyalty compelling them to act despite their fear.

Jiraiya closed his eyes and took a deep breath, entering Sage Mode. The markings of a sage appeared on his face as his power surged, the natural energy around him flowing into his body. Fully prepared, Jiraiya readied himself for the confrontation.

This was no longer just a fight to subdue a rogue ninja. It was a battle to prevent Naruto's revenge from consuming Konoha entirely—a clash that would test not only their strength but the legacy of the Uzumaki clan and the bond between master and student.

The stage was set for an earth-shattering confrontation. Jiraiya's determination was unshakable, but deep down, he couldn't help but feel the sting of regret. Naruto was his student's son, and he couldn't ignore the shadow of the Fourth Hokage that lingered in the boy's actions.
