Chương 2: Welcome to Romania

It was about 3 in the morning when my mom woke me up. She told me to get ready because we were gonna be late for our flight. I slumped out of my bed and looked around and I saw my luggage and my boxes of stuff all piled up and ready to go. I sleepily walked to the bathroom and took a quick shower and then I changed into my clothes. I walked to the kitchen and ate a small breakfast. I walked to the car where my family was waiting for me. I sat in the back with my older sister Brooke and sat there quietly. 30 minutes in the ride my mom says "Aren't you guy excited!" My older sister replies " Kind of I guess." I reply " I'm not excited at all!" Mom's cheerful smile turns into a dull smile. I could tell she was really upset so I said "Maybe I could try and be excited. My mom smiles and turns back to look out the window. I know I said I could try to be excited but I couldn't. I was leaving my home, my friends, and my childhood. We arrived at the airport and boarded our flight to Romania which was 11 hours and 20 minutes. When we got to Romania it was already dark. My dad said "Well kids welcome to Romania." "Our new home." I said "yay " but sarcastically. We rode in a taxi and arrived to our new home. It was a small home, big enough for us. I entered the house and I felt a cold breeze up my spine. I ran upstairs and switched the lights in my room. It was pretty big and had lots of room. I quickly ran downstairs to help my parents and sister with the boxes so I can decorate my room. I yelled at the door to my sister "Hey Brooke where's the box that has my secret candy!" Brooke yelled back "Its in the car!" I rush to the car and I find my box of candy. When I close the car I see a shadowy figure in the dark moving really fast. I stopped to look and no one there."Funny" I thought. I walked back to the house and put the finishing touches in my room, but there were some boxes that weren't unpacked cause I was tired. After all that happened the house was finished and we only needed to go to bed. Me and Brooke started school the next day so I put my pj's on and fell asleep. *The next morning.* Rise and shine sleepy head. "Uggh! Mom why did you wake me up so early. "Sweetheart today's your first day at your new school." Oh,yeah. Go get dressed.Breakfast is downstairs. "Okay mom". I quickly changed into my clothes that were still in boxes cause I didn't finish unpacking. I run downstairs and the smell of bacon and strawberry waffles shoots right through my nose. I was probably drooling. " "Mmmm. Breakfast smells good." " I know right" said my sister. We ate our breakfast quickly and rode the bus to the school.
