[@#%^*^$@!]
[@#%^*^$@!]
The Dokkaebi words sounded like gibberish to everyone but two people.
"What is this?"
"Is this an augmented reality?"
"Where's the camera?"
The people were chattering busily trying to figure out what the hell was going on.
Amidst these people, Dok-ja was thrown for a loop in his mind.
"It sounds like Spanish...Should I talk to it?" Sang-ah asked Queresha, she was so shocked that she ended up forgetting that Queresha could fluently speak Spanish. But that wasn't the point.
"It isn't Spanish it is Portuguese," Haru said bringing Sang-ah's attention to him. But this wasn't the point either.
"But that doesn't matter, Don't move from away from here we don't know what is going on," Haru said in a soft tone to not freak out Sang-ah who looked really on edge.
Finally, we are on the main topic.
"O-Ok," Sang-ah nodded and took a deep breath trying to calm down, but she still didn't let Queresha's arm go since it looked like the latter didn't mind.
The Dokkaeki cleared its throat and spoke again, this time the people heard a familiar language the one they use every day, Korean.
[Ah. Ah. Does this sound good? Ah, I had a hard time because the Korean patch didn't work. Everyone, can you hear my words?]
As a familiar language was being spoken, people's expressions relaxed. It is scary how easily humans tend to relax when they see something familiar. The first one to step up was a big man in a suit.
"Hey, what are you doing right now?"
[…Huh?]
"Are you filming? I have to go because I have to quickly get to an audition." He seemed to be an obscure actor since his face was unfamiliar.
[Ah, auditions. That's right. This is also an audition. Haha, there was a shortage of data. I just entered when it was monetized at 7 p.m.]
"What? What are you talking about?" the man spoke in confusion.
[Now, now. All of you, relax in your seats and listen to me. From now on, I will tell you something very important!] Dok-ja felt his chest becoming stuffy.
"What? Quickly get off the train!"
"Somebody call the captain!"
"What are they doing without the cooperation of the citizens?"
"Mother, what is that? A cartoon?"
"Is this a new Variety Show?"
'There was no doubt about it. This was the development I knew. I didn't want to be mixed up in this… but there was no way. The people present wouldn't listen to the small and cute-looking CG creature,' Dok-ja turned to look at Sang-ah, Queresha, and Haru since he had to stop them from moving.
"Everyone, it is dangerous, so stay here." Dok-ja quickly said and it seemed like his message got across to Haru and Queresha who nodded, not that they had any plans to move.
'I should've listened to my gut feeling this morning,' Haru frowned because since morning he had this unexplainable feeling and he actually didn't want to come out today it was also the reason he took off early today but it had turned into this mess, where he is unprepared.
"Huh, Why?" Sang-ah's eyes widened. Dok-ja spoke during a moment of bewilderment, but there was no way to explain. To be exact, he didn't have to explain.
[Haha, you are really loud.] The Dokkaebi spoke in an irritated tone.
There was a presence with a stronger persuasive power than anyone else right now.
[I told you to be quiet.]
Dok-ja closed his eyes slowly as the Dokkaebi's eyes turned red. Something burst, and the subway became silent.
"Uh, uh. Uh…" There was a big hole in the forehead of the unknown actor who had to go to the audition. The man who had spoken several times collapsed on the spot.
[This isn't a movie shoot.]
There was a cracking sound once again.
[It isn't a dream. It isn't a novel either.]
Queresha quickly covered Sang-ah's eyes since what was going to happen next was clear.
One, two… Blood sprayed into the air as the heads of some people started to burst. They were all the people who had protested against the Dokkaebi, as well as the ones who screamed or went wild. Those who caused the slightest fuss had a hole in their heads. Suddenly, the subway became a bloodbath.
[This isn't the 'reality' that you know. Do you understand? So everyone shut up and listen to me.]
More than half the people present here died. Blood and body pieces filled the subway. Now, the people didn't scream. Like primitive apes in front of a powerful predator, everyone just watched the Dokkaebi with terror.
Dok-ja was surprised to see Sang-ah hugging Queresha tightly hiccupping. He was more impressed at how Queresha turned her face away from what happened and didn't look at the scene.
She is a strong person in his eyes just for that since most of the people were quivering in their seats crying while covering their mouths so that they don't get targeted.
'Why is he looking at the Dokkaebi that way?' Dok-ja gulped seeing Haru look at the Dokkaebi with a serious look.
'Is Haru-ssi mad? That does make sense given how he is, But I hope he doesn't cause a commotion,' Dok-ja was sweating a little, Haru was someone who didn't like bad things.
There was this incident when the financial Head Myung-oh was harassing a female employee Haru happened to see it and things got out of hand.
'What showmanship, this guy must be a newbie,' Haru thought in his mind while looking at the Dokkaebi, The thing the fluffy creature wanted was to get the situation under control and it used the most basic way to do that.
By killing…. Half of the people in the Compartment.
Oblivious to Haru's thought Dok-ja looked around and at his foot, there were blood splatters on his shoe and pants. This only confirmed Dok-ja's thoughts, This wasn't a dream everything in front of him was real, The people shaking in their seats, the blood painting the ground, the bodies laying across the floor like trash, it was all real.
[Everyone, your lives have been nice so far. Isn't that right?]
In the special needs seating area, an elderly grandmother met the eyes of the Dokkaebi.
[You have been living too long for free. Isn't life too generous? You were born and paid no price for breathing, eating, pooping, and breeding! Ha! You really live in a good world!]
Free? No one in the subway lived for free. The people strived to make money in order to survive, and they rode the subway on the way home from work. Yet at this moment, no one disputed the Dokkaebi's words.
[But now the good days are over. How long can you continue living for free? If you want to enjoy happiness, it is common sense to pay a price. Isn't that right?]
The gasping people couldn't answer. Then at that time, someone carefully raised their hand. "D-Do you want money?"
'I was just thinking about him,' Dok-ja thought as he recognized the person who spoke.
"I-Isn't that, Finance head Han?" Sang-ah who had barely recovered uttered her words with difficulty.
'This kid has a strong mind,' Queresha thought as she saw Sang-ah move away from her albeit she still held her coat.
'Why is this guy on a subway?' Haru thought with a plain look as he saw Myung-oh trying to ask the Dokkaebi about how much money he wanted.
[Hmm, You are giving me money?]
"T-That's right! The cash I have right now isn't much but… I can give you anything if you let me out of here." Myung-oh said.
[Money, good. A plant fiber that many humans mutually agree on.]
Myung-oh's expression brightened.
'This idiot doesn't know anything,' Haru thought, It was an 'Indeed, money is everything' expression. How pitiful.
"Now, this is all I have―"
[It only applies in your time and space.]
"Huh?"
At the next moment, flames appeared in the air, and the cheques in Myung-oh's hands burned up. Myung-oh let out a scream.
[That paper has no value in the macrocosm world. If you do this one more time, I will blow away your head.]
"U-Uhhh…" Fear once again spread on the faces of the people present. Haru could easily make out what the others were thinking.
What the hell will happen now?
And the Dokkaebi didn't disappoint everyone.
[Phew, the debt is piling up during the time when you are noisy. Well, yes. Rather than explain it a hundred times, isn't it quicker for you to make money yourself?]
The Dokkaebi's horns rose like they were antennas, and its body floated to the ceiling of the train.
A moment later, a message rang out.
[#BI-7623 channel is open.]
