Chương 25: 24. Trending?

Yuki walked home with a bag full of groceries. He was in a daze as he recalled the recent events. The scene had enraptured him completely.

Just the thought of it caused his heart to race!

Yuki hadn't participated of course. He wasn't dumb enough to try. He didn't know if he would get up after a single punch.

That didn't stop him from letting his imagination run wild.

It didn't take long for Yuki to reach his house. He slowly packed his groceries and changed clothes once more. With renewed vigor, Yuki headed to the park.

After finding a spot out of people's way, Yuki proceeded with training.

He didn't train his martial arts but his body. The manuals emphasized physique over anything else.

Yuki trained every area of his body that he could using calisthenic exercises. He quickly found his stamina drained as he pushed himself through the whole routine.

Push-ups, crunches, lunges, burpees...

The sun had fully set and Yuki found himself laying on the floor gasping for breath.

The night sky presented itself to Yuki as admired the scene.

"I wonder how strong I can get..." Yuki said out loud.

Yuki looked at his status and saw the [Adapt and Improve] trait.

[Adapt and improve]: Allows the body to continuously improve as long as the effort is put in.

"There's virtually no limit." A sigh escaped his lips as he stared at the sky for a while.

"I'll become strong." Yuki suddenly said with eyes full of conviction

"Stronger than anyone else." Yuki's eyes took on a feline look before swiftly returning to normal.

Yuki eventually picked himself up and headed home, unaware of the eyes that were following him.

Yuki prepared a light meal before collapsing on the bead. The day had fully drained him of all his energy.

Yuki woke up feeling stiff. He could barely move his body at all.

He sighed before forcing himself to get up. He wiped his face and grabbed an apple.

'Just a light run.' Yuki thought to himself as he walked out of the house.

He picked up his pace as he continued ahead. The wind against his face felt refreshing and seemed to fill him with energy.

Yuki completed his run without anything significant happening.

He prepared both his breakfast and lunch for the day.

He took a quick shower, changed and headed out.

"Ittekimasu." he said as he left the house. The street was filled with teenagers heading to school.

Yuki looked around and spotted Hanabi again. 'This must be the time she heads for school' Yuki noted as he approached her.

"Good morning Yasuraoka-san." Yuki called out.

Hanabi wasn't as surprised this time, but she wasn't used to Yuki's sudden change in behaviour.

"Good morning Takahashi-kun". she responded.

Unlike the previous day, Yuki had a normal conversation with Hanabi as they walked. It didn't talk long for them to get to school.

"Hanabi." This time it wasn't Yuki that was called out. They both looked up to see a pale-skinned young man with fluffy blond hair with light-brown eyes.

"Mugi!" Hanabi picked up the pace and she gave Mugi a hug.

Yuki was a bit surprised. He didn't think Hanabi would get a boyfriend. They looked very close too.

"Mugi, this is Takahashi-kun. He's a childhood friend. Takahashi-kun, this is Mugi. He's my boyfriend." Hanabi said as she introduce the two to each other.

Both boys scanned one another as they proceeded to shake hands.

"Nice to meet you. You can just call me Yuki." Yuki said with a smile.

"Nice to meet you too." Mugi responded

"Well, I have to get to class. See you later." Hanabi said as she and Mugi left.

Yuki's eyes followed them as they walked off. Something felt off about them.

He didn't give it much thought as he headed to class.

Yuki walked into class and was greeted by Raku, "Hey man. Are you good? You look like you haven't slept much."

"Yeah, you didn't even tie your hair." Shu added.

Yuki didn't even notice his hair was loose.

Yuki shrugged it off, "I overworked myself yesterday." He said as he tied his hair.

"What were you doing?" Surprisingly, it was Ruri who asked the question.

"Well, I was working out." Yuki answered honestly.

Everyone looked at Yuki in surprise, "You work out?"

"Why are you guys so shocked? It's not a big deal." Yuki said.

"How long have you been working out?" Shu asked

"For a while now." Even though it had been two days (A/N: I think), Yuki knew that his physique improved extremely fast. He didn't want to explain why he improved so quickly.

"I didn't expect that from you." Shu said.

Yuki didn't think it was that big of a deal and changed the subject. "Did we have any homework yesterday?"

"Not much apart from math. Oh yeah. Do you know that you're trending?" Shu said as he pulled out his phone.

"Trending?" Yuki was confused until he watched the video on Shu's phone.
