Chương 170: Ordeal

After the little bout between Father and Walker, I suddenly felt that it wasn't safe to leave him on his own with the other person. It seemed as though whenever Walker was added into the equation, Father becomes powerless when dealing with them. I wanted to make an excuse in order to stay with Father, but couldn't think of one in the end.

Since Father had agreed that I should stay over at Leo's house, there's nothing I could do to say no. I could only reluctantly pray that nothing happens when I'm gone. However, I knew from Walker's slight smile all throughout dinnertime, that he does not plan to let my father off even one bit. This seemed to have left a bad influence on Leo, as he started imitating Walker's smile halfway through dinner as well. I could only furrow my brows and hope nothing happens to me either.
