After quite an eventful Monday, I hoped for a more relaxing Tuesday. As I headed down to make breakfast, I saw James walking out of my room.
"Good morning." James muttered groggily.
"Mhm. Do you feel any better from yesterday?" I asked. "I'm sorry but I don't have any ointment in my house."
"I feel better now, thanks." James replied.
"Is it okay for you to come down and have breakfast?"
James nodded in acknowledgement.
James headed to the dining room silently and sat down. Meanwhile, I started cooking breakfast and lunch for us.
We started eating after I finished cooking. James was a quiet person so he did not talk during our meal.
"I've made lunch for you as well. You can just heat it up in the microwave when you feel hungry." I said.
"Shouldn't I be going to school?" James asked softly.
"No, it's better if you stay here. You still need to recuperate." I shook my head in disagreement.
As we continue eating, I started recalling when James and I became friends.
*****************
[This is a flashback]
Most of the time, it was Leo that liked to make friends and hang out with others. Therefore, I would normally only be friends with Leo's friends. However, when we were in Grade 8, Leo forced me to play Truth or Dare with him. What's worse, I was only allowed to use Dare.
It was during lunch break. As both of us decided to stay behind in class to eat lunch instead of going to the cafeteria, we were still sitting in our assigned seats. Leo was seated directly in front of me and both of us were seating in the middle row.
"Truth or Dare." Leo asked cheekily. At the time, Leo just hit puberty, but his voice stayed high-pitch, not even cracking once. The only noticeable change was that he seemed to be slightly taller and slimmer than before.
"Truth." I replied.
"Kiss me." Leo squeaked.
"That's not a question."
"I said dares only, remember?" Leo replied in a playful tone.
I rolled my eyes and simply stared at him without doing anything.
"Fine, I'll dare you to do something simpler." Leo thought for a while. "How about I dare you to hold my hands after school until we go back home?"
"Fine." I acquiesced. "Truth or Dare." It was my turn to ask Leo.
"Truth." Leo replied.
"Why are you forcing me to play Truth or Dare?" I asked in a serious tone.
"To get you to do ecchi things with me." Leo leaned over and whispered in my ear. "And also to seduce you."
I immediately shivered.
"Alright it's my turn again." Leo said gleefully. "Truth or Dare."
"Why bother asking when I'm only allowed to say dare." I rolled my eyes.
"I want you to rip up my pants, push me against the wall, and-"
"Stop." I immediately glared at Leo.
"Fine. I want you to let me touch you."
"No." I replied.
"Hey! You were supposed to do whatever the darer tells you to do!" Leo protested.
"No means no." At that moment, I realized I said something strange but decided to ignore it.
"Fine! Let me think for a moment." He placed his index finger and thumb on his jaw and held his elbow against the table and stared downwards, making he seem like The Thinker. He then raised his head to level his face against mine and said, "I want you to make a friend."
I tilted my head. "What do you mean?"
"Arrgh! Is it that hard!" Leo yelled at me. "Just find someone in the classroom! Just one person, and chat with him or something! God, why is it so hard for you to make a friend?" Leo facepalmed.
"...Fine." I reluctantly stood up and looked around the classroom. There were many people that grouped up together, chatting merrily while eating their own lunches. Then, I noticed in the back corner by the window, sat a person who was eating his lunch alone. The boy was thin, his face looked delicate, and he seemed to be quite lonely in my eyes.
I headed over to him. When I stood in front of him, he did not even notice I was there, only staring at his food.
"You. Come with me."
"Wha-ah!" The boy screamed. He immediately jumped in fright. Before he had a chance to react, I pulled his arm and headed back towards Leo.
"Wait! Where are you taking me?" The boy asked, helpless as he was pulled along by me. He was so light that I could drag his entire body with only one arm.
I stood in front of Leo with the boy in toll. "There." I shoved the boy in front of myself to face Leo. "I've made a friend."
Leo rolled his eyes. "That's not called making a friend! That's called kidnapping!" He yelled.
I tilted my head. "Is there a difference?" I joked.
"Yes! There is a huge difference! For once, the boy is held against his will!" Leo looked very frustrated and seemed like he wanted to vent on something.
"But that's how you made friends with me." I replied. "When we were 5, you-"
"Okay, okay, that's enough." Leo glared at me. He then stood up and took a look at the boy. The boy immediately shifted his head, not wanting to make eye contact with him.
Leo, with his snow white, handsome features, was unable to charm the boy. Leo gave the boy a gentle smile, "Hey, what's your name?"
"J-James. James Jackson." The boy whimpered.
"Hey, James." Leo tried to be as gentle to the boy as possible. "Do you want to be our friend?" He asked softly.
James took a quick look at Leo, then tilted his head to look at me. I was staring at him intently trying to get him to say yes through eye contact. James immediately stiffened. At the time, he thought I was a wolf that was about to eat him.
"Y-yes." He stuttered reluctantly.
"Great!" Leo became more cheerful. "See Hunter, THAT's how you make friends!" He stared at me with disapproving eyes.
I went back home that day with a new friend and a pest who was holding my hand.
*********************
I departed to school with Leo, leaving James behind. The floor was wet from the rain this morning. I knew it was early this morning since the rain made me lose my sleep. As we walked to school, I saw Leo skipping over the puddles for fun.
"Stop it. You might get yourself wet." I warned.
Leo stuck out his tongue and continued skipping around. After a while, we passed by a rather large puddle of water. I simply walked around it, while Leo decided to try and jump over it.
"Don't!" I yelled.
It was too late, Leo already fell on the puddle and splashed himself with muddy water. He gazed at me with pitiful eyes. "Hunter! I'm wet!" He squealed.
"I told you not to do it but you didn't listen!" I replied. Leo came over and wanted to hug me, but I immediately dodged. "No! You're wet."
James pouted. Then, he asked, "Does that mean you will hug me if I'm not wet?"
"No." I replied curtly.
"Hunter, why are you so mean to me!" Leo cried in an exhaggerated manner.
Leo tried to hug me multiple times, but failed miserably. When we arrived at school, I told Leo, "Let's go to the locker room. I have a spare uniform."
Leo's eyes brightened. He followed me to the locker room and got changed.
"Why do I always get my spare uniforms taken by him?" I thought to myself. I remembered what happened in the locker room a few days ago then realized my manhood reacted a little. My face immediately darken.
"Hey, what's wrong Hunter?" Leo asked curiously.
I immediately turned my facial expression into a nonchalant one. "Nothing." I replied.
We ended up arriving for our first period five minutes late. The teacher scolded us for quite a bit after class ended before allowing us to go.
