9.15% My Neighbor Calls Me Daddy / Chapter 38: "I really hope we wouldn't do anything perverted this time."

Chương 38: "I really hope we wouldn't do anything perverted this time."

Leo instantly ate a whole load of vinegar. "Then why did you take it from that girl?!" He shouted indignantly.

"Because I wanted to give it to you." I joked.

Leo immediately flushed again.

"Just kidding. You were the one who told me to do something just now so I did." I reasoned.

"Hunter no baka!" Leo used his fists to lightly hit my arm. "That was not what I meant!"

I ignored him and sat down across from James, who was sulking.

Leo pouted and sat down next to me.

James looked up, staring at Leo. He wanted to say something but didn't know how to start.

"You don't have to apologize, James." Leo gave a reassuring smile. "It's not your fault that your class didn't vote for me."

"But-But I promised to you that my class would vote for you. I broke that promise." James whimpered.

"Don't be like that James!" Rebecca held her arms around James' shoulder and pulled him towards herself. She ruffled his hair. "It's completely your classmates' fault, not yours!"

James was shoved to Rebecca's side, his cheek being rubbed by the side of Rebecca's left boob. He instantly blushed. "Rebecca! You're too close!" James yelled.

Rebecca, who completely lacked any femininity, did not feel any embarassment. "Come on. We're friends! What's a bit of skinship between bros!" Rebecca laughed loudly.

"But you're a girl!" James shouted within his own mind.

I simply ate my own food, ignoring their antics.

Leo started chatting with Rebecca on what to do next with his campaign. I was forced to go along with them to the BL Club on Thursday for another strategy meeting.

"I really hope we wouldn't do anything perverted this time." I thought to myself, sighing.

The rest of class passed by in a breeze, while I was heading off to basketball practice, a certain senior was forced to head home after staying at a hotel last night to wallow in his pain.

[This section is in the POV of Mike Alexson]

After school ended for Mike, one of his father's bodyguard walked into the school and waited for him. The bodyguard was wearing a standard black suit, his bulkiness fully revealed from the tight clothes. Seeing the bodyguard by the door, Mike knew that he could not avoid his father this time.

"Get me home." Mike told the bodyguard reluctantly.

The bodyguard brought him to a black SUV and sat next to him at the back to make sure he doesn't run away. The driver, another person wearing a black suit, stared the car and started driving. They arrived at a helipad two miles away.

Afterwards, Mike got on a helicopter with the bodyguard. The helicopter lifted off, heading towards the Alexson family's home. They arrived at the private helipad next to the Alexson home within 15 minutes. Mike's father, Peter Alexson was waiting for him when Mike got off.

"Mike." Governor Alexson stared at his son and said in a disdainful tone.

"F-Father." Mike lowered his head on the ground and shivered.

Governor Alexson turned around and returned indoors. Mike quickly followed behind.

***********

It is more accurate to say that the Alexson Family home is a villa instead of a house. The villa had three whole floors, with at least 10 rooms each in each floor. The villa faced the Pacific Ocean, with their private beach right below the villa, accessible only by Alexson Family members through an elevator.

Mike headed into the villa. He always thought that although the villa was large, it felt cold, lacking a homely feel. His father already headed to his study and was waiting for him.

When Mike entered the study, he found his father sitting behind the desk, reading an antique novel while tilting his reading glasses upwards.

Mike took a look around the familiar study. It would be more accurate to say that this was a library instead of a study. There were books stacked all the way up to the ceiling, requiring a long ladder in order to get to them. Many of these books were encased in a glass box, preventing air from reaching in. They're delicately preserved first editions of various classics. The Governor, a huge fan of dystopian sci-fi novels, had purchased many books at high prices at various auctions and antique book shops.

When Peter Alexson saw his son walking in, he gestured for him to sit down at the seat across from him. Mike sat down nervously and waited for his father to speak.

Father Alexson simply flipped his novel, reading the book and completely ignoring his son. After reading for half an hour, he finally closed the book and stared at his son, who was still nervously looking at him without moving.

"I heard you lost the electoral primaries." The governor said in a low tone.

"I-I was the runner-up." Mike protested.

"A person who doesn't win first place is nothing but a loser." Father Alexson said with a disappointed tone. "I've told you this many times already, Mike."

"It wouldn't have happened if-" Mike whined.

"If it wasn't for your opponent being better than you?" Mr. Alexson chuckled disdainfully, "Don't make me laugh! You are an Alexson! You have the bloodline of me and my father and his father before him. We are all born elite politicians! Simply losing to another person, especially a junior, is simply unacceptable!" Alexson slammed his book on the desk with a hard motion, scaring Mike to the point of being frozen.

"I-I-" Mike stuttered.

"I even gave you 10 million dollars for you to sway votes before the primaries. Even a normal no-name would be able to win a random student primary with that much money, much less an Alexson! Get out! You are a disappointment to the Alexson name and you don't deserve to be my son!" Mr. Alexson shouted.

"I-"

"I said get out!" Alexson repeated.

Mike hesitated before leaving the study, closing the door behind him. He headed back to his room and locked the door. He clenched his fists, his uncontrolled anger started to manifest within him. He flipped his work desk to the ground, smashing several antique vases that caused several hundred thousand dollars. He smashed his lamp, his chair and his wardrobe. After smashing everything in his room, he finally managed to calm down.

"Leo Wilson!" He shouted to the ceiling. "You've made me embarass myself in front of my father! You will pay with your life!"

[This section is in Peter Alexson's POV]

Father Alexson have always been disappointed with his son. It was not because of his grades or his abilities but his personality. His son was way too prone to anger. A successful politician must stay calm at all times to instantly analyze and think of measures and countermeasures in every single situation. A person with heavy emotions will stifle his ability to think. His son was also way too arrogant. It does not matter if one is arrogant if he has the ability to back it up; but in his opinion, his son lacked that ability. The final fatal point was his son's lack of EQ, due to his son thinking he was above all others, he lacked the ability to befriend other people, which is fatal for a politician. A politician must always have backing, whether it is through connections or through money. Mike, however, could not make any connections due to his nature, and he had no idea how to use the huge amount of money in his disposal, as seen by his lack of results even with $10 million in his hands.

Peter Alexson sighed. "I guess I must put all my faith in my younger son."

[This section is in Hunter's POV]

My father still have not come back home. I was tempted to call Mr. Walker but decided otherwise, since he did not say anything last time, he won't say anything this time either. Leo finally decided to sleep in his own house, not disturbing me anymore.

"He must have been thinking that he will stay up all night planning out his campaign, and therefore might disturb him if he stayed in my room." I thought. Having Leo's caring side shown to him, I felt certain emotions exploding from my heart. I sighed.

After taking a quick shower, I headed off to sleep, before sleeping, my phone rang. I took a look and saw that Leo texted me.

"Good night my dear hubby."

":P" I replied before heading off to sleep. Maybe because I have been sleeping with Leo for the past few days, it took me a while to get used to being alone. It ended up taking a long time before I finally drifted off to dreamland.
