"Regrettably, I must inform you that you are hereby expelled from the Dharma kingdom," the King declared. Alex's mind raced with confusion and disbelief. "How could this happen?" he thought. "I never intended to marry, why is the plot taking such an unexpected turn?"
The priest appeared pleased with the King's decision, but Alex was left reeling. He opened his mouth to protest, but before he could speak, Priest Michal interjected, "It is a wise decision, my lord." Alex couldn't help but wonder at the priest's unwavering loyalty to the King. As a former spy for the church, it was surprising that he had come to hold such respect for the monarchy. Despite his confusion, Alex couldn't help but admire the priest's unshakable dedication to his beliefs.
[Within the hierarchical structure of the church, the role of the high priest reigns supreme as the ultimate decision-maker in the realm of the human Kingdom. Priests, on the other hand, hold positions of authority in their respective domains but ultimately must defer to the high priest's directives. Acting as a crucial ally to the high priest, the head nun assumes a leadership role among her peers, assisting in the execution of the church's objectives. For nuns, their duties primarily involve assisting the priests in their clerical functions while adhering strictly to the church's established rules. The church's influential followers include individuals of high nobility, royalty, prominent businessmen, and affluent members of society. Lastly, commoners who fervently believe in the church's teachings and adhere to its principles without reservation constitute the bulk of the church's faithful followers.]
The king directed the priest to take his seat, gesturing for Alex to approach. "As you are aware," he began, his voice carrying a regal tone, "the remarrying system exists in name only. The royalty doesn't even recognize its existence, so I cannot directly marry you to the queen or princess. However, if they both are willing to accept you as their husband, I will honor their decision."
Alex's heart raced with anticipation, but the king's next words gave him pause. "They will have to leave this kingdom and travel to the last city."
"Why the last city?" Alex asked, his brow furrowing in confusion.
"The compensation you requested is on behalf of the king," the king replied solemnly. "But I was not just a king; I was also a friend of your parents. In compensation for breaking my promise to them, I will make you the city head of the last city."
Alex's jaw dropped in shock and gratitude. "Thank you, Your Highness," he stammered, bowing deeply.
As he made his way to the queen, memories flooded his mind of their childhood promise. He approached her with confidence, reminding her of the vow they had made so long ago. As she listened, a spark ignited in her eyes, and he knew that his dreams were about to come true.
