Two people are walking in the dim moonlight. The young man wears a simple T-shirt and jeans but looks handsome and dashing, while the young woman wears a windbreaker and a backpack. She looks like someone who just came from school.
The two of them walked as the young man began asking her day and what she did. He was interested in her life, which made her a little ticked off.
But who can blame him?
Although Jenny Mae is Curt's girlfriend, the two have never been together all the time. They never shared any intimate moments, and he never knew anything about her. If it was the Curt from before, this is already good, but he is not the same guy. He had already changed as his memories combined with the others in his head.
Although his actions are the same as the old Curt, some unconscious actions show that he is different. And this is what made Jenny Mae curious about him. The truth is, she never really liked Curt. She is just using him as her disguise. However, as the two stayed together, she felt comfortable, safe, and less guarded.
It was not until that day that he hugged her. She was really surprised at that time and became enraged. She was not able to control her temper and her mind just went blank as she began attacking him. Later she knew what had happened and stopped, but she already made a mess of everything. In her embarrassment, she ran. She didn't want to talk to him.
In fact… she was afraid.
Jenny didn't know what she felt after that and just focused on learning and school. Plus, she also uses her part-time job as a distraction and it was a bit successful. Until she heard of what happened to him, and she was worried.
But who would have known that it only took one day for Curt to heal? And right now, he is like a monkey running all over her and talking non-stop. She felt annoyed, but she also felt happy.
"What is up with this guy? He is asking far too many questions today… and why should we walk?" she thought, as she didn't bother with him.
"Hey, Jenny… umm… when did you find out that you like me?" Curt suddenly asked out of the blue.
He had asked her a lot of questions, but this was the question of which he didn't expect to come out of his mouth. Although he wanted to retract, the bullet had already been fired.
With a smile on his handsome face, he waited, but behind him, his fingers were already crossed.
Suddenly, Jenny stopped and looked at him.
"Oh, my gosh!… is she going to say that she didn't love me?"
"No, that is impossible, although she is cold, I know that she also likes me… right?... No… be optimistic, Curt. She likes me. I know she likes me… But… but what if she says no? Or would she say that she didn't? What should I do?" Curt was already crying in his mind as he began to deduce all the possible things that Jenny would say.
He was really scared now. In truth, he wanted to cover his ears and not listen to what she was going to say. He wanted to run so that he would never know the answer.
He didn't know if she loved him or not. In the times that they were together, he never heard her say that she loved him.
However, Curt forgot that he too never said that he liked her.
At that time, he just asked if she could be his girlfriend. And she just said "Yes…"
This is the most intense feeling that he had in his life. It was the most exhilarating moment of his entire experience while living.
But of course, that was before.
Curt looked at her phoenix eyes and his expression sank.
This is because she has no expression. She is like a robot. Suddenly, he noticed her eyes looking at a certain location. And when he turns his sight, he discovers that they have already arrived.
Tonight, he wanted to have a nice dinner with her. Hence, he chose this restaurant. When he said that they were going to have a restaurant in this restaurant, Jenny immediately felt suspicious.
How could he afford to eat at such a lavish and expensive restaurant? However, she didn't care. If he can't pay, then she will. At least it was her way to apologize for ruining his apartment at that time.
The two entered, and they were greeted by the attendant.
"Table for two please," Jenny said politely.
She didn't want to embarrass Curt, so she acted on her own.
Curt was a bit surprised, but his attention was already inside the restaurant. The reason for this is that the restaurant is truly extravagant and most people inside wear expensive clothes. It seems that this restaurant is truly for rich and powerful people.
When the two entered, their appearance caught some of the people's eyes. This is true, especially for Jenny Mae. That is because some of the people inside the restaurant knew who she was.
"Isn't that Jenny?"
"Yeah… who's the guy? Oh my, he looks handsome."
"I think she found herself a boy toy. Hihi…"
"Shhh… Don't get her attention, I don't want trouble."
"Hey, isn't that one of the most promising Espers in the city? She looks okay… and a little cold."
"Who is the guy with her?"
"Ahh… puppy love… Hihi…"
Some of the people inside began to discuss while others didn't bother with them.
Curt and Jenny also didn't mind these people, especially Curt. Why would he care? He didn't know any of them anyway. He just wanted to treat the woman he loved in a nice restaurant.
And so, not long later, the two were given a menu by the waitress.
"I want the chef's recommendation," Jenny said after checking the menu.
The waitress at the side began to explain the dish for the night. She was a bit surprised that the young woman was able to calmly ask this question as if she was already used to eating in expensive restaurants like theirs.
After the waitress explained the menu, she walked away from their table.
"Wow… you're cool." Curt suddenly said with his eyes gleaming.
He didn't know what just happened. Although he wanted to buy dinner for her, he was ignorant of the formalities in that place. He was expecting to know what to do next, but who would have known that his mind was all blank? Hence, he just let her lead.
Jenny didn't respond to his praises and just scanned her surroundings at one glance. At that instant, she can immediately memorize and find out the faces of those people in the restaurant. And she knew some of them.
There are those schoolmates of hers, and some acquaintances that she knew.
While waiting, she noticed that Curt was looking at her with his gentle smile. She wanted to laugh at his love-struck face. But she controlled herself.
Meanwhile, Curt is looking at her with his heart filled with love and devotion. He would never get tired of looking at her phoenix eyes. This is the reason why he fell in love with her in the first place. As two faces inside his mind combine into one, his heart is filled with affection towards her.
While this is happening, two people suddenly enter the restaurant. When some of the people saw that person, they immediately stood from their seats and greeted the middle-aged man walking beside a teenage boy.
When the people approached his father, the boy showed displeasure in his face.
How could he not? With his father's busy schedule, this is the only time they can have dinner together. And now these people are trying to get their father's time from him. This is truly irritating for the teenage boy.
However, he could not do anything about it. So he just turned around and tried to find their seat. As he walked following the waitress leading them, his footsteps suddenly halted. This is because he saw someone whom he knew.
But before he could react, he saw two beautiful young women walking towards that table.
"Why if it isn't Jenny… what are you doing here? Do you know that this place is expensive?"
"Hey, what are you saying? She has her friend Loo Crystal backing her up, how can she worry about money?"
"Yeah, I guess being friends with a rich young lady from a big family is something she can be proud of… Hihi…"
The three began to talk as if they were close to Jenny.
The atmosphere at that table became a bit cold as Jenny's aura began to exude in her body. But when the teenage boy saw what was happening, his face showed a worried expression.
She didn't want the person whom he knew to be ashamed. Hence, he immediately took action.
With large strides, he immediately appears near the table where Curt and Jenny are sitting.
"Hey, remember me?" he immediately asked as he took a seat as if he was with them.
His casual action was simple, but for those two young women, the appearance of the youth was a bit annoying.
"Hey, you…" one of them wanted to scold the brat but was stopped by the other.
The one who seemed to notice who the teenage boy was, immediately dragged her friend away from that table.
"Are you crazy? Do you know who that young boy is?"
"What… you know him?"
The other young woman who was dragging her friends just nudged her head toward the direction of a man who was talking with other people.
When her friend saw the man in the middle, her eyes went wide in disbelief.
"This… that… that guy is…"
"Shhh… Let's go."
As the two went away, the teenage boy showed a pleasant smile on his face.
"Hey, remember me?" he suddenly asked with an excited smile on his face.
"I was told that you were away last time, and heard that there was an accident in that place. I was really worried. But seeing you know and knowing that you are fine, I'm relieved."
"What are you doing here?" suddenly Curt asked with a knitted brow.
He knew who this young boy was. He is one of the most annoying boys he met in his lifetime. This boy would pester him in the store whenever he came for a visit. Ever since he bought many of his trinkets and talismans, this young man has always bothered him.
The reason for this is simple. The young man wanted to be his disciple.
